The heat in our room didn't work. The first night they said they hadn't turned the heat back on when the weather changed. Sent me to a hall thermometer. The halls were warm but not our room. The second day they said that the heat in our room was the mini split and they would send someone to be sure it was set correctly. They said it was checked while we were out for the day but it was so cold we wore sweats and socks to bed. They ultimately offered to move us to another of their hotels but it was late and we were unpacked and only there for another night The bar area was closed. They offered a coffee station but no cream. No where to sit outside of the room other than a cold porch. The room was neat but not clean (cobwebs in bathroom...hearing vent cover missing...spiders in shower... Hairballs behind the toilet) Extremely disappointed. It was our 38th wedding anniversary thankfully after all these years we had fun in spite of not being happy with our accommodations.

The Whitlock By The Lenox Collection Introduce

For individuals exploring the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform in search of accommodation in Lenox, Massachusetts, The Whitlock By The Lenox Collection presents itself as a potential option. Located at 16 Church St, Lenox, MA 01240, USA, this property aims to offer a distinctive lodging experience. This introduction will provide a detailed and objective overview of the hotel, drawing upon its physical location, the services it purports to offer, its features, and the mixed promotional aspects gleaned from authentic customer feedback.

The hotel's contact information includes a phone number at (413) 551-2410 and a mobile phone number at +1 413-551-2410, ensuring direct communication for inquiries and reservations. The address, 16 Church Street, places The Whitlock in a central and desirable location within Lenox, a charming New England town renowned for its cultural attractions, historic architecture, and scenic beauty in the Berkshires. The environment surrounding The Whitlock is notably convenient, as it is described as "centrally located within walking distance of everything." This is a significant advantage for guests who wish to explore downtown Lenox's boutiques, restaurants, and cultural venues on foot. The ambiance of the town itself contributes to the hotel's environment, suggesting a picturesque and serene setting. The outdoor areas, including a "fire pit outside," further enhance the environment, providing a pleasant space for relaxation and socializing, which is a valuable feature for those Browse "Hotels Near Of Me" for properties with appealing outdoor spaces.

The services at The Whitlock By The Lenox Collection present a somewhat mixed picture based on guest experiences. One positive aspect highlighted is the streamlined check-in process: "Checking in at the Constance was a breeze, and picking up our key on arrival was fast and easy." The appreciation for "text updates that included reminders about where to check in and driving directions" indicates a proactive and helpful communication strategy by the staff. The staff's attentiveness is also noted generally in the positive review. However, a significant concern regarding services emerged from a negative review pertaining to heating issues. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the problem over two days, the room remained cold, suggesting a failure in basic comfort provision and potentially slow or ineffective problem resolution by staff in that particular instance. The lack of essentials like "no cream" at the coffee station and a closed "bar area" (implying limited hours or unexpected closures) further point to inconsistencies in service availability and amenities. While the positive review praises the "bar offered every type of drink one could want," this contrast highlights potential variability in the guest experience depending on the time of stay or specific circumstances. These discrepancies in service quality are important for potential guests to consider when using "Hotels Near Of Me."

The features of The Whitlock By The Lenox Collection are varied, combining both appealing elements and areas of concern. The rooms themselves are described by one guest as "beautiful," with "coziness" and "loved the ambiance of each room," suggesting an appealing aesthetic and comfortable atmosphere. However, another review provided critical feedback on room cleanliness, noting that the room was "neat but not clean (cobwebs in bathroom...hearing vent cover missing...spiders in shower... Hairballs behind the toilet)." These are significant cleanliness issues that directly impact guest comfort and hygiene. Furthermore, the persistent heating problem in one room, despite attempts to fix it, points to potential maintenance issues affecting core amenities. The "mini split" system mentioned for heating suggests modern individual climate control units, but their functionality was an issue. The hotel features an outdoor "fire pit," which provides a relaxing and communal outdoor space. A "bar area" is also a notable feature, offering a place for guests to enjoy drinks and socialize, though its operational status or hours can vary. The hotel also has "no where to sit outside of the room other than a cold porch" according to one review, suggesting limited common areas for relaxation outside of individual rooms. The hotel is branded as "By The Lenox Collection," which implies a curated selection of properties, potentially highlighting unique design or a boutique experience, which could be an attractive feature for specific travelers.

Promotional information for The Whitlock By The Lenox Collection is shaped by both glowing testimonials and strong criticisms from past guests. The positive review, expressing happiness with the "room, the service and atmosphere" and wishing for "more time and could have stayed longer!", serves as powerful organic promotion. It highlights the "ambiance," "fire pit," and the "coziness of our room," appealing to those seeking a relaxing and charming getaway. The central location and well-stocked bar are also strong promotional points. However, the deeply negative review, expressing "Extremely disappointed" and detailing severe issues with heating, cleanliness ("cobwebs," "spiders," "hairballs"), and inconsistent service, acts as a significant counter-promotion. The anecdote about an anniversary being enjoyed "in spite of not being happy with our accommodations" is a strong warning. For users of the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, this dichotomy means that while the hotel has the potential to offer a delightful experience, there are also substantial risks regarding basic comfort and cleanliness. Any promotional material would ideally focus on the positive aspects while tacitly acknowledging the need for consistency in service and maintenance across all rooms. The brand "The Lenox Collection" likely aims to convey a sense of quality and exclusivity, which would be part of its overall promotional strategy.

In conclusion, The Whitlock By The Lenox Collection, located at 16 Church St, Lenox, MA 01240, USA, and reachable at (413) 551-2410 or +1 413-551-2410, is a property that offers a mixed experience for individuals searching on the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform. Its environment benefits from a highly central and walkable location in charming downtown Lenox, with pleasant outdoor features like a fire pit. Services, while praised for seamless check-in and proactive communication in some instances, have also faced significant criticism regarding functionality (heating) and availability (bar hours, coffee cream). Key features include aesthetically pleasing and cozy rooms, though cleanliness and maintenance issues have been reported. While the "Lenox Collection" branding suggests a boutique and curated experience, the stark contrast in guest reviews indicates that the actual experience can vary significantly. Potential guests should weigh the appealing aspects of location and ambiance against the reported inconsistencies in basic comfort, cleanliness, and service. For those considering this property, a direct inquiry about specific room conditions and current operational status of amenities would be advisable to ensure it meets their expectations for a stay in Lenox.

My husband and I stayed for one weekend night recently, and were very happy with our room, the service and atmosphere! I loved the ambiance of each room, the fire pit outside and the coziness of our room. Checking in at the Constance was a breeze, and picking up our key on arrival was fast and easy. I appreciated the text updates that included reminders about where to check in and driving directions. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of everything, and the bar offered every type of drink one could want. I only wish we would have had more time and could have stayed longer!

I recently stayed at The Whitlock in Lenox, Massachusetts. Overall, my experience was okay, but there were a few notable issues that impacted my stay. The inn itself is charming and well-located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. However, the Continental breakfast was extremely lackluster. They ran out of plates, silverware, and coffee, which was quite disappointing. It seemed like they were unprepared for the number of guests, and this oversight significantly detracted from the overall experience. The room was also quite cold even though I shut the AC completely off it seems to keep putting out cold air.

My wife and I stayed there this weekend for her birthday. The hotel staff that we met were attentive and gave us their contact information in case there were any issues in our stay. The room was well sized for our needs and the room and bathroom were clean. The bed was comfy and we slept soundly. Wonderful location, I hope to stay there again in the summer months!

The entrance is around the restaurant in the front and toward the back of the building. The restaurant is currently not operating. It's really cute outside, but the rooms were super plain. I felt like I was in an old-fashioned boarding house. A bed, a dresser, and two chairs. No table between the chairs. The chairs weren't comfortable to relax in. No amenities in the bathroom. Just towels and shampoo. Good communication before check-in via text. The check-in is someone sitting at a table as you enter the front door. It was fairly efficient. There are 32 rooms over two floors. No elevator. Parking in the back. It's one way in and out. Great location. Easy to walk to things in Lenox. I won't stay there again though. It wasn't cozy or romantic.
