Ace Hotel New York

Great hotel all in all. Perfect location. Historic building and lots of personality. Queen room a decent size for New York. Good value. Friendly service and always something going on in the lobby. Some things in the room could be updated (e.g carpets).

Fantastic location. The staff at the Ace are helpful and welcoming. Great ambiance, especially in the lounge! Rooms are super clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was spacious and clean, great bath products. Very fun place to stay if you are looking for a hip place close to everything in Manhattan!

Great location and nice hotel, but they charge $50 for early check-in. “Great, your room is ready [this was at 12:15pm], but it’s $50 to check in early.” No thanks, I walked around until 3pm to o avoid paying the fee. First hotel I’ve seen do this in NY. Is this standard? Came in at 8am once at The Grayson Hotel, they had no issues and had the room available. Maybe I should’ve just stayed there.

Incredibly disappointed with my recent stay at the Ace Hotel New York. Before I even arrived, the front desk answered the phone in a very aggressive manner, not even letting me speak and then leaving me on hold to never return. Experienced this during my stay too, with no one answering the front desk or housekeeping twice. The condition of the hotel has deteriorated significantly. Beat up furniture, stained carpet, crumbling grout, lights taped up with electrical tape. All 3 of the windows in our room seemed to be broken, allowing a steady breeze to come in from outside at all times. It was a cold stay. Don't bother with the "cool" amenities like the record player, ours was broken and all the records either missing or scratched up. Both elevators were a bit dirty and did not smell good. On a positive note, some of the staff I came across were fabulous - friendly bartenders who made some great cocktails and a really nice guy helping with checked luggage. Overall though, I was incredibly disappointed with this most recent stay at the Ace New York with both the property and the staff experience. I've had great experiences at Ace Hotels in the past, but I definitely will be reconsidering any future plans.

The Ace Hotel is one of a kind in the best way possible! As soon as you walk into the gorgeous lobby it feels special. The staff is extremely attentive and always available to help. They go above and beyond to make sure you are having a good experience. David, the manager, was especially impressive! The rooms are so cool and different but functional and very comfortable, Love the beds and pillows! I can’t wait to stay at Ace Hotel again!
