We had a fantastic experience at The River House at Odette’s in New Hope, PA. Every employee we interacted with was polite, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The building and common areas are beautifully maintained, with a great design and relaxing vibe that made the whole experience feel special. Our room was just as expected, comfortable, well-designed, and a perfect place to unwind. The only minor issue was that the shower sprayer wasn’t working, but it really didn’t impact our stay at all. For me, the highlight of the visit was definitely the restaurant. Our server was outstanding, and the bartender even crafted a couple of custom drinks we requested for us, which was a nice touch. The food was absolutely amazing, and we capped the night off with one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. The location is perfect, just a short walk to great shops in New Hope and an easy stroll to cross the bridge to New Jersey. As a added bonus they also offer a complimentary shuttle and have bikes available, though we didn’t take advantage of those this time. All in all, The River House at Odette’s is a fantastic place to visit, stay, and dine. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with great food and service.

Lovely setting, with some alluring views. Nicely appointed rooms and interior design. But overall, my take away was this hotel is over-rated and over-priced. Food was unremarkable, and wildly overpriced for the inconsistent service and quality of the meals. Eggs overcooked at breakfast, food arrived over an hour late for a private party, and just terrible customer service at the management level. Perhaps most importantly, when you are billing yourself as a luxury hotel, having rooms that don’t vibrate with the wedding music below and don’t smell like fried food from the kitchen below should be a basic thing to get right. When you get that wrong, offering an apologetic tone and a meaningful compromise should be easy. Unfortunately, the River House didn’t get either of these right and seemed surprised at our complaint - as if no one had ever had such an unfortunate experience (read the reviews, wish we had). They offered a slight discount on our room rate but were far from friendly. Had we not been participating in a friend’s 50th party we would have left rather than stayed the night. Would not return, would not recommend.

As a vendor ( I do makeup and hair), I have been to many places, and this one is so far my favorite to work in. The rooms are styled beautiful , parking is easy , so much light and beautiful views. Of course, the famous tulip wall paper and all the art in the rooms and outside. I never had a bride who was disappointed with this place. And I think it's a great and beautiful overall.

My husband and I got married at River House. While parts of the day were beautiful, the night ended with us feeling heartbroken. We were given 20 rooftop tickets and brought our group up at 11 p.m., only to be turned away because it had supposedly closed at 10:50. No one ever communicated a time cutoff to us. A week later, we were given a completely different excuse—that one of our guests was intoxicated. That guest had actually left by 9 p.m. and wasn’t even part of the rooftop group. It felt like a dishonest excuse to avoid responsibility. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of accountability. We had to follow up with them—they never reached out to us after such a disappointing end to our wedding night. The director of sales admitted to receiving an email the night of our wedding about the issue, yet still never contacted us. When we finally spoke, she didn’t offer an apology or acknowledge our frustration. Instead, she made assumptions and pointed fingers—even though she wasn’t present that night and never once asked for our side of the story. To be fair, most of the staff working the wedding itself were wonderful. But the bartender at the rooftop bar lacked any sense of customer service and was outright rude during what was supposed to be a celebratory moment for us. Unfortunately, the red flags started long before our wedding day. One of our guests’ hotel rooms had no working air conditioning all night—no apology or accommodation was ever offered. We also experienced multiple coordinator changes, inconsistent communication, and a general feeling that we weren’t treated as a priority—likely because we didn’t have one of their high-end weddings. With so many changes between coordinators, details were dropped along the way. One of the hors d’oeuvres we had carefully selected was completely missed the day of. Yet another letdown in a series of oversights. Even our tasting experience fell short. We didn’t know we were allowed to bring family or guests with us, so we went alone. When we arrived, the room was full of families enjoying the experience together—something we would have loved to do, if only someone had told us it was an option. Yet another special moment we missed out on. What hurt most was the feeling that our group was judged and treated differently because of the diversity of our guests. We didn’t fit the mold of their typical clientele, and it showed. That kind of subtle bias has no place in the wedding industry. What should have been a joyful and unforgettable night has been tainted. I hope no other couple has to go through what we did.

My wife and I planned a one-night getaway at The River House, and it was absolutely perfect. We booked the Romance Package, which included beautiful roses on the bed and a box of delicious local chocolates—such a thoughtful touch! Our room was stunning, with modern amenities and an incredible view overlooking the river. One of the highlights was the rooftop restaurant, where we enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak and top-notch cocktails. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, and the staff was incredibly professional and attentive. The valet service was seamless, taking care of parking our Tesla and even charging it overnight. The attention to detail throughout our stay was impeccable. From the modern bathroom to the overall ambiance, everything exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway, The River House is a must-visit. We can't wait to return!
