Reading some of the reviews before I arrived made me wonder if I was making a mistake. Not at all is the answer! This place is wonderful. Whilst, yes, the decor is dated in places the rooms are large and spotlessly clean. My room had a very usable kitchenette and plenty of space. The views of the city from my balcony were spectacular and the location was ideal to access all that I needed. Sadly it rained for my entire stay so I didn’t get to enjoy the pool! The property was quiet and felt very safe. Oh yes, I particularly want to mention Benjamin who checked me in. He was everything I would ever want in a warm and efficient welcome! What a first rate employee.

The features of The Windsor Suites truly set it apart in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. A primary distinguishing feature is its all-suite accommodation model, which includes studio and one-bedroom suites, ranging from 450 to 900 square feet. Critically, each suite comes with a very usable, fully equipped kitchenette (or full kitchen in larger suites), complete with a refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker (including Keurig with premium coffee and teas), and kitchenware. This allows guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals, store leftovers, and save on dining expenses, a highly valued amenity for longer stays or families. Many rooms also feature private balconies offering "spectacular" views of the city, particularly the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Other in-room amenities include walk-in closets, oversized work desks, in-room laptop safes, premium cable channels, and luxury bath products. The hotel also offers a seasonal outdoor rooftop pool, which provides stunning skyline views, a sunlit terrace, and a fire pit, creating a unique urban oasis. For an elevated experience, the Skyline Club Level offers exclusive access to the private Observation Lounge, a refined sanctuary with floor-to-ceiling windows, complimentary snacks and refreshments, and a 24/24 coffee and tea service.
Promotional information for The Windsor Suites would heavily emphasize its prime location, spacious all-suite accommodations with full kitchens, and unique amenities like the rooftop pool and pet-friendly policy. The hotel actively promotes its "extended stay" options, offering discounted rates for stays of 7 nights or more, positioning itself as a "home-away-from-home" for business, relocation, or medical visits. Special packages, such as the "Prepay & Save" rate, are offered for early bird bookers. The hotel would also highlight its "Skyline Club Level" for those seeking a premium experience with exclusive access to the Observation Lounge and enhanced amenities. Positive guest testimonials, particularly those praising the customer service and the convenience of the kitchenettes and location, would be central to their marketing efforts. The hotel's affiliation with various discount programs like AAA/CAA, corporate, government/military, and AARP discounts also suggests a broad appeal and targeted promotional strategies.
Objectively, while the hotel garners significant praise, it's worth noting the feedback regarding "dated decor in places." However, this is consistently offset by comments on the rooms' cleanliness and spaciousness, indicating that any aesthetic shortcomings are minor compared to the practical benefits and overall comfort. The seasonal nature of the rooftop pool means it might not be available year-round, which could be a consideration for some guests. However, the overwhelming consensus from reviews points to a highly positive guest experience, primarily driven by the exceptional location, the practicality and comfort of the suite-style rooms with kitchen facilities, and the standout performance of the staff. The recurrent positive mentions of specific staff members like Benjamin underscore the hotel's commitment to personalized and welcoming service, making The Windsor Suites a highly recommended choice for anyone seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of Philadelphia.

May 23, 2025 · SarahI came across this hotel by chance...and what an amazing experience. Upon check in, I was greeted by an amazing customer service rep, Benjamin Jones. He was friendly, professional, accommodating, and made me feel important. I was soooo tired and he made check-in a breeze. The hotel is in a great location--walkable to all the sights. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It was great to have a kitchen to store water, leftovers, etc. The restaurants are both delicious, with great food and drinks. I will stay here again and again!
May 23, 2025 · Suzanne JacksonOur stay started out with amazing customer service from Catherine. She was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We needed to extend our stay at the last minute and met with Catherine again. She was able to move us to a beautiful 24th floor suite and was extremely helpful and once again so friendly. Besides the wonderful staff, the pool and loungers are great and the room is beautiful. The restaurant is also really fun with great food. We would definitely stay here again!
May 20, 2025 · Cindie BurgazzoliWould not stay again. In the plus side, the hotel is centrally located and reasonably priced and the suites are huge. The front desk staff and the doorman were lovely. They are clean but showing their age. The tv didn’t work well, the remote had buttons missing, the bathroom is tiny and seriously in need of renovation. They are supposed to have daily housekeeping, but I was gone between 7:30 am and 5 pm, and my room was not cleaned. When I called the front desk, at 5 I was told that the housekeeper said I had the do not disturb sign on my room. That is not true. I understand that they are busy and that cleaning suites takes more time than cleaning regular rooms, but it makes me upset that they are lying. Save yourself the aggravation and choose somewhere else
May 16, 2025 · miriam kulkarniI stayed at the hotel with three other couples. Of the three rooms booked, two had stained carpeting and appeared somewhat dated, while the third room was more modern. The reception staff was less courteous than I have encountered at other establishments. The location was ideal for our needs, but I would not choose this hotel again due to concerns with management's attitude. Basic services such as bed-making, towel replacement, and trash removal were not consistently provided, which impacted our overall experience.
