It was absolutely the worst room I ever stayed at. The room stunk of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was so small that the toilet seemed to be close to the floor. It was dark in the bathroom with very low lighting. The tiny bar of soap went in the drain, and I had to dig it out. The bath towels were like dish cloths and very thin. The pillows were like bricks. Not a good experience at all.

The Pigeon Forge Parkway Inn aims to provide straightforward lodging with easy access to the area's many attractions. While some guests highlight its prime location and certain amenities, it's also important to consider the varying experiences reported by previous visitors. Let’s explore the details of this inn to help you determine if it's the right choice for your upcoming Pigeon Forge getaway.
The Pigeon Forge Parkway Inn is located at 3229 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863, USA. For residents across Tennessee, this address puts it right in the thick of the action on the bustling main street of Pigeon Forge. Its position on the Parkway provides a significant advantage for accessibility, making it easy to reach from various entry points into Pigeon Forge.
This location means that many of Pigeon Forge's popular attractions are either within walking distance or just a very short drive away. For instance, the hotel is a ten-minute walk from the LeConte Center at Pigeon Forge and is described as being "walking distance to mini-golf, an arcade, restaurants and attractions." Popular spots like The Island in Pigeon Forge, Hollywood Wax Museum, and the Titanic Museum are also easily accessible by car or via the city trolley line, which offers low-cost transportation throughout Pigeon Forge, including to Dollywood. The strategic placement on the Parkway means less time spent navigating side roads and more time enjoying the area's entertainment, dining, and shopping. This level of convenience is a strong draw for Tennessee locals looking to maximize their time in this vibrant mountain town.
Pigeon Forge Parkway Inn provides a range of basic services and amenities typical of a value-oriented hotel. While the aim is to offer convenience, it is important to note that the quality and consistency of these services can vary, as reflected in some guest reviews. Here's a general overview of what guests can expect:
Pigeon Forge Parkway Inn offers several features that it aims to highlight for potential guests:
However, it is crucial to present a balanced view, as numerous customer reviews highlight significant negative experiences:
These detailed negative accounts suggest a significant discrepancy between advertised features and actual guest experience, particularly concerning basic comfort, cleanliness, and customer service.

It is highly recommended to call the hotel directly to confirm room availability, current pricing, specific amenities, and any policies or fees, particularly in light of the varied customer experiences reported.
For Tennessee residents considering a stay in Pigeon Forge, the Pigeon Forge Parkway Inn presents a complex picture of suitability. Its most significant positive aspect, universally acknowledged, is its prime location directly on the bustling Parkway. This offers exceptional convenience, allowing for "easy walking distance" to many attractions, restaurants, and shops, including the LeConte Center. For locals familiar with Pigeon Forge's traffic, the ability to walk to key destinations is a definite advantage, potentially saving time and hassle. The availability of diverse room types, including "large suites" and rooms with Jacuzzi tubs, might also appeal to families or couples looking for more space or specific amenities. Additionally, its pet-friendly policy could be a draw for those traveling with their furry companions.
However, it is crucial for locals to carefully weigh these potential benefits against the significant and severe negative feedback from recent guests. The repeated complaints about fundamental issues such as pervasive cigarette smoke odors, poor bathroom conditions (dark, small, loose toilets), extremely uncomfortable beds and pillows, and inadequate towels raise serious concerns about basic comfort and hygiene. Furthermore, reports of non-functional in-room appliances (AC, refrigerator), unreliable Wi-Fi and TV service, and especially, highly "rude treatment" from staff, unresponsiveness to complaints, and unadvertised fees, paint a very concerning picture of guest experience and management quality. The description of a parking lot with "broken down cars" and issues with security and noise (drunk people, chirping fire alarm) detract significantly from any sense of peace or safety.
While the price point might initially seem attractive, the potential for a profoundly negative and frustrating experience, as detailed in multiple reviews, should give any local pause. For Tennesseans prioritizing a comfortable, clean, and hassle-free stay with reliable service, it would be highly advisable to thoroughly research recent, detailed reviews and perhaps explore other options in Pigeon Forge that consistently receive higher marks for cleanliness, maintenance, and customer satisfaction, even if it means a slightly higher cost. Your vacation experience in our beautiful Smoky Mountains deserves to be free from these potential significant drawbacks.

Mar 27, 2025 · Ken JennettiSomehow I got bamboozled into renting a room here through the booking.com website. Although the pictures on the site showed the other location up the street which is where I wanted to stay, there is also a 50 dollar non negotiable fee they charge you when you check in that the site does not tell you about. This place is a sad excuse for a hotel, I arrived and the lot was full what spots was empty had a chair sitting in them so I asked guy at the desk if I could move one since I had payed to stay and he said we'll no not really... I had to park around back. The room was musty, the lighting was terrible, the ac system wouldn't blow at all it was just on that's all you got, the refrigerator made noise all night, the wifi sucked, the fire alarm started chirping when I was going to sleep and chirped all night till the battery died, the bed was so stiff my back was hurting when I woke up, no option for breakfast because the office isn't open in the morning although I didn't expect much to begin with... definitely won't make the same mistake of booking this place again.
Apr 14, 2025 · ShaneHotel was good.. Rooms clean. Bed was noisy when you got on and off it. Good parking and quiet. Good location. Make sure you use a credit card not a debit card as they will charge you $50 extra over the price you pay to Capital One Travel. In my case they had a system error which resulted in a $100 charge. Will give credit where it's due that the hotel manager did call and tell me about the extra charge.
Nov 09, 2024 · Peter BennettAbsolutely would NOT stay here. Tha amenities suck, barely having any at all, advertised indoor pool and was closed, the coffee pot in the room didn't even work, the remote didn't even have a back on it, the breakfast (if you can even call it that) was trashy granola bars, no juices, nothing to drink with them, staff isn't very friendly. And had roaches in the room. I wouldn't recommend this place to any one and will NEVER be staying here again.
