Staying here now and it’s imminently fine! I booked this through my employer’s travel agency and knew I was taking a chance because the room rates were under $200, which is usually just impossible to find. So, I was expecting that either 1) it would be okay or 2) that it would be a flop house. The rooms are tiny, but why are you coming to New York to stay in your room? There’s some basic shelving that they’ve installed with a rod you can hang coats from with a few hangers they provide. My room smells freshly painted; the walls and ceiling are bright white and one wall is old brick (also painted white; they should have left it as brick). I’m glad they’re doing maintenance but the smell is off putting to me. The lights are actually in the ceiling rather than lamps like at most hotels. I like that a lot because I like my lighting bright. The bed is comfortable and clean. The bathroom is a little weird. The door is one of those sliding barn doors, but made of plastic. There is no separate shower door from the rest of the bathroom; makes it much easier to clean for staff, I assume. There’s hot water and good water pressure, so what more do you need. It is noisy, but it’s fine—it’s New York! Also, my experience of the front desk service was good. I dropped off a back at noon and went wandering around and came back at 1 am and they had taken my bag and put it in my room for me, so that was nice. Housekeeping is *loud* though and they yell at each other (not in a mean way, just a loud way) in the hallways. No fancy lobby, no luxe furniture or amenities. A very basic room, but what more do you need when it’s well-located and relatively cheap. There’s a head-shop and a porno shop next door and a couple of doors down that I’ve seen people complaining about. Who cares? It’s a city…get over it.

Looking for budget-friendly accommodation in Midtown West near the Theater District? BeHome by LuxUrban, located at 765 8th Ave, is part of the 'Hotels Near Of Me' category. Recent guest reviews present a range of experiences, highlighting its affordability and basic nature, but also pointing out potential issues with cleanliness and noise. Travelers from Taiwan should consider these factors.

One guest, who booked through their employer's travel agency and found room rates under $200 (considered unusually low for the area), described their stay as "imminently fine." They acknowledged that the rooms are "tiny" but questioned the need to spend much time in the room while visiting New York. The rooms offer basic shelving and a hanging rod. This guest noted a fresh paint smell and liked the bright ceiling lighting. They found the bed comfortable and clean. The bathroom had a plastic sliding barn door and no separate shower door, which they saw as potentially easier for cleaning. They reported good hot water and water pressure. While acknowledging that it is noisy (which they deemed typical for New York), they had a positive experience with the front desk service, who even placed their dropped-off bag in their room before their late check-in. They did mention that housekeeping could be loud in the hallways.

This same guest described the hotel as having "no fancy lobby, no luxe furniture or amenities," offering a "very basic room" that they found sufficient given the well-located and relatively cheap price. They dismissed complaints about a head-shop and porno shop nearby as being part of the city environment.

However, another guest had a significantly different experience upon arrival around 3 PM, finding their room in a "complete mess" that had not been cleaned after the previous guests. They had to call housekeeping and wait approximately 30 minutes for the issue to be addressed, noting that the housekeeping staff was already leaving the hotel when they went to request service. This guest also reported an overflowing trash can in the lounge that employees were not addressing and unprofessional behavior from employees leaving the lounge bathroom door wide open.

The provided reviews offer limited information about other services or features. One review mentions a basic room and a lounge where issues were observed. There is no mention of amenities like breakfast, a gym, or business facilities.

The provided reviews do not contain information about specific promotional offers at the time of these stays. For direct bookings or inquiries about potential promotions, travelers from Taiwan can contact BeHome by LuxUrban at +1 646-469-7233 (international dialing from Taiwan would require preceding with Taiwan's international access code). For the most up-to-date information on offers, it is recommended to check the hotel's official website or your preferred booking platform.

In conclusion, BeHome by LuxUrban offers a budget-friendly option in a convenient location. However, potential guests from Taiwan should be aware of reports of very small rooms, potential noise issues, and inconsistent cleanliness and service, as indicated by recent guest feedback. Weighing the lower price against these potential drawbacks is advisable.

When we arrived at the room around 3 PM, it was in a complete mess. It hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests checked out. We had to call housekeeping, and it took about 30 minutes for them to address the situation. In fact, the housekeeping staff was already leaving the hotel when we went down to request cleaning. Additionally, there was a trash can in the lounge overflowing, far beyond its capacity, yet no employees seemed to be addressing it. To make matters worse, employees using the lounge bathroom were leaving the door wide open as if they were in their own homes.

Do not book here, the rooms are the size of jail cells, the bathroom has no door and is so small your legs are in the shower while you use the toliet. The bed mattress was dirty and ripped up with no fitted sheets on it. They only give you two pillows that are as thin as paper. When we arrived they didn’t have enough key cards to give us so someone had to escort us everytime we wanted to enter the room. All you have to say is your room number and they let you into that room. Your belongings are not safe here! They didn’t check Id or even ask for a name to be let into a room. From whatt seemed like is most of the guests didn’t have key cards. We were booked for two nights but stayed one out of desperation and just left after that night and cut our trip early, didn’t even try to bother argueing for a refund with scammers. Stay as far away from this place as possible coulda stayed at a 50 dollar a night hostel for there setup and service

This place is nothing like the listing online; they are highly edited and inaccurate. Scam artists. My first review was mysteriously deleted so I’m reposting. Here are the highlights: -no elevator -no keys to your room -no security; since you have to be let in to your room a stranger off the street can walk in and say hey, I’m a guest in room X and then steal you belongings. The “safe” in our room was able to be lifted out of the compartment it was in and taken from the room -no fitted sheet so the broken mattress is exposed. So unsanitary and gross. Asked for a replacement sheet and was given another flat sheet with stains on it -one window showing a dark alley and a family of pigeons that won’t shut up -stifling heat that you can’t adjust the temperature -being locked on the street at 1 am because you don’t have a key to get into the “lobby” -no hand soap -no real door on the bathroom; a sliding plastic clear one -a shower with no door that floods the whole bathroom -a scam charge for $150 on your card for “damages you might incur” - a “comforter” that is 1mm thick -staff that gaslights you and makes false promises like “I’ll look into that” etc and does nothing. We were booked for 2 nights but left after one. I guess hotels.com doesn’t care about their customers or their reputation since they do business with this sketchy “hotel”.
