We reserved and prepaid for two nights here, as did another couple we were traveling with. We got to our rooms around 7:00 in the evening. We immediately noticed that we had only one towel. (This is a clear theme in the reviews that I hope you read closely before reserving your room!) I went to the front desk and was told they weren’t sure if they had anymore towels. I then got what I was told was the last towel. The next day, the other couple told us they asked later and were given two hand towels. As we got in bed, we noticed hairs and spots in the sheets. Having had a long day, we decided to let it go. The bed itself had an old style mattress with a thin top and lots of springs. As we tried to sleep, we had a lot of noise from a room above us. We also had a very noisy AC unit that turned off and on all night but barely cooled the room. The price and location are good. If you want a clean room, a good night sleep, and towels for two or more, look elsewhere.

While it's important to manage expectations based on some customer feedback, its fundamental advantages make it a suitable choice for various local needs.
The proximity to the Shady Grove Metro Station, coupled with the convenient shuttle service, is a major benefit. Jun 18, 2025 · Jeffrey HydeSTAY AWAY!!!! Please read reviews before booking. We read some reviews and thought this place would be okay, mostly for the location. The staff were friendly enough, not great, but not terrible. There was only ONE towel in the room. We had to ask for more and they gave us hand towels. They claimed to have no more towels available. The one towel that was in the room was dirty and the bed sheets were also dirty. We had booked 2 nights and only stayed one. The AC was noisy and didn’t cool the room. They would not refund our money, but we didn’t care. We did not want to spend another night in this dump. This is truly one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had, and we travel a lot. Please save yourself time and money and go someplace else.
Jun 14, 2025 · AmyNice @ $84 a night ..... More, idk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The back door is broken and does not lock at night. The toilet handle had to be jiggled to turn off.
May 21, 2025 · Louis LaBargeBook for 4 people. Only got towel for one. Went to the front desk to ask, they said they don’t have more towels. Mind you it’s the manager of the hotel telling me that. They told me to come tomorrow at 10am. Zero empathy, stay away.
Apr 04, 2025 · Hafid MohadiMy wife booked this hotel for me for two nights without doing any research. I was a little worried to see so many negative reviews but we had already paid in advance so I went through with it. Here's my take on what others have said 1) No greetings at the front desk. True. (but I personally don't care about that kind of stuff) 2) Only one towel in the room. True. (it's a mild inconvenience, but I walked to the front desk and asked for more). 3) Dirty sheets and room. Not true in my case. The bed was made fine. 4) Breakfast: Fine. I wish they had healthier cereal and oatmeal, but overall it was okay. 5) Critters in the room: part 1. probably true. When I walked into the room, it was unsettling to see the various mousetraps set in the room (see pictures). But on the positive side, the mousetraps were set well (reliable brand, peanut butter as bait, set in tight spaces). I could sleep well knowing that if any mice attacked at night they would be taken care of () 6) Critters in the room: part 2. True. I slept in the room fine. Woke up in the morning and went out for a few hours. I came back to the room, and found these black droppings on the bedsheet (below the pillow). It was definitely not there earlier (I was afraid of bedbugs and did a thorough check - and didn't find any evidence). But these tiny black "droppings" were still concerning. I am not an expert in pest poop, but based on my google research it wasn't bed bugs (apparently those are semi liquid and stain the sheets), or mice (those are apparently slightly bigger). It was probably the size and consistency of cockroach poop. Anyway, I went to another hotel for my second night. Didn't even bother asking for a refund.
