Terrible Parking Experience at Quality Inn Hotel. I had an absolutely awful experience with the parking spot I booked at the Quality Inn Hotel near Buffalo Airport. My reservation was from 1:30 PM onwards, and I arrived at 1:38 PM. Upon arrival, I called the shuttle number provided, but the call was answered by a very rude receptionist. She was unhelpful and did not answer any of my questions correctly. When I went to the reception, she informed me that the next shuttle was at 4:30 PM. I explained that my flight was at 5 PM and that the booking stated shuttles were available every 30 minutes, with no mention of needing to pre-book. Her response was dismissive and rude, leaving even my 10-year-old daughter appalled. She threatened to cancel my parking reservation, acting as if she owned the place. Her attitude was so unpleasant and unprofessional that it ruined my entire experience. I cannot recommend this parking spot to anyone due to the disrespectful treatment I received. Upon returning from my journey five days later, I didn’t bother calling for the shuttle, anticipating the same rude receptionist. Instead, I walked from the airport to the parking spot, which further highlighted the inconvenience and poor service provided by this establishment. Avoid the Quality Inn Hotel parking near Buffalo Airport at all costs.
For those in Buffalo seeking accommodations under the "Hotels Near Of Me," particularly when prioritizing proximity to the airport and a budget-friendly option, the Quality Inn Airport, located at 4217 Genesee St Building A, Buffalo, NY 14225, USA, presents itself as a choice. This hotel aims to cater primarily to airport travelers, offering essential amenities and a convenient location, though guest experiences can be varied.
Environment and Location:
The Quality Inn Airport boasts a highly strategic location directly across the street from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF), making it exceptionally convenient for travelers with early flights or late arrivals. Its close proximity, approximately 1 to 1.1 miles from the terminal, allows for quick access, either via the hotel's complimentary shuttle service or even a short walk for those who prefer. Despite being so close to the airport, guest reviews indicate that room noise from aircraft is generally not a significant issue. The hotel's location also offers easy access to I-90, connecting guests to downtown Buffalo, which is about 13 km away, and other regional attractions, including Niagara Falls (approximately 25 miles). For shopping and dining, the large Walden Galleria Mall is within a short driving distance, providing numerous options. While the hotel is an older property, its primary draw is its direct connection to airport travel. A notable feature is the free self-parking on-site, with options for extended parking available for an additional fee (reported at USD 6.75 per night), making it practical for park-and-fly arrangements.
Services and Amenities:
The Quality Inn Airport focuses on providing core services essential for travelers. A key amenity is the complimentary "on-the-go" breakfast, available daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. While some older mentions might refer to a "hot buffet breakfast," more recent information suggests a more grab-and-go style. The hotel offers a free 24-hour airport shuttle service on request. However, it's crucial to note that shuttle service has been a significant point of contention for some guests. Reviews mention issues with long wait times, a lack of clear scheduling, and instances of unhelpful or rude front desk staff when inquiring about shuttle availability, leading to frustrating experiences. Conversely, some guests have praised specific shuttle drivers, like "Haidar," for their kindness and excellent service. This indicates an inconsistency in service delivery.
Complimentary wired and wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) is available throughout the hotel and in guest rooms. For guests seeking to maintain their fitness routine, a 24-hour fitness center is provided. While some listings mention a jacuzzi, consistent information about an indoor pool is not prominently featured in recent reviews or property amenity lists, suggesting it might not be a standard feature or is not consistently highlighted. For business travelers, a business center with a computer station, fax, and copy services, along with a meeting room suitable for small group functions (1000 sq. feet, capacity 84 people), is available. Other amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities (self-serve laundry and laundry service), a safe-deposit box at the front desk, vending machines, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. The hotel states it is pet-friendly for service animals, but pets are generally not allowed, so pet owners should clarify policies directly.
Features and Accommodations:
The Quality Inn Airport is an older property that underwent its last renovation in 2018 and is primarily a two-floor building with no elevator access to upper floors, which is an important consideration for guests with mobility issues or heavy luggage. The hotel offers 104 rooms, including standard rooms and a single suite. Rooms are described as clean, though some reviews of older sections may have noted musty smells or issues like tacky carpets. Each room is equipped with a TV (with premium cable channels), a desk, a microwave, and a refrigerator, which are valuable amenities for travelers. Other in-room conveniences include a coffee/tea maker, an iron and ironing board, and a private bathroom with a bathtub/shower combination, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Pillow-top beds are a common feature. Free cribs/infant beds are available, and rollaway/extra beds can be provided for an additional nightly fee (USD 10). Connecting rooms are also available. Despite some dated aspects, many guests find the rooms provide the necessary comfort for a short stay, emphasizing the practical inclusions like the microwave and fridge.
Promotional Information and Value:
As a Choice Hotels brand, the Quality Inn Airport participates in the Choice Privileges loyalty program. Members can earn points on their stays and redeem them for free nights, gift cards, and other rewards. Exclusive member rates are often available when booking directly through Choice Hotels. Potential guests can inquire about current promotions directly by calling the hotel at (716) 204-7939 or +1 716-204-7939. Common promotions may include seasonal discounts, advanced purchase rates, and special pricing for AAA and AARP members, as well as government/military and corporate rates. The hotel also offers a "Sleep and Fly" package, which typically combines an overnight stay with extended parking and airport shuttle service, providing significant value for those flying out of BUF. The inclusion of free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and free on-site self-parking for standard stays (with reasonably priced extended parking) contributes to its appeal as a budget-friendly option. However, the perceived value can be heavily influenced by individual experiences with shuttle service reliability and staff demeanor, as highlighted in some negative reviews. It's always recommended to check the official Choice Hotels website for the most current offers and to confirm specific policies, especially regarding shuttle schedules and extended parking arrangements.
In summary, the Quality Inn Airport Buffalo is a practical choice for travelers seeking a convenient and affordable stay near the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, offering essential amenities like complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, and free parking. While its location is a major asset, prospective guests should manage expectations regarding potential inconsistencies in shuttle service and certain aspects of customer interaction, and be aware of the property's older nature and lack of elevator access to all rooms.

Apr 14, 2025 · Sameer ShirkeThank you Haidar! The staff at the front desk were diligent and helped me promptly. Haidar was my shuttle driver from the Hotel to the airport. He has a great smile and his service is great. Each time he ensured my bags were brought in and out. Thank you for your kindness Haidar! You made my shuttle experience enjoyable. Ryan
Mar 20, 2025 · Ryan NaarThe very lovely gentleman AH was absolutely perfect apon arrival and helped me with everything I asked. The rooms are tidy. Microwave and fridge are clean. This location is very convenient for a passer-by or a traveler by plane. There are plenty of restaurants within driveway distance; if you prefer to walk, McDonald's is right here. They are going through a remodel so there isn't breakfast at this time.
Mar 28, 2025 · Kate DemersHorrible customer service from Nicki! This lady was so rude and disrespectful with us. We requested the shuttle services and she was knocking at our door rushing us and screaming Hurry up, there are other guests waiting for you! We have a toddler and if we need time to get ready. As guests, we expect to be treated with care and professionalism. Everybody deserves respect. I do not want to believe that she was doing all this because we are Latinos. We live in Fl and this was our first time in Buffalo. Our flight was cancelled and we had to book this hotel for 1 night to take the sooner flight the next day. I would never recommend this hotel to my family or friends. Awful experience !

No light in the bathroom, broken outlets, no coffee pot, no desk chair, broken electric outlets, no shower curtain, NO WORKING SHOWER!!! Insanity!!
