Overall our stay at this hotel was not so Good, pictures online looked Amazing but we regret staying there. It was our first time in Asheville and staying at the hotel was a mistake. The rooms were spacious but the bathrooms were not clean, carpet was dirty and one bedroom shower was not working. Also, we could barely sleep because of all the noises from people using the bathroom or walking at 5am, seemed like thunderstorms. Please, Please read Reviews before booking this hotel. In addition, there were some issues and concerns regarding the service. Front desk person name Justin was rude and hangup the phone on us when we tried to contact him for shower not working and other issues with the room. We asked if we could move to another room, he said they are completely booked. He was rude and raciest and very disrespectful and unprofessional. We tried to reach out to the manager Barbara she wasn’t responsive either when we told her about the room issues and the front desk person behavior, she said she would look into this matter and call us back. She didn’t reach out to us at all, very disappointing and unprofessional staff and services.

For those of us within North Carolina looking for a distinguished and spacious base to explore Asheville, understanding what The Residences at Biltmore offers is key to planning a perfect visit.

Asheville continuously draws visitors with its diverse appeal, from the grandeur of the Biltmore Estate to the bohemian charm of the River Arts District and the lively downtown core. Whether you're coming for a romantic anniversary, a family gathering, or a relaxing escape, the type of lodging you choose can greatly impact your overall enjoyment. The Residences at Biltmore positions itself as an "all-suite aparthotel," meaning it's designed to offer more than just a standard hotel room. This article will provide a detailed overview, touching on its location, the unique services and features that define its offerings, and how it might be the ideal fit for your next Asheville adventure. We’ll provide factual insights to help you make an informed decision as a local North Carolina traveler.

Location and Accessibility

The Residences at Biltmore are located at 700 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28803, USA. This address places the property in a strategic position that offers both proximity to major attractions and a slightly removed, quieter atmosphere compared to the bustling heart of downtown. Crucially, the hotel is situated near the iconic Biltmore Estate, a major draw for visitors to Asheville. In fact, it is noted to be less than half a mile from the Biltmore Estate, making it an excellent choice for those whose primary purpose for visiting Asheville is to explore the historic mansion and its grounds.

The location on Biltmore Avenue, a multi-lane thoroughfare, means good connectivity to other parts of Asheville. While one guest noted that getting "in and out of" the location could be "mildly inconvenient" due to a "large blind curve," the overall accessibility to the Biltmore Estate, Memorial Stadium, and Mission Hospital is highlighted. For those with a car, free self-parking is provided on-site, a significant benefit in Asheville where parking can often be a challenge or come with additional costs. This ease of parking enhances the convenience for North Carolina locals driving to the city. While it might require a short drive or a longer walk to reach the core downtown area, the trade-off is a potentially quieter stay with easier vehicle access. The ability to quickly reach the Biltmore Estate by car or even a modest walk, coupled with the ample free parking, makes this location very practical for a wide range of visitors.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For North Carolina locals considering a trip to Asheville, The Residences at Biltmore offers a unique proposition that, despite some reported inconsistencies in guest experience, holds distinct advantages for specific travel needs. Its suitability largely depends on what you prioritize for your Asheville getaway.

Firstly, the most compelling aspect of this property is its design around spacious, apartment-style suites. For families, groups, or those planning a longer stay, having separate living and sleeping areas, coupled with a fully equipped kitchen and in-suite laundry, provides a level of comfort and convenience that traditional hotel rooms cannot match. This allows for cost savings on dining out, the flexibility to prepare your own meals, and the ease of managing luggage and personal items for extended periods. For North Carolina residents who appreciate a "home-away-from-home" feel, especially when traveling with children or multiple companions, this setup is invaluable.

Secondly, the location, while not in the immediate downtown hustle, is exceptionally convenient for visiting the Biltmore Estate. If your primary reason for coming to Asheville is to explore this historic landmark, then being less than half a mile away, with complimentary self-parking, significantly enhances your experience. The direct access without battling downtown traffic or parking fees is a considerable benefit for local travelers driving in. While there were some reports of noise or issues with service, many other reviews on various platforms indicate a high level of satisfaction with room spaciousness, cleanliness, and the overall value for money, scoring highly for location, cleanliness, and facilities.

While one review detailed a negative experience with specific staff members and room issues, it's important to consider that overall online ratings for this property often remain positive, highlighting a strong average experience for many guests. The presence of amenities like a seasonal outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and even spa services further adds to the appeal, offering recreational and relaxation options on-site. For North Carolina locals seeking a spacious, convenient, and value-oriented stay, particularly if the Biltmore Estate is on your itinerary, The Residences at Biltmore presents a compelling and practical choice that allows for a comfortable and flexible Asheville adventure.

Went to Biltmore for our 11 year anniversary and stayed here. The front desk service was fantastic. Well above average. Grounds and buildings are well kept. Our room was spacious and private, with a balcony. Other than sirens from police and ambulances in the evening hours, it's pretty quiet. The on-site restaurant is pricey. The location is mildly inconvenient to get in and out of. It sits on a multi lane thoroughfare, just before a large blind curve, and it was a little sketchy pulling out and turning left. Overall, I'd recommend it.

When booking this hotel through this site, beware that you are not guaranteed any type of room because they are a 3rd party... at least that's what we were told. We were put in a dingy, dated, worn and not taken care of handicap room. The shower was filled with long dark hairs plastered to the walls and a shower curtain you had to stand on while showering. The walls were scuffed, some floor tiles were cracked, and pieces of blinds and light bulbs missing. Also, most of the outlets in the room were loose, so trying to charge your phones or use hair tools is tricky and super unsafe. Overall the unit was uncomfortable and disappointing. I tried emailing the manager with no response. We asked to switch rooms and was refused because they were full even though the small parking lot was fairly empty. Do not go by any of the pictures you see as every room is individually owned and rented out through a property management company. If you are looking for a lot of space, close to downtown at a bargain... you will definitely get what you pay for here.

I will not stay here ever again. TV wasn't working so they sent a guy to fix it. He said he needed a code left and never came back. We were lied to on Friday and they said the pool would be fixed in 3 hours. Saturday at 2 the pool still wasn't open. Stayed here last year and the pool wasn't open then either. I had to go to the office to get a manager to check the pool. Finally they opened it up about 3 on Saturday. They do not answer the phone at the front desk either. If your pool needs maintenence you need to put in red on your website to let people know. You rent a hotel room for the amenities. You need new management. Will NOT be back.

Great deal, afforadable, kitchenette as advertised cute balcony. You can hear people walking upstairs and such but I don’t mind it. I have kids i’m used to it. Very safe when I expressed a safety concern, good security. very clean and well kept … Nice TV with all the disney + and streaming features set up. I really enjoyed this stay!
