I stayed at the SpringHill Suites Atlanta Alpharetta a few months ago and unfortunately I did not have a good experience here. The receptionist at check-in was rude and did not have her act together. I requested a room on the second or third floor and the receptionist was unprofessional and mentioned she had to ask housekeeping, but the customer service was disappointing. The room was dirty and outdated, and the doors, paint, and carpet were all unattractive and outdated. The pool was seasonal since it was outdoor so it was closed but it looked pretty good. Fitness center was satisfactory. The breakfast was mediocre, but had limited options available and they were out of several items, way before closing time. The one positive aspect of this hotel was that it was in a good location and the rates were good, but you get what you pay for in terms of low quality. Overall, I was highly disappointed with the unprofessional and rude customer service from the receptionist, the outdated and dirty rooms, and the limited options at the breakfast. I would not stay at this hotel again, and this hotel is not up to Marriott standards as a Gold Elite Marriott Bonvoy member.

Customer Reviews and Feedback

Customer experiences at SpringHill Suites Atlanta Alpharetta offer a mixed but informative picture for prospective guests.

  • Positive Feedback: Many guests consistently praise the hotel's excellent location, noting its convenience for accessing restaurants, shops, and attractions like the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. The spaciousness and comfort of the rooms are frequently highlighted, with some guests appreciating the "largest closet" they've experienced in a hotel. The overall cleanliness of the rooms and common areas, as well as comfortable beds, are often mentioned. Numerous reviews commend the staff for being friendly, helpful, and accommodating, with some specifically mentioning "amazing" interactions and feeling like a "priority." The complimentary breakfast often receives positive comments for its selection and quality, despite some noted limitations. Free parking is also a well-received amenity.
  • Areas for Improvement: Despite the positive aspects, several reviews point to areas requiring attention. Some guests have reported issues with room condition, describing them as "dirty and outdated," with "unattractive and outdated" doors, paint, and carpet, suggesting a need for property refurbishment. Instances of unprofessional or rude behavior from certain front desk staff have been noted, significantly detracting from the guest experience. While breakfast is generally liked, specific complaints include limited options or items running out before closing. A recurring concern highlighted by guests is the choice of television programming in public areas, specifically the breakfast area. Some guests found the broadcasting of a politically charged news channel (Fox News) to be inappropriate and offensive, leading to discomfort and a feeling of not being welcomed or considered by the hotel, emphasizing a need for more neutral content in public spaces. This can be a significant point of contention for a hotel aiming to serve "people of all types." A state recovery fee of USD 5.00 is not included in the price. Pets are not allowed, with the exception of service animals.

In conclusion, SpringHill Suites Atlanta Alpharetta offers a compelling package for travelers seeking spacious, amenity-rich accommodations in a convenient Alpharetta location. While the positive aspects of room comfort, location, and often friendly staff are strong draws, potential guests should be aware of past concerns regarding room upkeep and consistency in staff professionalism, as well as the feedback regarding public area television programming. As a Marriott property, guests can generally expect a certain standard, but individual experiences may vary.

My family stayed there for a wedding weekend. Every single employee that I interacted with was amazing! They were friendly, helpful, and made me feel like I was a priority. The room was wonderful, with the largest closet I have ever had at a hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast both mornings. I thought that the selection was very good. My only complaint, and the reason that I gave a 4 instead of a 5, was because the TV in the breakfast area was tuned to Fox News. A hotel serves people of all types, yet they chose a TV station that emphasizes only one point of view. Something more neutral, a show that would not be considered offensive to some people, would have been much more appropriate. A hotel's political preferences should not be obvious to guests. Guests of all beliefs should feel comfortable and welcomed during their stay. Their TV in a public area broadcasting comments that some people found offensive was unacceptable.

Guess i should have read some reviews and looked at visitor pictures. Rookie mistake here. We have stayed at all sorts of springhills across the country and always have had great rooms until this trip. This was possibly the worst one we stayed at. The hotel is old and dingy. The rooms are small. My boss had a silverfish in the bathroom and another bug he found the next day. There is no thermostat at least in my room so i had to deal with the window unit basically only controlling the tiny space by the window. The TV had 2 darn remotes. The tv brand one for power on and off and volume and the hotel remote to change channels and stuff which i had to maah on the buttons to work. The bed was very uncomfortable as well. The shower doesnt have a door so the eater sprays on the wall and floor. The shower corners had black mold which was awesome. For breakfast they had the normal springhill stuff. But they didnt put out any cream cheese for bagels, i had to ask. And at some point they decided that chobani yogurt was too expensive and replaced it with walmart great value brand. The only two positives i can say are the service was good, they were friendly and the shower pressure was amazing! Felt like you were under a darn waterfall. That being said, never staying here again for future trips.

Toilet overflowed and told us to clean it up ourselves with towels that they gave us. Bathtub leaking, pull out bed felt like sleeping on rocks. Smelled like weed in our room. Hotel extremely understaffed. Told to use the downstairs bathroom instead of changing our room. They closed the breakfast at 9:30 when they specifically stated that they would clean the breakfast up at 10:00. They also told us not to use our trash can and gave us a bag to throw everything away in. When we were in the lobby. This deserves the one star and I do not recommend.

One of the worst Marriotts we have stayed in, and we prefer this chain. Place is filthy, room air conditioning is barely functioning and room is hot. Bathroom walls are corroding. The hotel needs a complete renovation.
