The Ramada Inn in Seekonk has a unique charm that really stood out to me. The building itself has amazing architecture and gives off a nostalgic, almost eerie vibe that reminded me a bit of The Shining in the best possible way. While it definitely needs some updating, especially in the rooms and common areas, there’s something special about the character and atmosphere that I really enjoyed. The hotel restaurant was a pleasant surprise with fantastic food and great service. Overall, if you're into places with personality and a story, this one’s worth a visit

May 19, 2025 · Christopher LayThis was fine for one night, I definitely won’t be staying again. The room was fairly clean, but definitely had a distinct odor; like it had been smoked in a LOT twenty years ago. The shower took a long, long time to get hot. The towels were clean, but pretty threadbare. The staff were all nice and helpful, and having a restaurant downstairs was very convenient. Definitely out dated; you can tell the rooms haven’t been changed since the 70s.
Apr 07, 2025 · Kevin WebbVery outdated hotel. The wallpaper is peeling, I would have needed a 10 ft extension cord to have my phone plugged in near the bed or needed to move a large chest of drawers. None of the lamps or clocks have USB ports and most of the outlets are not near a table so I had my electronic drapes across chairs. The the rooms were adequate and there was nothing horrible. There was no breakfast provided which I find unusual, even some granola bars and fruit would have been a welcome addition. Add to that that when I tried to check in at 2:45 I was informed that I could pay a $30 early check and fee or wait 15 minutes. Two other people ahead of me were given the same choice. Please note I am a gold member, and even if I wasn't when you are that close to check in time it seems the best thing to do is say well check in is not till 3:00 but I can waive the early check and fee for you this time. I understand if I'd been an hour early but 15 minutes was a little ridiculous.
May 10, 2025 · Wendy KrehbielMid March, 2025: I couldn’t decide between 2 and 3 stars. 3 feels a bit generous, but 2 felt like a blow to its attempt at being nice. The furniture is all very old. The bed is quite comfy! I generally don’t like hotel pillows but these were great! The carpet feels….well, it needs to be replaced. The hall ways smell of smoke and wet dog. My biggest complaint if the room we were in was how thin the walls were. We were in a room on floor 2 and out the window I could see my car, which was nice. But BOTH sides of the room had a door going into someone else’s room. One side had a young man talking on zoom until 10 pm and the other side had a family with at least 2 kids stomping around and yelling (mind you, they were happy yells!) until 11:30pm! I had to play gentle background music and put in ear plugs to drown out the noise enough to sleep. Again, great bed!! So that’s something. The bathroom is very clean and a nice size. The lighting in the room feels dingy and weak. I had to turn on all the lights and both lamps just to feel bright enough to read. The lamps and side tables feel old, but not in a nice vintage way. There is an unplugged alarm clock covered in dust. There is a mini fridge and a microwave. The weird part is the hutch. There’s a …hutch of sorts that clearly used to hold and old tube tv. Now the tv is mounted on the wall above it, but the hutch is still there, now holding the ice bucket? So strange. The curtains are very blackout, which is needed for the street lights right out there. My other biggest complaint is the air quality. It’s stuffy in here. A good temperature, but no air flow. I want to crack a window or have central air on or something for some movement. Location: well, since everything in Providence is crazy expensive, this was an okay option. However, it’s on an auto mile. There are just car dealership after car dealership down the street. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. The entrance and front desk area gives off the vibe as if it was a prime place to stay 20 years ago. The one staff person who checked us in was very kind and efficient. So, 2 for the hallway smell, furniture in the rooms and the paper thin doors leading to other peoples rooms. (Why not spread us out a little? This place can’t be fully booked….in March….) And a score of 3 for the clean bathroom, nice bed, nice staff, easy parking. Do not expect luxury and it’ll be a decent night.
Mar 15, 2025 · Tiffany NI am giving this place a number 2 rating only because of an encounter with customer service which made me feel a little bit discriminated against. When I came to check-in unknowingly about whether there was a deposit or not and if since I didn't have my identification would it be allowed for my husband to put my pre-reserved room in his name.. My identification has expired and I had just moved to the state of Rhode Island less than a couple months ago. The manager was super accommodating he also commended me for being a diamond member of Wyndham which is the highest you can be. He allowed an early check-in and also allowed me to upgrade my room from a king, to a king suite they had because it was available. It does come with my diamond membership to be upgraded at request, but not all hotels have to honor it. Early check-in also comes with my Wyndham rewards level. He also allowed us to put our deposit in cash so that there would be no hold on our cards. After speaking with him and setting plans to come back at the time he allowed us to because we came extremely too early, even earlier than early check-in time, we arrived back to the front desk to check in, but with another customer service person handling my reservation. This woman immediately said no to everything we said we were there for which was our upgraded room, & the manager knew that my husband would be putting the room in his name. Even though I am the Wyndham member who booked without ID on hand, my credibility should have shown just by my diamond membership. You can only get those by loyal stays for years. I also showed a picture of my expired ID on my phone. The woman checking us in quickly ran to the manager to fact check what we told her the manager approved, which I commend her for doing she should have. The issue I had was how she handled not "believing me" when I said that the manager upgraded me to a suite and early check-in. She wasn't at all too worried about the identification because we both were over age but she was like no I don't think you're going to get a suite right now and no I don't think you can check in this early... Like i lied about it. She went to ask the manager right in front of our faces he said in a "clearly duh" type of tone "Diamond members get early check-ins and suites if they're available yes check them in". She said huh okay as if it was unbelievable that me and my black husband could afford a room like that. Still she refused to check us in because of the fact that he said we could put our deposit in cash so she had to fact check that as well... Even after the manager told her take the cash she wouldn't swipe our cards for the room until my husband counted out his money to make sure she got it. It was a little embarrassing and also a little degrading how she made us feel. The rooms were very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very outdated old school outdated. I am in my early thirties so when I say outdated that's what I mean. There was coffee stains on some of the curtins that were hanging from the windows that separated the room. When we went into our room we had no towels and nothing for coffee. After realizing the front desk woman checked in a diamond member her whole attitude changed so when I called about it she said "oh God they said that was room was ready I apologize ma'am I'll hurry up and get that up to you." Which she did. There was a very nice restaurant we didn't have a chance to sit at because we didn't enjoy the way we were kind of talked to when we first got to the hotel but overall the parking is amazing it's very spacious many handicap spaces seems very quiet had no disruptions and the hallways didn't smell like s***. 😂 There was a very strong fish smell but it didn't come from a nice restaurant 😕 I think that they should hire people who embrace checking in people and not look at them as if they can't afford to do so. Overall my husband enjoyed his stay and I chose my best efforts not to be there as much in those 2 days.
