The staff at this hotel were excellent. Kind and attentive. The location was good and the hotel was clean. However, the stay was overall not enjoyable. The fact that you cannot control the temperature of the room yourself is frustrating and made the room hard to bear. The beds felt very hard, cheap, and uncomfortable. The door to the bathroom could barely be closed it was so heavy and hard to move (not to mention made a lot of noise). The toilet flapper was disconnecting so often we left the toilet cover off for ease of fixing it. I stay in a lot of hotels (and nice ones) and for the price paid, I was not pleased with the experience.

Apr 16, 2025 · Nikke JonesGreat location for visiting the area/student. Easily walkable to campus, restaurants and shops. The staff is excellent and helpful. The hotel itself is mediocre. Very old building with old infrastructure. Shower pressure is terrible. You can’t control the temp in the living room of the suite, only the bedroom. (They can do it at the desk for you if you call/text). Bar is comfortable but has “local” only spirits, etc. Food is not great, to say it nicely. I think this branded as a “Tapestry” is quite a stretch.
Mar 18, 2025 · Kim DukartFound bed bug bites 1 day after leaving. Very serious bites lasting 2 weeks. Called health dept. Called hotel. Nobody cared or called back. Room was very loud due to outdoor activity until 3 am. On Thursday. Do not recommend.
Apr 24, 2025 · Fisherof DreamsNice hotel located at an ideal location in State College, easily walkable to the Penn State campus and all of the restaurants and shops you need to have a great PSU experience. Friendly and accommodating staff, clean and modern rooms especially compared to other downtown hotels. Also one of the more quiet hotels downtown as well.
Apr 29, 2025 · Scott HardingCannot control the temperature of the rooms without having to call the front desk. Last 2 times rooms were booked I had to switch rooms due to a “heating malfunction” plus the rooms are more than dirty… could take your finger swipe it across the tops of the fridges or under the sofas and it would come off black…it’s just plain disgusting. The so called “management” is a joke. Staff will snap at you if you ask them for more bath amenities. The cocktail bar is a sticky unprofessional hole in the wall. The hole business needs visited by the health department…
