Not the place to stay! Bad location. The entire building is ran down with no security, the exterior door card key locks are broken. There was a really bad smell walking through the halls and a bad smell in my room. The door to my room was jammed and you literally have to put your shoulder into the door like the police to get it open and closed. The night attendant was rude about it. My room was horrible and my BED WAS WET! There was no other hotels available because pf the boat races. I wish I had just slept in my car and bot wasted the $100 for the night. Oh and my bath water came out brown.
The Red Carpet Inn Gibbstown, NJ, located at 299 Swedesboro Ave, Gibbstown, NJ 08027, USA, serves as a budget-friendly lodging option for individuals searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. This platform is invaluable for local users and travelers seeking immediate or proximate accommodation. The Red Carpet Inn, part of the Red Carpet Inn hotel chain franchised by Hospitality International, Inc., aims to provide essential comforts at an accessible price point, particularly for those needing a quick overnight stay or a simple base in the South Jersey region. It's crucial for prospective guests to understand that this is a motel-style property, and reviews indicate a varied guest experience, leaning towards a more basic, no-frills offering.
The Red Carpet Inn is situated on Swedesboro Avenue in Gibbstown, a location that offers practicality rather than picturesque scenery. Gibbstown is a township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, characterized by a mix of residential areas and commercial establishments, including light industrial zones. The hotel's placement along a main road ensures convenient access for guests traveling by car, particularly those utilizing major thoroughfares in South Jersey. Nearby attractions include the Bridgeport Speedway (approximately 3.9 miles away) and Gloucester County Dream Park (approximately 6.3 miles away), offering some local points of interest. While the location provides easy transit, it's described in some reviews as "bad location" or with "seedy looking people hanging out around it," which suggests that the immediate surroundings might not always feel the most inviting to all guests. The environment is typical of a roadside motel, focused on accessibility and a functional stopover, rather than a secluded or upscale retreat. The overall atmosphere emphasizes utility over aesthetics, serving a clientele primarily concerned with affordability and transit convenience.
The Red Carpet Inn provides a suite of basic services designed to meet the fundamental needs of travelers. A 24-hour front desk is available, ensuring that guests can check in at any time of day or night and receive assistance for immediate concerns. Complimentary Wi-Fi is offered throughout the property and in rooms, allowing guests to stay connected. Free self-parking is a key amenity, including free RV/bus/truck parking, which is beneficial for those traveling with larger vehicles. The hotel also provides daily housekeeping to maintain cleanliness, though recent reviews indicate significant issues in this area. Laundry facilities, including self-serve laundry, are available on-site. The hotel is pet-friendly, welcoming cats and dogs for an additional fee of $20.00 per pet, per day, with service animals exempt from fees. Vending machines are available for snacks and drinks. While these services cover the basic requirements, customer reviews reflect inconsistencies in their delivery and quality. Some guests reported a "rude" night attendant and unhelpful front desk staff regarding refunds, indicating a shortfall in consistent customer service despite the availability of a 24-hour desk.
The Red Carpet Inn offers 60 rooms, designed with essential features for a no-frills stay. Each room typically includes air conditioning, a 32-inch flat-screen TV with premium channels, a microwave, and a refrigerator, providing conveniences for storing and preparing simple meals. Private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries are standard. Free cribs/infant beds are available on request, catering to families with young children. Rooms are offered in both non-smoking and smoking configurations, with options for King or Two Double Beds. However, recent customer reviews highlight significant concerns regarding the condition and cleanliness of the rooms and the overall property. Guests have reported "filthy" rooms, "bugs on the counter," "black spots all over the sheets," "stained moldy bath tub," and "sealing tiles stained from a leak." Issues like a "bad smell walking through the halls and a bad smell in my room," a "jammed" room door requiring force to open, and even a "WET BED" indicate substantial maintenance and cleanliness challenges. There is no elevator, which could be a concern for guests with mobility issues on upper floors. While the hotel aims to offer basic amenities, the consistency of their quality and maintenance is a significant area of concern based on multiple guest accounts, suggesting that the property is "ran down" and "needs a serious deep clean and a full restoration."
For local users Browse the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the Red Carpet Inn Gibbstown, NJ, primarily competes on its low price point and basic accessibility. Promotional materials would highlight its affordability, free Wi-Fi, and free parking as key advantages for budget-conscious travelers. The pet-friendly policy is another appealing factor for guests traveling with animals. Its location near major highways and local attractions like Bridgeport Speedway might also be emphasized for convenience. However, due to the prevalence of highly negative customer reviews, potential guests using platforms that display real-time feedback would be strongly advised to temper their expectations regarding cleanliness, room condition, and overall guest experience. While the hotel offers standard amenities typical of its price range, the consistent reports of significant deficiencies in maintenance, cleanliness, and sometimes staff responsiveness, as seen in reviews ("DO NOT STAY!!!!!!!!", "Absolutely disgusting"), would likely deter many travelers seeking even a basic level of comfort and hygiene. Therefore, while it is discoverable under "Hotels Near Of Me," its promotional appeal is heavily mitigated by the objective reality of recent guest experiences, suggesting it is a choice for those for whom extreme budget constraints outweigh concerns about quality and comfort.

May 17, 2025 · Marvin AtwellDO NOT STAY!!!!!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars. We tried 4… yes 4 different rooms and each room was filthy. Bugs on the counter, black spots all over the sheets, stained moldy bath tub, sealing tiles stained from a leak most likely. Absolutely disgusting. The front desk was rude and not helpful in getting refunds. Just nasty
May 04, 2025 · Shelby EbertThis hotel is an absolute joke. The bed and mattress looked like they were picked up off the street. While driving from Canada, I called ahead, assuming it was a Red Roof hotel. After checking in with my family, I walked into the room and was immediately overwhelmed—it was that bad. We freshened up and left the hotel within 4-5 hours. We requested a partial refund, but they refused. It’s shocking that a hotel in such poor condition can even pass a health department inspection. Do not be fooled by the photos—they are completely fake and clearly taken from other hotel websites. The reality is nothing like what is advertised. Dear Owner (your reply), Defenitly you can recognize me, because you have charged my credit card, I was told charges are $118.00 for the early check in, but my CC trans show $128+, we were in room 115, 2/2/25.
