My husband and I have decided to move to Pigeon Forge since I just graduated from college. We had been searching for s/ome place to stay that we both liked. We stayed at places with jet tubs.... fireplaces....but we both very much enjoy this place as much as those places because It is so quiet here. Nobody bothers us! And we love that. Bc we really like our time together when we are home. Plus, even tho this is an older place, it has been remodeled and it is very clean. And most of all it's a place where we could feel at home! The ice maker and the washer and dryer are both out of order is the only negative things I can say about the place. But now that they have added water to the swimming pool. It is so beautiful! The view of WonderWorks across the street is priceless!
For many Tennesseans, Pigeon Forge is a beloved getaway, a place to soak in the mountain air, enjoy fantastic shows, and create lasting family memories. When planning such a trip, finding a hotel that offers a balance of affordability and a great location is often a key consideration. The Smoky View Inn, situated right on the famous Pigeon Forge Parkway, positions itself as a budget-friendly option for travelers who prioritize convenience and a no-frills approach to their stay. While it may not boast luxurious amenities, it aims to provide a clean and comfortable bed for those who spend most of their time exploring the vibrant attractions of the area.
Guest experiences at the Smoky View Inn tend to be varied, highlighting both its strengths and areas where it might fall short for some. Many guests appreciate the hotel's quiet atmosphere, even despite its prime location. One reviewer planning a move to Pigeon Forge loved that "It is so quiet here. Nobody bothers us! And we love that. Bc we really like our time together when we are home." This sense of peacefulness, combined with comfortable beds and cold AC, contributes to a restful night's sleep for many. Furthermore, despite being an "older place," some visitors note that it "has been remodeled and it is very clean," fostering a feeling of being "at home." The view of WonderWorks across the street is also highlighted as a "priceless" perk.
However, it's important for prospective guests to note that some reviews point to significant challenges. Issues with mold in bathrooms, the presence of insects, and a lack of certain amenities like a consistently working ice maker or laundry facilities have been reported. There are also mentions of adjoining rooms being assigned without request and some concerns about the cleanliness of the pool water at times. While the hotel aims to be a budget-friendly option, with rates around "$50 a night," these issues underscore the importance of setting clear expectations for what this price point offers. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel's core appeal for budget-conscious travelers remains its unbeatable location and the promise of a quiet night's sleep amidst the Pigeon Forge hustle.

May 01, 2025 · Bestie Of GraceStayed for 1 night. Won’t be returning. Location is actually not bad. Puts you close to a number of grocery stores, attractions, and food locations. Service was decent I guess , booked fairly quick. Had an adjoining room with a random family which was odd, I asked to be moved to a room that wasn’t adjoining and was refused. Beds are comfortable and the AC was cold. Now for the bad bad. This motel is covered in mold on the caulking in the bathroom, there are roaches (dead and alive) running around the rooms. Unfortunately we brought them back home in our luggage due to this motel and had to deep clean the car AND remove everything outside and pick through clothes and other belongings one by one then straight to the washer. For $50 a night it’s still not worth bringing bugs home with you. You get what you pay for.
Apr 06, 2025 · Breakout PhotographyIt was filthy and there were roaches. My kids socks were black and covered in dirt within 5 minutes of arriving. It looked like the floor had never been clean in it's whole existence. I took a tissue across the floor and it came up black. There was hair and dirt on the sheets. Roaches in the room, caught one in a cup and took it to the office and told them how dirty it was also. They said they've never gotten a bad report or complaint before, never heard any mention of bugs, etc. Google reviews was full of mentions of roaches and dirty rooms so it was a straight up lie they knew they were telling. They said they'd have the manager contact me in the morning. That never happened. Do not stay here do not waste your money on this disgusting filthy bug infested place.
Mar 15, 2025 · Ashley MaanShady, run-down place. Smokers and drunkards roam about outside. Weed smell galore - but outside, not in the rooms. Cockroaches abound in rooms. One bed sheet had dirt and hair. Other fortunately was less dirty enough for us to sleep gingerly. Surprisingly quiet though. Location seemed unsafe but ended up being safe. Free breakfast ! Front desk staff is nice and friendly. Cheap/value for money.
Jan 08, 2025 · Ayan BiswasVery rude employees. Disrespectful. Leave dirty rooms, bugs and runes other people trash from previous stays in the room. Horrible experience. Couldn't imagine how it could be a worse experience okay thanks I have pictures of 3-in bugs that are still alive in the room. I quit counting after five bugs nothing about this experience was even remotely decent or good it's a very unhealthy business they are running
