I have been coming here for 16 years. My parents own a trailer in the park. To my knowledge, this is the only trailer park where you own your property, in the area. This park has everything! Outdoor pools, health center with universal and free weights, clubhouse with a stage and dance floor, hobby clubs, all kinds of courts for sports, and a off leash dog park. I plan to buy into the park for retirement in a few years!

Venture Out Resort Introduce

For Arizona residents approaching or enjoying their retirement years, the concept of a "resort hotel" often brings to mind a vibrant community brimming with activities and amenities. Venture Out Resort in Mesa, Arizona, distinguishes itself as more than just a typical resort; it's a unique 55+ active adult community where individuals own their property. This model offers a sense of permanence and belonging, combined with an impressive array of facilities and social opportunities typically found in high-end resorts. As locals, understanding this distinction is crucial: Venture Out is not a transient hotel for short stays, but rather a dynamic residential community designed for long-term living and active engagement. It's a place where residents can truly invest in a lifestyle tailored for active retirement, surrounded by like-minded individuals and an abundance of recreational pursuits.

Venture Out Resort was founded over 50 years ago with a vision for luxury accommodations for RV enthusiasts, and it has evolved into a meticulously planned community of 1,749 homes, often featuring park models or manufactured homes where residents own their lot. This ownership model, described by one long-time visitor as "the only trailer park where you own your property, in the area," fosters a strong sense of community and stability. Managed by a Homeowners Association (HOA) governed by an elected board of directors, the resort continually updates its standards to meet homeowners' needs, resulting in a constantly improving environment. With over 80 activities planned daily by a full-time Activity Director and recreation staff, Venture Out provides a lifestyle rich in sports, entertainment, educational opportunities, and crafting pursuits, ensuring there's always something engaging to do for every interest.

Venture Out Resort is conveniently located at 5001 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85205, USA. This East Mesa address places it along a major thoroughfare, offering straightforward access to essential services, shopping centers, and medical facilities. For residents, accessibility to and from the resort is generally good, with Main Street providing direct routes to various parts of Mesa and connecting to wider arterial roads and freeways like the US-60 and Loop 202. This allows for relatively easy travel to other East Valley cities such as Apache Junction, Gilbert, and Chandler, as well as to downtown Phoenix and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

The immediate vicinity of 5001 E Main St typically features a mix of commercial establishments and residential areas, providing convenience for daily needs. Within a short driving distance, residents can find grocery stores, pharmacies, and a variety of dining options. The location also offers access to local attractions such as the Superstition Springs Center, numerous golf courses, and various community parks. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the Superstition Mountains are visible from the area, providing a scenic backdrop and opportunities for hiking and exploring the Sonoran Desert. While the resort itself is a self-contained hub of activity, its external location ensures that residents can easily venture out to enjoy everything the vibrant Mesa area and surrounding Phoenix metropolitan region have to offer.

Venture Out Resort prides itself on an extensive array of services and facilities designed to support an active and fulfilling retirement lifestyle:

  • Multi-Million Dollar Community Center: This serves as the central hub for activities and events, featuring a beautiful ballroom overlooking the Superstition Mountains, stage, and dance floor.
  • Olympic-Sized Swimming Pools & Hot Tubs: The resort boasts two Olympic-sized swimming pools (one with a wheelchair lift) and four hot tubs, providing ample space for swimming and relaxation.
  • Health & Fitness Facilities: A well-equipped health center includes universal and free weights, with daily classes in aerobics, yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, water aerobics, and weight training.
  • Extensive Sports Courts: Residents have access to a wide variety of courts for sports, including twenty shuffleboard courts, pickleball, paddle tennis, tennis, lawn bowling, croquet, and horseshoes. There are also batting and golf driving cages and a putting green.
  • Hobby & Craft Rooms: Numerous dedicated spaces for creative pursuits, such as a sewing room with an "$8000 long arm quilting machine," woodworking shop, silversmith, lapidary, ceramics, stained glass, and woodcarving rooms.
  • Clubs and Organizations: Over 28 different clubs and organizations cater to a wide array of recreational needs, fostering social connections and shared interests.
  • On-Site Laundry Facilities: Conveniently located laundry facilities are available for residents.
  • RV Overnight Spaces: Recently renovated RV sites with 30/50 amp hookups, water, sewerage, and Wi-Fi are available for rent, providing an option for visitors or new residents.
  • Off-Leash Dog Park: A dedicated space for residents to exercise their pets.
  • Library and Computer Instruction: Facilities for reading and learning, including computer classes.
  • Social Activities & Entertainment: A packed calendar of events including live shows, dances, music on the terrace, bingo, themed parties, dinners, barbecues, and much more.

Venture Out Resort stands out with numerous features and highlights that make it a compelling choice for active adults in Arizona:

  • Property Ownership Model: Unlike many RV parks or mobile home communities, Venture Out offers deeded lot ownership. As one resident stated, it's "the only trailer park where you own your property, in the area," which provides long-term security and investment potential.
  • Vibrant Social Calendar: With "over 80 activities daily," ranging from educational classes (computer programming, gourmet cooking, language classes) to entertainment (karaoke, theatrical presentations, live concerts, dances) and table games (bingo, bridge, poker), residents have endless opportunities for engagement.
  • Diverse Sports Offerings: The sheer variety of sports, including men's and women's softball, biking, bowling, water volleyball, and specialized courts, ensures that active residents can pursue their passions.
  • Exceptional Craft & Hobby Facilities: The presence of specialized rooms, notably the state-of-the-art quilting machine, highlights the community's dedication to supporting diverse hobbies.
  • Strong Community Feel: The HOA model and extensive activity schedule foster a "small town atmosphere" where "neighbors know each other and form friendships that last through the years."
  • Well-Maintained Facilities: Reviewers often praise the "fantastic amenities" and "very good upkeep" of facilities like the pools and spas, indicating a high standard of maintenance.
  • 55+ Community: Catering exclusively to adults aged 55 and over, the resort provides an environment tailored to the interests and lifestyle of retirees.
  • Management and Staff: Governed by an elected Condominium Board of Directors and managed by a staff of over 50 employees, ensuring the smooth operation and continued improvement of the community.

Venture Out Resort, being a homeowner's association and primarily a residential community, offers a different type of "promotion" compared to a traditional hotel. Their "promotions" are more geared towards enticing new residents or providing opportunities for prospective buyers to experience the lifestyle. While direct nightly discounts like a typical hotel aren't the focus, here's what might be considered:

  • "Camp Free" Program: Venture Out Resorts (which operates this location) often offers a "Camp Free With Us" promotion. This typically allows eligible RV owners to receive a free 7-night camping stay (valued at $700) in exchange for taking a presentation tour of the facilities. Eligibility usually requires participants to be employed or retired with a combined income of $50,000 per year, aged 27 or older, own an RV, and not have toured with Venture Out Resorts in the last 24 months. Both members of a couple must be present for the 90-minute tour. This is an excellent way for prospective residents to experience the community firsthand.
  • Home Sales and Rentals: For those considering ownership, the "promotions" would be the competitive pricing and unique value proposition of owning a deeded lot within such an amenity-rich community. Real estate listings for park models and manufactured homes within Venture Out are frequently available through local real estate agents.
  • Annual Events and Seasonal Showcases: The resort hosts various events, like an annual "Home Tour," which acts as a showcase for the community and its updated homes, indirectly promoting the desirability of living there.

Interested individuals, particularly RV owners looking for a long-term or seasonal home, should visit the official Venture Out Mesa website or contact their sales office to inquire about current "Camp Free" programs or available properties for sale.

For inquiries about Venture Out Resort, its community, activities, or real estate opportunities, you can use the following contact information:

  • Address: 5001 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85205, USA
  • Phone: (480) 832-0200

Their administrative office or social club contact (sometimes with a different number like (480) 832-9000 for events) can provide more detailed information about tours, property ownership, and available recreational programs.

For Arizona locals, Venture Out Resort is an exceptionally suitable choice, especially for those in or approaching retirement who are seeking an active, community-oriented lifestyle. If you're an active adult looking to downsize, purchase a seasonal home, or simply immerse yourself in a vibrant 55+ community with an unparalleled range of amenities and social opportunities, Venture Out is designed precisely for that. The unique aspect of owning your property within this resort community offers a significant advantage over typical rental-only parks, providing long-term security and investment. From the extensive sports facilities and hobby rooms to the packed calendar of daily activities and events, this resort fosters a strong sense of belonging and provides endless ways to stay engaged and active. It's a place where you can forge lasting friendships, pursue new passions, and truly enjoy the best of Arizona living in a supportive and amenity-rich environment.

The maintenance guy Micheal has the opposite of the Midas touch, when something's wrong and you need it fixed he will somehow find a way to make it worse; we had a small leak, put in a maintenance request and ended up with a soaking wet floor
