May 24, 2025 · Luis RivasAlthough a bit outdated, the rooms are nice and include a full kitchenette, dishes, garbage disposal, etc. Very clean and spacious. However, they have no dressers and very little drawer space. Why only three stars? THE AC DOESN'T WORK. It defaults back to whatever they have it set to (in our case 72⁰) I am a hot sleeper, and like it cooler. The lowest you can set it is 65⁰ which is ok, but it kept moving back to 72 and turning off. I called maintenance. The first red flag was that they were familiar with the AC and it having issues. They sent a tech who did not understand the issue, and did nothing but tell us it has to be on high the whole time. This did not work. Additionally, even though it said it was 72⁰, I think the thermostat was inaccurate, since I keep my house at 75 and the room was VERY WARM unless the AC was on. NOT IMPRESSED.
Jun 10, 2025 · Phaedra CulleyThis is a great place to stay if you're downtown for a concert or out bar hopping. The on-site bar on the 4th floor is amazing, both the food and drink. The pool is indoor, but no hot tub. There was bell service when we were there, but they had valet. Rooms are very clean, as is the entire property. Highly recommend
Mar 11, 2025 · Shawn MorelandUnfortunately I was selected for State Grand Jury Duty. I travelled from Yuma twelve times between early September and late February. Each time the state reserved accommodations for me in this hotel. It's within walking distance to the courthouse. Every time I had a different room, so I've got some good experience from my home away from home. The rooms in this hotel are very clean and the mattresses felt really comfortable, where I got a very good nights sleep before going to work at the courthouse. Now for the disappointments and minor problems that I have found, and these probably exist in all hotels, I just stayed here so often that I knew what to look for. 1. Do not get a room with 09 in the room number. 509 through 1209. They all have a pipe running through them for the AC system, and it's very noisy. 2. The continental breakfast is not very good. Had pretty much the same thing every day, and the hot food was terrible. Turkey and regular sausage patties every day. Cooked within a steamer and never completely cooked. You know those semi-raw sausage patties, they're terrible. Never had bacon. Every morning they had powdered scrambled eggs (TERRIBLE!). Bagles and english muffins were hard, but they did have a good selection of toppings for them. They did have good fruit and yogurt, but that's about it. Juice from the juice dispenser was good but the coffee wasn't. I think this is the area that needs the most improvements. 3. Small things but are my pet peeves. These are the first checks that you should make upon initial entrance in the room. Check that the Iron doesn't leak if you iron your clothes. Several times I had a leaky iron and I had to call front desk to get a new one. They are all cheap irons made in China. Make sure the ironing board works. I had to jury (LOL) rig the ironing board to iron my clothing one day. Make sure the ironing board cover doesn't have creases all over it. Had to get a replacement several times. Immediately check the showerhead. The showerheads in the lower floors were old and terrible. They seem to have been replacing the showerheads on the upper floors with new ones. Make sure the remote control works and the batteries are not dead. This is another problem that I found. Check to make sure that your coffee is well stocked, because it's actually better than the breakfast coffee. Finally, make sure that the bathroom sink isn't clogged. These are all the little things that I found at this hotel. BTW, the front desk staff is absolutely awesome. Another note is on parking. Luckily the state paid for valet parking for me because it's about $45. Good luck finding parking if you don't have valet.
