I’m genuinely surprised this property is part of the Renaissance brand. Unfortunately, the facilities and service standards fell far below what I would expect — especially from a Marriott-affiliated hotel. We stayed in the largest suite, yet basic amenities were missing. There were no conveniently located power outlets to charge our devices, and no USB plugs — something even many 3-star hotels now provide. The bathroom was disappointing: the toilet paper was extremely thin, the bathtub was clogged, and to my concern, I developed a skin reaction and rashes on my legs after the stay. Breakfast was another letdown. Despite being told there were no available tables, half of the dining area was visibly empty. Most surprising of all, I was told that ordering an omelette would incur an extra charge because it’s “not a standard egg style” — a first in my experience, especially at a hotel of this supposed calibre. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt hollow — a large space, but lacking warmth, attention to detail, and any sense of hospitality. Sadly, the majority of staff we encountered were unfriendly, and the experience was far from what I would expect from a Marriott brand.

Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel Introduce

For residents of Illinois, finding the right hotel near O'Hare International Airport is a common need, whether for an early morning flight, a business trip, or a convenient home base for visiting the city. The Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel, a Marriott-affiliated property, presents itself as a compelling option with its all-suite accommodations and strategic location. While the hotel brand is known for a certain level of sophistication and service, it is helpful for local users to have a clear understanding of what to expect, based on factual information and real guest experiences. The hotel's design and location are aimed at providing a seamless experience, particularly for those with business in the surrounding area or travelers needing easy airport access.

The Renaissance brand is generally associated with upscale, modern hotels that offer a unique blend of style and comfort. The Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel, with its focus on spacious, all-suite lodging, is designed to cater to guests who desire more room to relax or work. This is a significant advantage for families or for business travelers needing a separate area for meetings or productivity. The hotel strives to create an environment that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional, with a distinctive design that sets it apart from more conventional hotels. However, it is also essential to consider the full picture, as guest feedback suggests the experience can sometimes fall short of brand expectations. It is a hotel with a strong physical presence, a big space, and a lot of potential, but its execution of smaller details may vary.

It is important to acknowledge that reviews of the hotel offer a spectrum of opinions, highlighting both positive and negative aspects. Some guests have found the hotel to be very clean, the staff helpful and kind, and the service quick to respond to requests. These positive experiences point to a hotel that can, at its best, be a great and safe place to stay. However, other feedback raises concerns about the facilities and service standards, mentioning issues like a lack of modern amenities, a hollow atmosphere, and unfriendly staff. These contrasting viewpoints underscore the importance of managing expectations. For a local user, this hotel can be a perfectly functional and safe place to stay, but it may not always deliver the premium, brand-level experience that some might anticipate.

The water bottles in the room and extras cost money, but that's any hotel in any big city. Parking is 40$ a night, and don't get the breakfast buffet because it's 20$ for mediocre food. Other than that, this hotel is very clean, the staff is very helpful and kind, and they are super quick with any room requests or service requests. This is a great, safe place to stay.

The building is dated, but they have done great work keeping up appearances. My room was an entry-level suite, and I had plenty of room for all my gear. New TVs in the main room and the bedroom were nice for downtime. Lots of business folks stay there, so the lobby can get a bit loud in the evenings after drinks start flowing.

Parking is kind of expensive, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the layout of the entire suite suited our needs. The water pressure was phenomenal in the shower. There is a full Starbucks and restaurant inside. We'd definitely stay here again when we're in town

Decent hotel but wouldn't recommend. So many hidden fees. $100 per night security hold. Which is diabolical. Then you had to to $30 a day for parking. Key kept deactivating so I couldn't get in my room. Order room service They took forever then the food came up ice cold. Manager of restaurant wasn't pleasant about it. I would not return to this location. Also place take in mind this hotel sits off the highway and by the airport so you here everything. Bedroom shed dont really block out the sun either For as much as the room cost the service could have been extremely better . Disappointed in this hotel
