Rooms look nice, but if you are a side-sleeper, the beds could leave you with back pain, like they did each night for my wife and I. The sofa in our room was so uncomfortable, we had to bring pillows from the bed to sit there for any duration...back top edge of sofa is 1/4" foam rubber in front of 2x6....you only feel lumber for your shoulder blades. Bottom cushion so firm, you get's sore. our bathroom door had a 1/4" straight view gap between the door and frame. Water tastes awful. Buy at the store all the water you plan to drink there. TV are at LEAST 15 years old. Could be 20. Old RCA jacks in the back, small, low resolution. Better off watching something on your laptop up close than a small TV far away. Two other chairs in our room were comfortable. Nice kitchen. Appliances all worked. Good breakfast in the morning. Would have been perfect if they just had a little more fruit than simply banana. Pool is nice, though lacking in shade unlike their other location nearby that has a more resort feel. Hot tub only had 1 jet that worked properly. All the rest just shot bubbly water straight up into your head. First floor rooms hear all the footsteps above you. We had a family with little kids above that seemed to be playing chase around the whole room a lot of the time. Sound like wood construction. Avoid room 312 if you like to nap in the afternoon. Cleaners open and close and open and close doors right outside your door constantly. Interrupted my sleep each day. For an extended stay, the beds, TV and sofa should be a priority as people staying longer should want to be comfortable while there.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
For Arizonans, the Sonesta ES Suites Scottsdale Paradise Valley presents a highly suitable and practical option for a range of extended stay needs, making it much more than just a conventional hotel. Its core appeal for locals lies in its design as an "apartment-style" living space, offering features that are invaluable for transitional periods or longer visits right here in their own state. Imagine needing a comfortable base during a home renovation, a temporary relocation for work, or simply a prolonged visit to family without imposing. This hotel perfectly caters to those scenarios.
The fully equipped kitchens in every suite are a standout feature, allowing guests to prepare their own meals, which can lead to significant cost savings compared to dining out for every meal. This is a huge benefit for families or anyone on a budget during an extended stay. The on-site laundry facilities further enhance the convenience of a long-term visit, eliminating the need to search for laundromats. Furthermore, the hotel’s pet-friendly policy ensures that beloved furry family members can join, which is a major consideration for many Arizonans.
While some guest feedback mentions older TVs or potential noise from upper floors due to construction style, the consistent praise for the suites' cleanliness, the "good breakfast" (especially for a complimentary offering), and the welcoming "warm" staff like Kelsey at the front desk, all contribute to a comfortable and positive experience. The prime Scottsdale location provides easy access to local amenities, shopping, golf, and dining, allowing locals to maintain their routines and enjoy their surroundings. For Arizonans seeking a clean, quiet, and value-driven solution for any extended accommodation requirement, Sonesta ES Suites Scottsdale Paradise Valley offers a reliable and well-equipped home away from home.

Mar 22, 2025 · Greg GriffinKelsey made a fantastic first impression with her warm welcome at the front desk. My suite was spotless, very comfortable, and quiet. Ample free parking was a perk too. The location is great, and the complimentary breakfast was solid for a free offering. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a clean, quiet option in Scottsdale.
May 08, 2025 · H DanielI really enjoyed my stay here. As a solo traveler, having a kitchen in the room while being right next to a Trader Joe’s was awesome. The hot tub and pool area were kept clean, and the fitness area, while small, was just what I needed. The free breakfast every morning was great too. For the price, this place is a 5/5. Room was super clean as well, and it was quiet at night.

Jun 21, 2025 · Tomysha ClarkMy boyfriend and I stayed here to celebrate our 4th anniversary getaway, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we checked in on April 4th around 2 PM, the front desk agent made us feel so welcomed. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and professional — it was such a warm first impression and truly set the tone for our entire stay. The room was spotless and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. You can tell the housekeeping team really takes pride in keeping everything clean and comfortable. We also want to give a special shoutout to the host working in the breakfast area. She was so sweet and attentive, always making sure everything was clean and stocked, and was more than willing to help out with anything we needed. This was genuinely one of the best trips we've ever taken. The staff made it extra special, and we’re so grateful for the hospitality. Thank you for making our anniversary stay unforgettable!
