Was visiting from out of town and friends that I was visiting and came to see me at the hotel. The manager flipped out and would not let my friends come and see me in my room. This was not overnight and in the middle of the day nonetheless he insisted that I was trying to sneak people in the hotel so they could stay in the room overnight. Apparently he is well known for this and considering those cans everywhere and they see the people coming in and going when they come in and go he should be able to tell that is not an overnight stay nonetheless this issue is nothing short of an obsession with this man

The on-site restaurant (e.g., Denny's) offers a convenient dining solution, which can be highlighted as a benefit. For those traveling with pets, the pet-friendly policy is a distinct advantage. The hotel can also market its amenities such as the fitness center and seasonal outdoor pool as ways to enhance a guest's stay, particularly during leisure travel. For business travelers, the business center and meeting facilities are relevant aspects to promote.
Customer Experiences and Objective Assessment:
An objective assessment of Ramada New Hartford, based on the provided customer reviews and broader online sentiment, reveals significant challenges and inconsistencies in guest experience. While the hotel offers standard Ramada brand amenities, the actual implementation and guest perception are critical.
One review describes a highly negative encounter with the manager, who allegedly "flipped out" and prevented the guest's friends from visiting their room during the day, accusing them of trying to "sneak people in." This indicates a severe issue with customer service, hospitality, and potentially an overzealous application of hotel policies. The reviewer notes that the manager is "well known for this" obsession, suggesting a recurring problem that negatively impacts guest comfort and freedom. Such an experience can be deeply unsettling and detrimental to a traveler's perception of their stay, regardless of other amenities.
The second review is even more damning, stating, "there’s not 1 positive review. What a shame when the company does nothing to improve. Can’t believe it’s still operating in business." While this specific statement ("not 1 positive review") might be an exaggeration of the broader online landscape, it strongly conveys a widespread and deep dissatisfaction among guests. It highlights a perceived lack of effort from the management or brand to address ongoing issues, leading to a state where the hotel's continued operation is questioned by a guest. This feedback suggests systemic problems with maintenance, service quality, or both, that are not being adequately resolved.
Broader online searches for Ramada New Hartford reviews often corroborate these concerns, though with varying degrees of severity. Many guests report issues such as outdated facilities, cleanliness problems, maintenance issues in rooms (e.g., non-functioning amenities, worn furnishings), and inconsistent service. While some guests may find it acceptable purely as a very budget-friendly overnight stop if other options are unavailable, the pervasive negative sentiment regarding specific incidents of poor management and general operational shortcomings is a significant red flag. The consistent negative feedback regarding the property's condition and management's approach to guest relations indicates that the hotel may not be upholding the expected standards of a Ramada property. For users of "Hotels Near Me" seeking a reliable and comfortable stay, these reviews suggest that Ramada New Hartford carries a considerable risk of a disappointing experience, primarily due to issues beyond just dated decor, extending to core aspects of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Aug 07, 2024 · AnnaThis hotel was horrible from start to finish. I booked a double bed online. And paid for it. Had proof i booked double room but he wouldnt listen When we got to the hotel the man at the front desk was rude. Said there wasn't any double beds unless i paid extra. It was midnight and we had to drop our daughter off to college the next morning. Said it would be $30 extra but charged me an extra $115 on top of what I already paid. No elevators so disabled person had to walk up 2 flights of stairs. No bathroom in lobby. THIS HOTEL IS NOT A RAMDA INN. No pool like advertised. The whole place is disgusting. Rooms nasty. Breakfast was muffins stale bread and stale cereal. Will never stay here again.
Aug 23, 2022 · Beth JohnsonWorst experience with a hotel ever. We arrived late and couldn’t get there as the road was blocked off and there were zero detour signs. When we rerouted ourselves it was poorly lit and seemed deserted. Our first room was dirty, smelled of smoke and had two fully unmade beds. Our second room was on a hot stuffy second floor and had no lights that would turn on. We had to leave the hotel because we just needed a room to sleep in and felt we couldn’t trust the space we were in. It was run down and the energy felt awful. It’s been a week and half and they STILL have yet to refund my room fee in spite of assuring me it would be only a few days and me having called three times. No one has even remotely attempted to apologize for our negative experiences. In fact they’ve been quite rude about it. I’m considering reporting them to the better business bureau.
Aug 05, 2019 · Amanda SymmesThe hotel had a funny mildew odor. We had a room on the second floor, no elevator, we had to carry all baggage up a staircase. The room was very small and plain, not updated. There was no clock in the room, so you had to check your cell or watch for the time. The bedding was torn and dirty looking, definitely time to throw those bad boys out and get something new. The bathroom was very small and rundown. Also our TV had no volume. Called down to the desk and nobody answered the phone, so I had to walk down. They came up to the room and luckily were able to reset and swap out remote. If you are just looking for a place to rest for a night, and aren't traveling with children, it's doable, but I will never stay again. It's totally worth the extra money to stay at the holiday inn or Hampton inn.
