Absolutely abysmal. Beggars and potheads everywhere. The room was partly repainted like it was a crime scene. They couldn't figure out how to get a key to work, so we could never all leave the room at the same time as then we couldn't get in otherwise. They charged parking...at this tiny hotel outside of a tiny city, after I verified that they would not. How else would you get to the hotel if not in your car? The shower has one control, so you can have enough water baking hot or the righ temp of water barely coming out. Incredibly bad design. Mexicans working there. They don't understand English and kept answering using words they know instead of our questions. Older lady yammering loudly at her phone in Spanish the lobby the whole time. RIGHT next to the highway, so no chance of sleeping. The windows appeared to be made of paper and block none of the noise. We joked about how the pillows were all the same, and make oout of balled up socks. No way to sleep on them. The shower door slammed shut every time, waking up...everyone. Thanks for ruining the only time we've been able to get away in a few years. Marriott...never again.

Jun 15, 2025 · Brad MartoneNice place to stay ... very good rooms with Kitchnettes ( not sure if all rooms have the kitchenettes ) ... very friendly staff ( they make you feel like a friend ... real good breakfast ( different main items daily ) ... overall, it is just a nice place ... can't go wrong here
Jun 19, 2025 · Steve MixsonClean rooms, the manager was not so helpful nor friendly when an issue came up. He did not slove the issue but only made it worse by checking my rate to see what I was paying for the night as if that has anything to do with the issue that was at hand. Needless to say left without my issue being sloved and taken care of. Felt I was not valued as a guest because of the rate I was paying.
Apr 03, 2025 · Penny PolochakThe rooms are clean and quiet. The king bed in our room was comfortable. The futon that my daughter slept on was not very comfortable and would benefit from adding a mattress topper or pad. The kitchen in the room has everything you need to prepare and eat a hot meal. The included breakfast is really nice- eggs, hashbrowns, waffles, bacon, yogurt, etc. Way more than just a continental breakfast. I had to pay for parking but then there was no parking spot available. Mostly a great stay with just a couple things need improvement. I definitely don't think they should charge for parking when they don't have enough parking spots for all registered guests.
May 27, 2024 · Hawk Ridge YearbookI recently stayed at TownePlace Suites Asheville Downtown, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The hotel was impeccably clean and exuded a modern charm. My room was equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The breakfast each morning was delicious and offered a great variety. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Asheville! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
