I had checked in online and gotten my key card online. That allowed me to skip checking in at the front desk. I walked inside went to my room, got in just fine. Room was large, clean and nice. 15 minutes into me arriving I was laying in bed watching tv after unpacking another guest was able to unlock my door and walk right in. The front desk gave her physical keys to my room. I called the front desk to ask why someone had access to my room and they let me know they need my room. So I explained I have made myself comfortable, already unpacked. They still made me vacate the room even though it was mine. They then put me into a smaller, dirtier room. The staff had said I’m so sorry, and I’m sorry it’s a smaller room. They offered me a soda and snack for the inconvenience… I think at that point I should have gotten a room upgrade given that I had to vacate MY already booked room. The original room did not have neighbors and this one did. The neighbors were noisy, the floor has a red substance on it (don’t even want to know), and the bathroom floor was gross. I asked the staff how do I know no one else will enter my room and he let me know it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. I get that, things happen but nothing about this experience is making me feel welcome, safe, or a valued guest. I work in the service industry and this is a wonderful example of how to NOT treat guests. I am part of a large organization that sends our workers to training quite often and they have used your hotel in the past. I will ensure that happens no longer. Also the checkout process I was not greeted with a smile or any sort of happiness. I felt like I was ordering at McDonald’s. I really don’t suggest this place. Location was ideal to be around a lot of places but that’s about it.

The hotel offers digital key access for Hilton Honors members, allowing for a streamlined check-in process and direct room access, bypassing the front desk. While this feature is designed for convenience, it has, on rare occasions, led to issues such as incorrect room assignments, as reported by a customer review where a guest was given access to an already occupied room. This highlights the importance of double-checking room details and being vigilant during the check-in process, even with digital options.
Connecting rooms are available for families or larger groups, and wheelchair-accessible parking and rooms are provided, demonstrating an effort to cater to diverse needs.
Guests can often find promotional offers directly through the Hilton website or other booking platforms. These may include special rates for Hilton Honors members, package deals that include breakfast, or discounts for extended stays. It is always advisable to check for current promotions when planning a visit.
However, it is important for prospective guests to be aware of some feedback regarding the hotel's service and conditions. While many reviews praise the friendly staff and cleanliness, some experiences indicate inconsistencies. A notable review detailed a situation where a guest's pre-booked and occupied room was erroneously assigned to another guest, leading to an inconvenient room change to a smaller, less clean room. This specific incident raised concerns about guest safety, feeling valued, and adherence to Hilton standards. Other guests have reported issues such as requests for extra pillows going unfulfilled and an uninviting checkout experience. Additionally, an instance of an unmarked "employee" aggressively approaching guests in the parking lot has been cited as unprofessional and potentially concerning for safety.
While the hotel strives to provide a positive experience, these isolated incidents suggest that prospective guests should consider reading recent reviews thoroughly to set appropriate expectations. The hotel's management acknowledges feedback and aims to address any shortcomings to ensure a better experience for future guests.
In summary, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta - Alpharetta offers a well-located, amenity-rich option for those searching on "Hotels Near Of Me" platforms. It provides comfortable accommodations, dining options, and business facilities in a prime Alpharetta location. While generally well-regarded, being mindful of individual guest experiences as detailed in recent reviews can help ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.

May 17, 2025 · Sydney KopserWas aggressively approached in parking lot before I was even out of my bus by "employee" wearing no uniform or ID, demanding to know if I was a registered guest. ( Fine if you need to know but handle it in a more professional manner and appearance.) Requested lowest possible floor in advance. They still put me on an upper floor. They did offer to move me but only after I had unpacked and wasn't I moving. Requested extra pillows, still waiting on those. Parking lot is very dark. Several lights not working. Not the safest looking environment. In my opinion, definitely falls well short of the HILTON standard. Would NOT recommend staying here.
May 13, 2025 · Rick UnderwoodI stayed here for two weeks for a program and had an excellent experience, thanks to Trejon! He went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, always being kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I can be particular about my room, and he took the time to make sure every detail met my needs. His exceptional service truly made my stay enjoyable.
Mar 19, 2025 · 4 Elements Fine ArtI want to thank the hotel staff, especially Dianne from the day shift and Trejon from the night shift. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist made my stay memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay and clean!
Apr 04, 2025 · John Dinh (JD)I came here to stay with some friends for my birthday. It was meant to be a 2 night stay. I was told that the beds I chose were big enough to sleep 4 people. Upon arrival, I was met with beds entirely too small for my additional guests. I proceeded to bring this up before grabbing dinner and the first gentleman I spoke to did nothing about it. So my friends and I went to do our thing before coming back and I spoke with the night auditor who proceeded to argue with me and tried to put the blame on me for choosing the wrong bed type when it was a Hilton employee who told me they’d be big enough. Due to not coming to a conclusion that evening, one of my friends had to sleep in the floor. So, we were getting ready to check out the following morning but the front desk agent convinced me to stay at a lower rate for an additional room. Personally speaking, I don’t think we should’ve had to pay for that bc aside from the main issue of the beds, there were bugs inside photos, the tub was leaking and there wasn’t enough room supply for the amount of people staying. Further more, after we checked out the following day, we were hit with a $50 charge due to a stained comforter that was not from our room. I love Hilton. Always have, always will but I will not be staying at this particular hotel again. I appreciate the refund we were given by the assistant manager but I do hope there is further training in how to better serve the guests. This entire experience nearly ruined my birthday weekend but I’m grateful my friends were there to help distract me from the chaos. I know the manager likes to comment but don’t bother. I spoke to yall already but that’s not to say I won’t share my experience with others.
