The hotel overall isn't bad...but for the price per night they could definitely afford a face-lift. Parking is sketchy lots not lit the best. I can deal with needing a spruce up....but after being here 3 days I finally went down to breakfast and was met by the rudest person ever. Rose. It was 1005 and breakfast closed at 10, however this horrid woman watched me look for plates , make a waffle as the machine was still on the batter was out, the turned into a waffle nazi! I asked gor a playe and in the snarkiest way possible she says um breakfast was over 5 minites ago! No breakfast for you!. Mind you EVERYTHING was still out!!!!! I don't understand she acted as of it was coming out if her pocket to let me grab some food before my flight. Then when I asked for her name she was upset I wanted to contact corporate??? Like you were bound to know someone eventually would with your attitude! Will never waste my money here again, I'll pay more to stay where guest actually matter and aren't made to feel an inconvenience

Residence Inn Boston Norwood/Canton Introduce

For individuals and families searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Norwood/Canton vicinity, the Residence Inn Boston Norwood/Canton offers an extended-stay accommodation option. Located at 275 Norwood Park S, Norwood, MA 02062, USA, and reachable by phone at (781) 278-9595, this Marriott property is designed for longer stays, providing apartment-style suites with home-like amenities. While recent customer reviews indicate some areas that could benefit from improvement, the hotel generally provides a functional base for those needing more than a traditional hotel room.

Environment and Location:

The Residence Inn Boston Norwood/Canton is situated within a business park setting, offering a relatively quiet environment compared to hotels directly on major thoroughfares. This location can be advantageous for guests seeking a more subdued atmosphere for their stay. The hotel was last renovated in 2013, and some guests have noted that the building and its common areas, including the parking lot, could benefit from a "face-lift" or better lighting, suggesting that the aesthetics might be a bit dated. However, the overall quietness of the location in the Norwood Park South area is generally appreciated.

Geographically, the hotel provides reasonable access to the wider Boston metropolitan area. It is approximately 14 miles from downtown Boston, offering a convenient commute for business or leisure. Key attractions like Gillette Stadium in Foxborough are about 13.5 km (approximately 12-15 minutes by car) away, making it a viable option for those attending events there. Legacy Place, a popular shopping, dining, and entertainment complex in Dedham, is also within a short driving distance. Access to Logan International Airport (BOS) is around 22 miles northeast, and Providence T.F. Green Airport (PVD) is about 27.75 miles southwest. The hotel's position within a business park makes it particularly suitable for corporate travelers or those on extended assignments in the area.

Services and Amenities:

The Residence Inn Boston Norwood/Canton offers 96 suites across four floors, designed to cater to guests on extended stays. Room types include studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom suites, many featuring a king bed with a sofa bed. A standout feature of all suites is the fully equipped kitchen, which includes a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and all necessary cookware, dishware, and utensils. This allows guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals, a significant advantage for longer visits. Some suites also come with a fireplace, adding a cozy touch.

All guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning, 27-inch flat-screen TVs with premium cable channels, and complimentary wired and wireless internet access. Premium bedding and hypo-allergenic bedding are provided for comfort. The hotel offers daily housekeeping. For convenience, guests can also request free cribs/infant beds and rollaway/extra beds.

A key service provided by Residence Inn is the complimentary hot breakfast, typically served daily from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekends. While the availability of this amenity is a plus, some recent guest feedback has highlighted issues with breakfast staff attitudes and adherence to closing times. Despite these isolated incidents, the intention is to offer a substantial breakfast to guests.

For recreation and wellness, the hotel features an indoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center equipped with various exercise machines. There is also an outdoor tennis court available for guest use. Additional amenities include a 24-hour front desk, express check-in and check-out, laundry facilities, a self-service laundry, dry cleaning service, and a safe-deposit box at the front desk. A grocery/convenience store and vending machines are also on-site. The hotel is pet-friendly, welcoming two pets up to 60 lbs per stay for an additional fee (e.g., $100-$150 per stay), and provides a grassy pet relief area on the property. Complimentary self-parking is available, though some sources indicate a daily surcharge may apply.

Features and Highlights:

The primary distinguishing feature of the Residence Inn Boston Norwood/Canton is its extended-stay concept, offering spacious suites with full kitchens. This provides a "home away from home" experience, which is particularly beneficial for guests on longer business trips, families, or those relocating. The inclusion of free breakfast and an indoor pool adds value to the stay, enhancing the overall convenience and comfort.

Guest reviews frequently mention the spaciousness and comfort of the rooms, including the functional kitchenettes. While some reviews have raised concerns about cleanliness issues (e.g., hair in showers, dead bugs, even mice sightings), it's important to note that the hotel has acknowledged and is actively working to address these concerns, including switching pest control companies and engaging maintenance and housekeeping leadership. The positive reviews often praise the comfortable beds and the convenience of the in-room amenities. The staff's helpfulness has been cited in several reviews, though inconsistencies in service, particularly regarding breakfast staff and management communication about billing or room changes, have also been noted. However, the hotel's accessibility features, including mobility and hearing accessible rooms with specific bathroom configurations, are a positive highlight, demonstrating an effort to cater to diverse needs.

Promotional Information:

As a Marriott property, the Residence Inn Boston Norwood/Canton participates in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. Marriott Bonvoy members can typically enjoy exclusive member rates, complimentary Wi-Fi, and mobile check-in. Guests are advised to book directly through Marriott's official website or app to secure the best available rates and any ongoing promotions. The hotel may offer various discounts, such as those for AAA/CAA members, senior citizens, or government/military personnel. For groups requiring multiple suites, contacting the hotel directly can facilitate special group rates. The "Home away from home" concept with full kitchens and complimentary breakfast is a core promotional aspect, emphasizing value for extended stays. The pet-friendly policy also makes it an attractive option for travelers with furry companions, a significant advantage for many. While some aspects of the property may be showing their age, the ongoing efforts for improvement and the fundamental benefits of a Residence Inn stay, including space and self-catering facilities, continue to make it a relevant option for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with an emphasis on extended-stay comfort.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, however this time will be my last. During this stay while I’m here for work, I have encountered clogged sinks & shower drains. Finding hairs that don’t belong to me in my shower & sheets. Housekeeping entering my room when I explicitly asked them not to on two occasions. Found mice scurrying about my room (which I will give props, they relocated my room) and then in the room found dead bugs along the desk. The day after I was switched rooms, management demanded payment or threatened to kick me out, although I was told previously I could pay when I checked out. The manager then told me they would be comping a night due to all my troubles. They did not. I will be checking out early and finding somewhere else to stay to end my business trip and will not be returning to this hotel.

This hotel is tucked back in a shady parking lot and gave me the creeps before we even stepped foot inside. Run down and in need of a face lift, the hallways reeked of someone frying fish. We checked in around 10pm after a long drive only to find the pull out sofa had no pillows or blankets. We called the front desk and the friendly women explained that housekeeping only works until 4pm but they would be happy to bring us some pillows tomorrow 🤪. My daughter doesn’t mind using her hoodie for a pillow, but for nearly $300/ night you might expect more. I did ask to speak to a manager, but the women explained that they do not currently have one 🤪. Judging from the reviews (that I wish we read before booking ), our experience is not unique.

Got a two bedroom suite. The only complaints I would have is that the pool is closed permanently and the fire pit conversation area is very small. The fireplace doesn’t work. The breakfast was really good. The room was clean. There are obvious signs of distress on things such as furniture and some of the walls overall not bad it was clean..

Stay here every summer for a girls weekend in one of the two-bedroom suites. Always have a great experience - staff is friendly, rooms are clean. This past summer, had an extra room and some additional requests and Raechyl at the front desk made it all happen. I kept missing the manager to get some things straightened out with my account/points and Raechyl was able to take care of everything. She made me feel valued as a rewards member and like she genuinely cared about providing the best customer service she could. The staff as a whole has always been accommodating, but she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.
