The SOMERSET Springhill suites location is WONDERFUL. After being kicked out of the Springhill Suites in the Toxic WoodBridge location due to the bad treatment of the front desk I came to this location and was welcomed with open arms. The staff was a professional representation of the Marriott name. The standards of the front desk staff is high vibrational, warm and helpful. I traveled far and was treated with respect and dignity. The rooms were superb and the hallways were quiet. If you are looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay that feels like home. SOMERSET FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP will not disappoint. Thanks to everyone I feel well rested and rejuvenated.

Its proximity to major roadways such as I-287 allows for easy navigation to nearby corporate parks, attractions, and universities. The hotel is situated about 5.6 miles from Rutgers University, making it a viable option for those visiting the campus. Its location also offers access to local businesses and amenities in the Somerset area. Guest feedback on the environment can be mixed; some reviews praise its quiet hallways and peaceful atmosphere, while others have reported issues that impact the overall comfort of the stay, such as loud fire alarms or maintenance issues.

A significant amenity is the complimentary breakfast, which typically includes a selection of hot and cold items, providing a convenient start to the day. The hotel operates with a front desk, though specific hours are not always detailed, it is generally staffed to assist guests. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, ensuring guests can stay connected for work or leisure. For recreation and fitness, the hotel features an indoor pool, allowing for year-round enjoyment, and a fitness center, enabling guests to maintain their workout routines. Other services include self-parking, though specific fees may apply (it's often free at SpringHill Suites, but checking with the property is advisable). For business needs, a business center is typically available. The hotel also provides dry cleaning/laundry services and a vending machine. There are common areas where guests can relax. One of the strongest points, as highlighted by positive customer reviews, is the staff, particularly at the front desk, who are described as "professional representation of the Marriott name," "high vibrational, warm and helpful," and treating guests with "respect and dignity." This indicates a commitment to guest service, which is a key aspect of the Marriott brand.

Features:

A defining feature of SpringHill Suites is its all-suite accommodation concept. The hotel offers 133 suites spread across four floors, providing more space than a traditional hotel room. Each suite is designed with separate living and sleeping areas, often including a pull-out sofa, which is ideal for families or multiple guests. Standard in-suite amenities typically include a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a wet bar area, allowing guests to prepare light meals and snacks. Rooms are generally equipped with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with a shower/tub combination, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. A desk and ergonomic chair are usually provided for business travelers. The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing pets for a fee, which is a notable feature for those traveling with companion animals. The presence of an indoor pool is a key recreational feature, providing a climate-controlled environment for swimming. The fitness center is equipped for basic workouts. The hotel's design aims to offer a residential feel while providing the conveniences of a hotel. However, based on some customer reviews, guests should be aware that the condition of specific room elements, such as bathrooms, and the functionality of certain hotel features like elevators, might vary and could be subjects of maintenance. Concerns regarding fire alarms going off for unknown reasons have also been noted.

Promotional Information and Guest Considerations:

As a Marriott property, SpringHill Suites Somerset Franklin Township participates in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. This allows members to earn points on their stays, which can be redeemed for free nights, room upgrades, and other travel benefits. Marriott often offers various promotions, including seasonal sales, advance purchase discounts, and special rates for AAA and AARP members. Guests can usually find these promotions directly on the Marriott website or through the Marriott Bonvoy app. Booking directly with Marriott can sometimes provide additional benefits or better flexibility. Corporate rates may also be available for business travelers whose companies have agreements with Marriott. It is always recommended to check the official Marriott website for the most current promotional offers and specific terms and conditions.

It is important to offer an objective perspective, which includes acknowledging the range of guest experiences. While some guests have had "WONDERFUL" stays, praising the staff and the quality of the rooms, others have reported significant issues. These concerns include alleged billing errors, damaged bathrooms with "cracks, holes, and a few webs," ant infestations in rooms, unexplained fire alarms, and broken elevators. There have also been reports of difficulties in receiving refunds for damage costs or unused nights. Prospective guests are strongly advised to read recent reviews carefully and, if specific concerns arise, to contact the hotel directly before booking to clarify the current condition of facilities and any relevant policies, especially regarding damage deposits or refunds. This proactive approach can help manage expectations and ensure a more satisfactory stay.

This has to be one of the worst hotel stays I ever had, that is not being dramatic. The front desk almost charged me extra tax when I paid in advance, the bathroom was damaged (cracks, holes, and a few webs), the room was infested with ants, fire alarm going off with unknown reason, broken elevator during my whole stay (there were 2 weddings). The biggest kicker is the hotel did not pay me back my damage cost fee and refund for one of my nights which has been over 2 weeks. Not only did the hotel steal over $200 of my money but also had me stay in 2 different rooms that were infested with ants and damage. DO NOT stay at this hotel. Do search for a different hotel to stay in.

I booked Springhill Suites for a wedding block and it was perfect! There was mixed reviews on communication for this hotel I believe due to changing positions and someone new taking over sales, all I can say is in the month leading up to the wedding they were fantastic with communication and helped me with everything I needed. I was in communication with DD who was great. You can email or call and ask to speak with her and just explain what you need and they are super helpful. The guests all loved the rooms, they were suites which was great because every room had a pull out couch so they all fit 4 or 6 people. The bridal suite was massive and beautiful, the staff was very friendly. They even had a free shuttle to take you back and forth to the venue. We booked an additional shuttle because we had a lot of people staying at the hotel, I’m not sure whether or not it was necessary, but wanted to play it safe. The hotel helped us book a bartender the first night for some welcome drinks after the rehearsal dinner, which was great and they have after party options, but we ended up booking next door. I definitely recommend booking here, we are now big fans of Springhill suites.

We got married at The Palace at Somerset Park and after we visited for the first time, we saw there were a plethora of hotels to choose from for our wedding block. After contacting several hotels and getting less than subpar customer service, we were in contact with Springhill Suites. From the first conversation, we were hooked! We started off talking with Julie, who no longer works there, but was extremely helpful and great to work with. We then transitioned to working with Dyolinda, “DD”, who was just as amazing! DD was so supportive and helpful throughout the entire process. She was excellent with communication and responding to all of our questions in a timely manner! Now onto the actual hotel- gorgeous! We are STILL getting compliments on how clean and classy Springhill Suites was. The rooms are spacious and again, so clean! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It was important to us to have a hotel that provided breakfast for our guests, all of which raved about the variety of choices available. After the wedding, we all met in the lobby and hung out for a couple hours which was so nice and relaxing (very stress free!)! We were able to book a package through the hotel and obtained a bartender for the after party. Everyone had a great time and made sure to tell us the next morning at breakfast how it was one of their favorite hotels they’ve stayed in! We couldn’t agree more! The suite we stayed in was beautiful and I couldn’t believe how spacious it was! From the common area with a lovely seating area and table to the double sink and massive bathroom, we were so impressed! The room not only came with a shower but a jacuzzi tub as well! Again, I can’t recommend Springhill Suites enough and all of the staff was absolutely amazing!

Rooms are spacious and adequately decorated. Feels like a Wayfair commercial. Was surprised to learn it was all West Elm. If not for a work function I would spend $300 a night here for Somerset NJ. Run of mill cookie cutter formula. Good enough for my works money, but not mine.
