My children and I stayed 2 nights just the other day everything was ok except for the fact the room 120 had a pet urine smell we just couldn’t get past and the pots in the room were not clean at all. The staff was perfect especially the young lady with the ponytail at the desk. In the end we opted to check in elsewhere for the remainder of the time we had left.

However, an objective introduction must also address guest feedback, which provides valuable insights into the actual experience. Some guests have reported issues with the hotel's cleanliness and maintenance. Specific complaints include pet urine smells in rooms, uncleaned pots in the kitchenettes, dead bugs in stairwells, and the presence of bugs in bathrooms.
More critically, some reviews highlight significant concerns regarding safety and staff responsiveness, particularly in dealing with disturbances. There have been reports of strong odors, specifically of marijuana smoke, in hallways and even individuals smoking openly outside guest windows. Guests have expressed deep disappointment with the hotel's handling of these situations, citing rude and inconsiderate staff, a lack of urgency, and an unwillingness to take action, especially when it involves children. These experiences raise concerns about the hotel's ability to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all guests, particularly families. Issues with obtaining refunds or effective resolutions when problems arise have also been a point of dissatisfaction for some customers, including long-standing loyalty program members.
These detailed accounts suggest that while the hotel offers desirable amenities for extended stays, there are significant inconsistencies in cleanliness and service that potential guests should be aware of.
The hotel's value proposition within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category is its combination of spacious suites with full kitchens, complimentary breakfast, and a pet-friendly policy, catering to a diverse range of travel needs. However, prospective guests should carefully consider the mixed reviews regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and especially staff responsiveness to disturbances, to determine if the hotel aligns with their expectations for a safe and comfortable stay. It is always advisable to check the latest reviews and contact the hotel directly with any specific concerns before booking.

May 09, 2025 · Kat WebbI cannot express how deeply disappointed and disgusted I am by my recent stay at Sonesta ES Suites Atlanta Kennesaw Town Center. It was an absolute nightmare — especially for a parent with a young child. When we checked into our room, we were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of weed in the hallway — an incredibly strong, pungent odor that was completely unacceptable, especially in a hotel meant for families. Later I called the front desk to report it, concerned not just for comfort, but for my two-year-old daughter’s safety while she slept. The only solution offered? Move rooms. That’s it. No apology, no urgency, just a dismissive “we can move your room.” I explained that this wasn’t just about inconvenience — it was about my child breathing in potentially harmful smoke. The front desk staff was shockingly rude and inconsiderate. No concern, no compassion. Just cold indifference. Even worse, someone was openly smoking a bowl right outside our window. I asked the front desk to do something about it, and I was told she “had to handle other guests first.” Are you kidding me? I had to confront this man myself because the staff refused to take action and the police wouldn’t arrive in time. I shouldn’t have to protect my child from drug use on hotel property because the staff won’t. When I pressed the issue again, I was actually told to wake up my sleeping two-year-old and move her — just so the front desk could avoid dealing with the situation. Absolutely unbelievable. This hotel is not safe. It is not family-friendly. And it is clear they have no interest in guest well-being, especially when it involves children. I urge anyone considering this hotel — especially families — to stay away. There are better, safer, and more professional places to stay in the area. Support this review. Speak out. No family should have to go through this.
May 21, 2025 · Alexandra LDuring our vacation, my family and I visited this establishment, and while our stay was generally pleasant, particularly considering the value for money, there were a few minor inconveniences that we encountered. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, accommodating our family comfortably. However, the suite had an issue where the rooms were not ready upon our arrival. While we may have arrived slightly early, we did overlook this inconvenience as it was not the hotel’s fault. Another issue we encountered was the design of the hotel lobby and dining area. The two buildings were physically separated, requiring guests to exit the lobby and enter the next building to access the rooms. This unexpected layout caused confusion among some guests, including ourselves. Upon checking into our room, we discovered that it had been occupied by previous guests and had left behind trash. While we understood that this could have been an oversight, it was still a minor inconvenience. Another notable issue was the absence of bottled water in the rooms. This was the first hotel I had visited that did not provide bottled water, which was surprising. Furthermore, after two days of staying at the hotel, room service repeatedly passed our rooms without making any attempts to contact us. This caused confusion and disappointment, as we had not requested any room service or amenities. It turned out that room service could only be requested from the front desk, and there was a possibility of waiting until the next day depending on the time of day. While these minor inconveniences may not have significantly impacted our overall experience, it is important to acknowledge and address them. All in all our stay was good. They do provide complementary breakfast from 6 am to around 9 a.m. and to be honest the breakfast was very good 👍🏾. The hotel overall is very cozy and clean and the staff is pleasant as well.
Dec 23, 2024 · RakeshOne of the worst hotels I have been in and I have been in a lot. The bathroom is ridiculously tight and poorly laid out. Can’t get to the lobby and dining from outer buildings without going outside. It rained the whole time we were there and my wife is in a wheelchair. Who designs a hotel like that? Only soap is hanging on the wall in shower as far away from the door you can get. No hand lotion provided. Went to the lobby to get some coffee and there was none. Wanted to charge a coke to my room but they said can’t do that at this hotel. Cash or card only and I did t have my wallet. What hotel does not let you charge things to your room? We got down the breakfast the first morning and all the fruit was gone. Why not enough for everyone? Absolutely the worst hotels I have I have ever been in
May 10, 2025 · Chip CogswellThe absolute best hotel my family has had the privilege to stay the weekend in. There was enough space/ rooms for privacy and not be feel on top of each other. Plus a real kitchen and fireplace and 3 tvs.... Sonesta is the best bang for you bucks.
