We were referred to this tiny home getaway from a friend and booked our stay for last Thanksgiving. We were so pleased that we rebooked for this year prior to checking out last year! So convenient and fun for the kids and is hopefully part of a long-standing family tradition of going on the Polar Express and exploring Bryson City... It was VERY CLEAN and fresh... There was a small fire pit and an amazing porch to watch the train go by and enjoyed breakfast and snacks... We honestly love it there.

An amazing porch overlooking the river serves as an ideal spot for enjoying breakfast, snacks, or simply taking in the scenic beauty. The natural surroundings lend themselves to a variety of outdoor activities, from world-class fly fishing steps from the cabin on the Tuckasegee River (known for having one of the highest trout counts in the Southeast) to nearby hiking, tubing, and exploring the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is known for its waterfalls and trails.

The convenient location, being "close enough to drive home after dinner but not so far that you're hearing traffic," is appreciated. The "beautiful restroom" with perfect water temperature and pressure adds to the comfort. While some minor considerations include potential heavy traffic on the main road and a gravel parking area (for two standard-sized cars, no trailers), these are generally outweighed by the overall positive experience. Aug 12, 2022 · Angie LovelaceLoved this place so much that I was the original creator of the Google Place. So glad to check back and see all of the positive reviews! What a gem in Bryson City. My husband and I visited in May of 2018 for our 15th wedding anniversary. The location was perfect in relation to town and restaurants (close enough to drive home after dinner but not so far that you're hearing traffic). The river was beautiful to watch especially while relaxing in the hot tub outside. The cottage was very clean and well-maintained. Please check the cabinets before heading to town for forgotten grocery items as there are many things left behind like coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. We realized this after finding 3 bags of coffee in the cupboard. There's a beautiful restroom and the water temp/pressure were perfect. I thought for the price that the cottage was an excellent value. You will definitely be inspired to sell your house and build a tiny home after staying here :D
