So, whoever they used for the photographer needs to be given a raise, because they made the hotel look way better than it is. That being said, it's clearly an older hotel, but they're trying to make it nicer. The staff was wonderful, the price was reasonable for what you got, and the location was great. To make your stay more enjoyable, I would suggest the following: to watch TV, press the input button until HDMI3 is highlighted, bring earplugs for sleeping in case you have very rude nocturnal neighbors like we did, and maybe a dehumidifier and air freshener. Breakfast was offered, but I did not partake in it because it was only available until 9:00 am. There is also no pool or gym (not a complaint, just letting you know). The water pressure in the shower was good and the temperature was nice and scalding hot, just the way I like it. Overall, not a horrible stay, it just was not what I had expected based on the photos.

Jun 10, 2025 · Alecia JacksonWe arrived at the hotel around 5 pm on July 26, checked in and found out they booked us in a 2nd floor room although our reservation was acknowledged for an accessible 1st floor room accomodations two days prior to our arrival. (We found out from front desk that the customer staying in the accessible room extended their stay thus preventing us from getting the contracted accessible room). They offered to book us instead with Red Roof Inn which we declined. Having no other choice in the matter, we took the 2nd floor room. Room #219 in all appearances was a nice room but had a smelly bathroom. We informed the front desk about the situation and front desk moved us out to Room 222. The layout, decor, and furnitures of the new room overall we're topnotch. But the TV sets in rooms 219 and 222 although of different brands we're not Smart TVs and only offered local and a very limited number of TV channels to choose from. In room # 222, I noticed that the water temperature was neutral but leaning towards the cold side while brushing my teeth before going to bed. The following morning, my wife got up first to take a shower and found the shower handle was broken and that hot water was not forthcoming from the faucet shower nor the sink. Dialing the hot water and running the sink faucet for about 3 minutes did not change the temperature of the cold water. At this juncture, we decided to cut short our schedule to stay another day and checked out. We have been a loyal client of this hotel in the past and have designated it our 'go to' hotel whenever visiting my Aunt because of it's proximity to her house in Skokie. This arrangement will probably change considering all the negative experiences of our one night stay in this hotel. Questions: 1. Are hotels required to provide hot water to it's customers? 2. Can an hotel break a contract to benefit a customer at the expense of another? 3. Should we get a partial or full refund and/or get compensated for the hotel's actions? 4. Should senior citizens and/or handicapped people be protected by law from such actions committed by this hotel? AITA
Jul 28, 2025 · George ProfetaNice hotel, friendly staff and clean rooms. Only complaint is the shower could use non slip strips in it. Otherwise great place to stay.
Jul 26, 2025 · Rob ClementI give five stars even though the TV did not work. It just showed a weak signal. I probably could have messed around with the cord in the back and I’m sure it would’ve worked, but I didn’t really wanna watch anyway I was working on my computer, and the Wi-Fi was fine. Very clean, Very quiet, Inexpensive, And very polite at the desk….. I would recommend it, Just check the TV.
May 31, 2025 · Dave WinfreyMy family had an emergency and we booked this hotel for a few nights only to discover our room was infested with bed bugs. One of my kids had bites on their arm and wrist. We pulled the bed away from the wall to find bed bug feces all over the mattress cover. We complained to the front desk and we were told we would receive a discount that we never received, I even called the hotel to follow up and the clerk redirected me to their customer service line and told me he would text me their number and never did. The room also had spatter on the walls and the bathroom needs better ventilation as there is possible mold. There was breakfast advertised on the booking listing, but there was a sign at the front desk saying that breakfast was temporarily suspended. All the vending machines were also out of order. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. To the owners: take better pride in your business, I am sure this is a franchised location. Now I have to hire an exterminator to make sure I did not bring any bed bugs home with me.
