Location is great! It is within walking distance of Hanes Mall, it is right beside Novant hospital, it is within a short distance of many eating and shopping areas. It is currently going through a remodel and most of the rooms look to be upgraded. However, you can get one of the older rooms at a lower rate. They do offer both smoking and non-smoking rooms in double beds or King and all of the above in upgraded or not upgraded. It's a little confusing, but the upgraded rooms are much nicer than I expected. We have been here for a couple of weeks and it has been so quiet and peaceful, unlike so many other hotels around here. They do have breakfast everyday up in the lobby area. However, there are signs everywhere posted that you are not allowed to take food out of that area, which I find kind of disappointing. My young daughter is shy and will absolutely not go up to eat so we usually bring her food back to the room and are not able to do that here. They even have a guard set up in the mornings to watch and make sure people do not leave with food. They do have a nice size swimming pool and it is going to be opening Memorial Day weekend, hopefully.

May 23, 2025 · Casey WilliamsThis hotel room had some maintenance issues. The door lock was broken and there were big gaps at the bottom of the door. I was assured it was from foundation settling but it looked like someone tried to break the doors in. There were red and white body fluid colored stains on the carpet and furniture. The jets in the tub didn’t work. On the last day, the tub water ran brown. Even though the room was non-smoking, there was a strong smell of cigarettes and marijuana coming from the next room. On Friday and Saturday night there are people driving cars in the parking lot playing very loud music and hanging out outside. There was a lot of debris, clothing and shoes near the hotel stairs indicating a homeless problem in the area. I found the signs in the breakfast area telling customers NOT TO TAKE FOOD from the area very rude. When someone took a juice they were given a nasty look. The front desk staff was very nice and any stars are due to them being kind and helpful.
May 19, 2025 · Amanda's QuestThe building was not clean, smelled and in disrepair. I found rashes over my body on my second day. I found large stains on the sheets and bed cover. No staff to replace dirty bedding. I had to replace myself. Food service was consistently late, and even though there were two servers for the small offering of food, the food trays, cups, bowls were frequently empty. Coffee was horrible and the dispenser machine needed cleaning and only two of the many options worked. We will NOT be returning.
May 22, 2025 · Ana CastroI was pleasantly surprised by this motel! The rooms were far more luxurious and well-appointed than I expected. From the tasteful decor to the comfortable bedding and modern amenities, everything exceeded my expectations. It had a warm, inviting vibe that made my stay feel more like a boutique hotel than a typical roadside stop. Definitely a hidden gem I'll be coming back!
Apr 22, 2025 · Bharatha Simha Reddy BethiBEWARE!!! This property is not at all what you see in the photos. As soon as we arrived to check in, we realized we had been scammed. It's a dump! The property looks like it hasn't been cleaned, painted or fixed up in YEARS! And the people loitering outside made it feel very sleazy. Unless you’re looking for a "room-by-the-hour" kind of place, DO NOT book here! RUN! The manager refused to admit that the property was misrepresented in the photos and refused to give us a refund. Thankfully we ended up staying at the Courtyard Marriott Hanes Mall which was just a few minutes away and had a wonderful stay. It was well worth paying $20 more! And have a look at who wrote the great reviews, they are fake accounts. Another scam!
