Best Western Gregory Hotel

Rude and unfriendly staff. Was giving a room that was being worked on, had to go back downstairs and was giving another room. None stop working in the hallway and elevator. Pieces of whatever they were working on all over the floor. Breakfast was non editable. We went to the 5th Ave deli every morning. Free Breakfast would have been nice. We were on the 3rd floor. You can hear and feel the vibration from the train below us. Will not stay here again.

I am posting this review with the opinion that if management finally do its job, it can improve. I have stayed at that hotel 2 times. First time in march 2024. There was no issue. The stay was great 5/5. Second time was a year later from march 22 to march 26 and the story is different. First the hotel is being remodeled. So they put us on the first floor. Great, no issue. Except when we came back the first evening, there was a party going on in the basement just under us. The noise was unbarable. They moved us to the 4th floor (with a broken elevator and we had to carry out bags). We spent 2 nights in that room and I saw the management to have a gesture from them because walking up that many floors is not easy. And he informed us he had to move us again. He wanted to give us a suite but we needed 2 beds so ok. We were moved to the 3rd floor. The GM told me I would get a compensation for all those troubles in points. Now, 2 weeks later, I am waiting. I called them (from France so it's not cheap) and they say "yes you have a 50$ voucher". I never recieved it. They said they would be in touch, I am waiting!!!

Reserved for one night but extended for another night. Very convenient location, close to subway and a numerous good restaurants. No on site parking, but 3 blocks away from the municipal parking garage. The building is old but our room was clean and quite (away from the main street), and the breakfast dining hall is spacious. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Disappointing Stay, Rude Staff, and Unprofessional Behavior I recently stayed at the Best Western in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The most significant issue was the unprofessional and rude behavior of the front desk staff. I attempted to extend my stay by three days, having already reserved and paid for the initial stay online. The female staff member insisted that I pay again, despite my explanations. To further escalate the situation, the lady then threw my room key onto the front desk in a disrespectful manner. When I expressed my confusion, a male staff member (who claimed to be the manager) intervened aggressively, stating that I was speaking to her disrespectfully and threatening to cancel my reservation and call the police. This escalated unnecessarily, and I felt intimidated and disrespected. The entire interaction was unprofessional and unacceptable. The manager's behavior was particularly appalling, and his threats were unwarranted and intimidating. To verify my account of the events, I request that Best Western management review the security camera footage from Friday, February 14th, at approximately 12:30 PM. This footage will clearly show the unprofessional conduct of the staff and the inaccurate accusations made against me. I strongly advise potential guests to consider other accommodations in the area.

Conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and subway. The rooms are mid-size by New York standards. The lobby and the breakfast area are close to each other. There's one elevator. The hallway to our room needs an upgrade grade. The carpet looks worn and had a musty smell. The room was much better but could do with an upgrade. The bed was somewhat soft, and the shower, which was reasonably big, had a leak at the base. Room service was quite good. Breakfast was mediocre. Budget friendly hotel.
