I will still give them 5 stars. I came to the USA with my family with three children and we had no money at all, only $400. We arrived at this hotel from Newark airport at night at about 2 AM, we had not slept for two days, I knocked on the door and the guy who opened the door said that there was no check-in at night and we had to wait until 11 AM. Then I asked to let us in and he did. We slept in the lobby on the couch and it was very good. Then at 11 AM we rented a room and had a good rest. There is a strange area there and it looks dangerous, but we walked there and had no problems. I just want to say thank you, it was the first place in the USA that took us in and it helped us.

All I know is they're housing transient people who need all the help they can get. Wish they got everything they needed to provide the best care, but the best care isn't a real thing. It was something I imagined. At least they have a place to be. Sometimes, that alone has to be enough.

My agent booked me this hotel a year ago after I told them to find the cheapest one. I will live to regret it for the rest of my life. I was completely horrified by what I saw when I arrived at this hotel. It looked more like a run down apartment building with people that looked like they were on drugs or just looked extremely shady, and the environment was just overly bad. The other hotels were booked for at least a couple more hours so we were forced to sleep in this dump. The bathrooms were horrific. We couldn’t wait to leave early the next day when a much better hotel told us they had an opening. I hear the building is now a homeless shelter. Good call, because that dump is NOT a hotel and should NEVER be called that. Never again 😡

This was the worst hotel experience so far in States. I should had relied on the google reviews, don’t know why I just checked the entrance and other photos on google. The building itself gives a negative vibe’s, and as mentioned by other sufferers - reception is just UGLY. I regret the night for making such a huge mistake for selecting this property for a night stay. I seriously looked for other nearby hotels option after the check in at late evening. The washroom have good quantity of cockroaches and the sound of flush was horrible. Lamp on the side table doesn’t work. I was lucky to get parking on the road side of hotel and didn’t paid any extra penny for their parking lot. The complete hotel smells like hell, even the lifts and lobby. This hotels seriously needs a good renovation and good staff with better services.

I ended up booking this place without checking the reviews and just looked at the grand gate/entrance photo on Google maps. This place is very old from inside. There is no air-conditioning here so you'll have to keep the windows open which will make it very noisy with the traffic and loud neighborhood even late into the night. So you better have ear plugs. We got a room on 6 floor. The bed was nicely covered with clean white sheets and pillows no different than any other hotel. Floors creak but that was ok. You'll hear sounds of faucet or flush or stomping/walking from other rooms. Rooms did not smell of smoke, were clean. The hotel locks doors at night and have security guard present at all times. Parking is available but paid. You can also park free overnight on the streets. Our room blinds didn't fully cover the entire vertical length of the windows. The lamp on the side table didn't work but the room light was bright enough. Overall, ok enough for a quick/short night stay.
