Upon arrival the night lady was overwhelmed but very nice about switiching our room to a double bed (which was what we booked but not sent to at first) No problem. The room itself was not clean, the counters, the TV, the faucet, the shower all were in terrible condition that after a 7 hour drive I had to clean and disinfect myself. The gathering of people in the parking lot till all hours and picnic table all day and night were disturbing and never addressed. One of the guys (who I assumed worked here) knocked on the door and before I could open it he let himself in. On top of that the day of checking out they called at 7:30 am to ask if we were checking out. I will not stay here ever again. Hire a cleaning lady or give her a raise because she doesn't give a shit about her job and it clearly shows. If I could attach pictures I would because I obviously come with proof of how nasty it was.
For local users and travelers searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with a focus on affordability and proximity to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Americas Best Value Inn Pittsburgh Airport presents itself as a budget-friendly option. Located at 8858 University Blvd, Coraopolis, PA 15108, USA, and reachable at (412) 604-2378, this hotel caters primarily to guests seeking basic accommodations and convenient airport access.
Environment and Ambiance:
Americas Best Value Inn Pittsburgh Airport is designed as a no-frills, economy hotel. Its environment is generally basic, prioritizing functionality over luxury. While the hotel aims to provide simple accommodations, several guest reviews highlight significant concerns regarding cleanliness and upkeep. Rooms have been described as "not clean," with issues like dirty counters, televisions, faucets, and showers, and overall "terrible condition" requiring guests to self-disinfect. Some reviews mention visible "disgusting" conditions. The property's ambiance can also be impacted by activity in the parking lot, with "gathering of people" at picnic tables disturbing guests at late hours, and these issues reportedly remain unaddressed by staff. The hotel's exterior and common areas reflect its budget category. While the hotel is positioned for convenience, the overall atmosphere might be more utilitarian than inviting, and prospective guests should manage their expectations regarding the aesthetic and pristine condition of the property.
Services and Amenities:
The hotel offers a selection of basic services designed to meet essential traveler needs. A key service for airport travelers is the complimentary roundtrip airport shuttle. However, numerous recent guest reviews indicate severe and consistent problems with this service, including long wait times (up to an hour), unannounced breakdowns, and unhelpful or "very rude" staff when addressing shuttle-related issues. Guests have reported resorting to taxis or ride-shares at their own expense due to shuttle unreliability, with difficulties in obtaining reimbursement. This is a crucial point for anyone relying on the shuttle. The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, and one guest mentioned a "very nice" night lady who, despite being overwhelmed, was helpful with room switching. Complimentary wired and wireless internet access is available in guest rooms and public areas, a standard amenity. The hotel provides daily housekeeping, though the effectiveness of this service has been questioned by guests. Other amenities include a vending machine. The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing pets to stay for a fee, but restrictions on pet types, weights, and the number of pets may apply. While the hotel attempts to provide basic comfort, the quality of services, particularly the shuttle and consistent room cleaning, appears to be a significant concern for past guests.
Features and Facilities:
Americas Best Value Inn Pittsburgh Airport offers fundamental facilities to support an overnight stay. Guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries. Some rooms may include a microwave and mini-refrigerator. However, the condition of these in-room features, such as the TV and faucet, has been negatively reviewed by guests. The hotel provides free self-parking on-site for guests, which is a significant advantage for those driving. Additionally, it offers long-term parking, making it an option for "Park and Fly" arrangements for extended trips. This convenience is crucial for its target audience, but guests should be aware of potential issues with retrieving their cars as highlighted in some reviews. While the hotel does not offer extensive recreational facilities like a pool or fitness center, its focus is on providing simple and affordable lodging near the airport. The property aims to be a base for travelers seeking economical rates rather than extensive amenities or luxurious comfort.
Promotional Information and Parking:
As an Americas Best Value Inn property, the hotel typically offers competitive rates, positioning itself as an affordable option for travelers. Specific promotions might include discounts for extended stays or package deals that bundle the room with long-term parking. Guests are encouraged to check the hotel's official website or contact them directly for the most current pricing and special offers. The free on-site self-parking is a definite benefit, especially for those who wish to avoid expensive airport parking fees. For "Park and Fly" options, guests should inquire about the terms and conditions, including any fees for extended parking beyond their stay. However, given the consistent negative feedback regarding the airport shuttle service, prospective guests planning to utilize "Park and Fly" should seriously consider alternative transportation to and from the airport, or be prepared for potential significant delays and communication issues. Some reviews even suggest that paying for airport parking directly might be a more reliable option than relying on the hotel's shuttle. The hotel's emphasis is on providing a low-cost solution, and guests should factor this into their expectations regarding the level of service and facilities. It is crucial to manage expectations, especially concerning the shuttle service, based on the numerous customer complaints.
Location and Nearby Attractions:
The Americas Best Value Inn Pittsburgh Airport boasts a highly convenient location for travelers flying in and out of Pittsburgh International Airport, being situated just a short distance away (approximately 3 miles or a 5-minute drive). Its address on University Blvd in Coraopolis places it within easy reach of Robert Morris University, making it a viable option for those visiting the campus (approximately 0.5 miles away). The hotel is also near various local businesses and amenities in Moon Township. While it is not in downtown Pittsburgh, its location provides quick access to the airport and the surrounding suburban area. For access to downtown Pittsburgh's attractions like PNC Park, Acrisure Stadium, and the Cultural District, guests would need to drive approximately 15-20 miles. The hotel's primary appeal lies in its immediate proximity to the airport and its affordability for those on a strict budget, serving as a practical, albeit basic, base for transient stays or for combining an overnight stay with long-term airport parking.

May 12, 2025 · CatI wish I could give zero stars. Not only was this place disgusting, but the staff is very unhelpful. After an hour wait & 3 phone calls to the hotel for our shuttle to pick us up at the airport we decided to get an Uber instead. When we got back I asked who I could contact in regards to a reimbursement or refund and they said they didn't have anyone to contact and told me I "could try googling hotel express", which I did and there is no one to contact. I am so frustrated with this whole service and would NOT RECOMMEND. Just pay the fees to park at the airport, at least you'll actually have a way to get to your car.
May 12, 2025 · Taylor FultonStaff very professional and courteous but the refrigerator dosen't get cold because the knob is missing. Will have to throw away food by morning. Other than that nothing that would not keep me from coming back. I still have a few day's left.
May 04, 2025 · Khabir AshshakurThe bed linens are old and stained. The bathroom is old and stained. The television had no signal and therefore was useless. The women at the front desk couldn't care less. The very loud man on his phone outside my room into the late hours of the night with his extremely vulgar language was no help at all. HORRIBLE MOTEL. DON'T STAY HERE. KEEP DRIVING!
May 04, 2025 · Montana RamirezHorrible!!! Do not waste your money, even at their discounted rates. Three calls to front desk, I finally had to go down, at 11pm, for our washcloths and pillows. Water spots on shower from last users. The shuttle driver was rude, drove like a maniac, and never arrived to pick us up from our return to get our car!! After almost an hour, we called Uber. Not enough staff and at 3am, a couple woke us with their fighting, slamming doors, and screaming. Stay away!!!!
