Apr 27, 2025 · Greg ScheunemanWe needed a hotel to stay at on our way to get warranty work done on my fiances landscaping trailer. We found this hotel 15 minutes away. There was a work crew staying there, a few box trucks, and numerous personal vehicles. The hotel was very quiet though, unlike many other's I've experienced. The lobby was very clean and the employee was attentive and kind. Our room however, was quite the opposite. There were burn marks all over the carpet by the bathroom, there were paper crumbs on the floor... Making it apparent that the carpet was not swept. There were multiple stains on the bedding and chair. There were cobwebs and dust on the window, like it has never been cleaned. The shower was dark, and had a former tenants hair still on the wall. Also, the pillows in this room were small squares, like the decorative ones on a couch... I took photos of everything when we arrived, but it was too late to find a different hotel. On the bright side, I didn't visibly see any bugs or anything... I still took all the precautions once we arrived back home though. We did not partake in the free continental breakfast. We figured if our room was this gross, we couldn't imagine what their kitchen was like.

Nov 10, 2024 · Rosa HoustonSummary: you get what you pay for. Easy to find, and near food places. Quiet area of town. Friendly staff. That’s where it ends. Rooms? The beds were fine and comfortable… but the choice in square pillows was “interesting.” Burn marks on the carpet — which looks like it has been in use since the Reagan administration — adorned the rooms floor, stained bedding on both beds — not even going to imagine what the stains were about, the chair looks like it’s been rubbing on the same table for longer than anyone would care to admit and when used the gas shock had no life left and immediately went all the way down, trim on the table and other fixtures falling apart, shower has a lot of makeshift modifications that look like they’ve been the standard for a while, especially since the door is ill fitting with those modifications, was installed upside down (all the writing for manufacturing was upside down), and the gap-a-saurus Rex at the bottom let water escape onto the bathroom floor. The door to the bathroom was a sliding door with what seemed like place for a lock, but that was long gone. The room felt clean enough, though, so after inspecting the bedding for hitchhikers we settled down for sleep. Though the night we were welcomed by the sounds of barking dogs, loud people on the hallway, someone having some sort of dispute with whomever they were with, and more barking dogs. I eventually passed out and just picked back up with the barking dogs in the morning and people just overall talking in the hallway very loudly. Seems like insulation is minimal in these rooms. The “breakfast” is… odd and can only be described as “watered down unless sealed.” Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches in the cooler? Interesting choice. Kids said both juice options were watered down and so was the pancake batter I attempted to make. The fruits and anything that was sealed was fine, but there was no “cooked food” like at other locations managed by Choice Hotels. I threw the watered down stuff out and went next door to Wendy’s and left. I won’t be staying here again unless I’m strapped for cash. Again, you get what you pay for.
