A quick weekend getaway was what the dr ordered! About a 5 hour drive from northern VA, my first time in that part of Pa. It’s a beautiful state, rolling hills, lovely drive up the mountain. The property is gorgeous, stately mansion built in 1908. As you can imagine with age, some exterior work is required but don’t let that deter you. Upon entry of the spacious foyer, you’re reminded of the beautiful architecture during that time. The owner, Monique Greenwood. greeted us warmly and got us checked in and straight to the room. It was on the 3rd floor, easily accessible via elevator. It was comfy, spacious, clean and neat ensuite and a small balcony with chairs. The bed slept like a dream! The breakfast and fellowship with other guests were a special time together! New friends were made and a relaxing time was had. Most of my time was spent on the property. I did explore Walmart to pick up essentials other than that? I enjoyed Noble Lane! I’m so proud of the owners and their offerings to the community. I have visited their north Philly B&B which I loved and Miss Toni took grand care of us! Next stop, Akwaaba Brooklyn!

A key aspect of the service is the personal touch provided by the owner, Monique Greenwood, who is noted for greeting guests "warmly" and efficiently handling check-ins. A standout service is the breakfast experience. Reviews highlight "The breakfast and fellowship with other guests" as "a special time together," where "new friends were made." The "beautiful architecture during that time" is a key feature that appeals to guests interested in history and aesthetics. Another significant feature, highlighted by guest reviews, is that Akwaaba Bed and Breakfast is a "Black family who owns this place." This is a unique and appreciated aspect for many guests, contributing to the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. The mention of visiting their "north Philly B&B" and "Akwaaba Brooklyn" also points to a broader, established brand with a consistent standard of hospitality. The comfort of the accommodations is a recurring theme, with the bed specifically singled out for sleeping "like a dream!" This emphasizes the quality of bedding and the overall design for restful sleep. The inclusion of an "ensuite" bathroom in the rooms offers privacy and convenience. Furthermore, the presence of a "small balcony with chairs" in some rooms provides a private outdoor space for guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. While not explicitly stated, the inherent quietness and secluded nature of the Bethany location, combined with the historical mansion, create a unique blend of heritage and tranquility, which are key features of the Akwaaba experience.

Promotional information, while not presented as explicit offers, can be inferred from the enthusiastic guest reviews and the nature of the Akwaaba brand. The consistent positive feedback serves as organic promotion. The strong sentiment of "I love the black family who owns this place and the location. It's beautiful and peaceful. It's one of my favorite destinations" acts as a powerful endorsement, attracting guests who value such attributes. The mention of Akwaaba's other properties in Philadelphia and Brooklyn suggests a well-regarded network of B&Bs, implying a consistent level of quality and hospitality across their portfolio. This cross-promotion within their own brand reinforces trust and encourages repeat visits or exploration of their other locations. The narrative of a "quick weekend getaway" being "what the dr ordered" positions Akwaaba as the perfect remedy for stress, promoting it as a destination for rejuvenation and relaxation. The emphasis on "fellowship with other guests" and "new friends were made" subtly promotes the social aspect of the B&B, appealing to those who enjoy connecting with others during their travels. Immaculate rooms and property. Attentive staff. The owner is lovely and was present when we stayed. Look forward to delicious food with beautiful presentation. I stayed with my family and we had an amazing staycation. Felt very comfortable for our first trip during Covid. They took all mandates and protocols seriously. I even used the warm and well-maintained pool!
