The pictures online are not what our room looked like. It was not a dirty room, but it could definitely use some updating. The shower was very tiny and the bathroom itself was very outdated. The beds were comfortable and the location was convenient for us. The staff at the counter were nice as well. It was just for a night so we made it work. Its a budget friendly option, but slightly misleading in pictures.

When considering promotional information, Vacationland Inn positions itself as an economical choice for visitors to Brewer and Bangor. Its primary draw is undoubtedly the affordability it offers compared to higher-end hotels in the area. The inclusion of free continental breakfast and free parking are strong selling points that add to the overall value for guests. While the hotel does not always feature extensive, flashy promotions, its consistent offering of a lower price point naturally serves as its main promotional strategy. It targets travelers who are looking for a place to simply rest and recharge without incurring significant expenses. Reviews often highlight its suitability for "just for a night" stays or for those seeking a "quick pit stop." However, it's crucial for prospective guests, especially local users searching for "Hotels Near Me," to manage expectations regarding the property's condition. Some reviews indicate that the online pictures may be "slightly misleading" and that rooms could "definitely use some updating." Concerns about cleanliness, particularly regarding dirty floors, stained linens, and unclean bathrooms, have also been raised in more critical feedback, suggesting an "unkept" environment. Furthermore, some guests have reported concerns about the surrounding area, with mentions of "bad sections of Brewer" and "lots of drug use," which can impact the overall perception of safety and comfort. While some past guests recall a much nicer experience several years ago, recent reviews suggest a decline in standards. Therefore, while it remains a budget-friendly option, potential visitors should be aware of these reported issues to ensure their expectations align with what the Vacationland Inn currently offers.

Apr 23, 2025 · Kristin MazziottaThis is the most uncleanly hotel that I have ever stayed at. The bathroom was not clean (toilet). We were put in a different room. The floors were dirty and the linens were stained. It is an unkept hotel which I will never stay at again. After spending one night there, we quickly canceled our reservation for our return trip. We heard from a few people that this is one of the bad sections of Brewer. Lots of drug use. I’m sad because we had stayed here about 7 or 8 years ago and it was very nice then. Pretty sad what has become of it.
Apr 19, 2025 · Lorena NovakSo I reviewed this hotel with Expedia and they didn't like that I only mentioned the shower not working but when they went up and it was working. But I took pictures and a video of the shower not turning on. The breakfast was very mediocre. I paid 175 for this hotel. Mind you this was a big cheer comp weekend. Definitely not satisfied with this trip and the staffs dishonesty really added the cherry on top.
Mar 02, 2025 · Rachel McCrayGreat location and the staff is amazing but they are set up for local long term stays and because of that housekeeping doesn't work as well as I think they should we have been here 2 weeks and going to be here another week or two so to say I have had to go to the office twice for clean towels and toilet paper is a bit much but they more then make up for it with very helpful and friendly people who work in the front office when we asked them to switch us from and upstairs room to a downstairs room they were very accommodating and understood my need because of my asthma and breathing issues.all in all we have had a wonderful experience in vacationland motel thanks everyone who made that possible!!
Mar 24, 2025 · Kari Curtis (Buck)Staff are nice, breakfast is nice enough for what it is especially for no extra charge, rooms in back building are much nicer than in main building and much quieter and the location is fantastic close to everything needed including public transportation 4 out of 5 stars only downfall is that it could use a little renovation seems a little dated and ran into some unsavory guests at times but all in all well worth the price point
