The Vue Express @ 39th Street

I wish I could do zero stars. Between mystery body fluids staining the mattress, long dark hair everywhere( I have short blonde) and just dirty rooms this hotel should be shut down. Makes me wonder when the last time a health inspector was there?! This seemed more like a pay the hour hotel.

I was in search for a last minute hotel due to the deaf of a love one. Found this place at a reasonable price. I would have been better SLEEPING IN MY VEHICLE This was the worst hotel or whatever they would classify itself as. The place only had 3 PARKING SPACES. They didn't have ironing boards and had to iron on the bed. Shower was small and they didn't provide any washcloths. TV worked on every station, but I couldn't hear the basketball games on TNT, because the sound for that station didn't work. I called down to the front desk and asked for someone to see about fixing the issue since I wanted to watch the basketball games. He came and tried everything and changed the channels and told me that "It was the only channel that wasn't working". In other words, watch something else! I asked about getting a new room or a reduction in my room. He said he would talk with management. The morning as I was checking out, I noticed something on the nightstand. The furniture was brown so I did pay a lot of attention to it. As I was moving stuff around I saw something else moving. THE PLACE HAD ROACHES RUNNING ON THE NIGHTSTAND. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth, I dropped something on the floor. So I close the door to pick it up. On the back of the door, there were several names painted and scratched into the door like a dirty old style bathroom. I go to the office, which is in the basement to ask about getting my bill reduced and get a copy. I was informed that since I booked through Expedia, I would not get a copy of my bill. Nor would I get a reduced bill due to all the mishaps of such a POORLY RUN hotel.

Everyone experience seems to be different...I had no problem staying at The Vue Express...I admit I went to the wrong address at 1st (it's another place called The Vue-its a shelter) but once here I felt safe and comfortable. This is not a fancy high-tech hotel....but clean and comfortable! Rooms are small but that's NY, housekeeping busy and nice! Manager/staff were helpful and nice! Stores around, very hilly and busy neighborhood...I enjoyed my stay!!

Very small room, two beds & a bathroom ~ that’s it. Floors were dirty. The gentleman at the desk let us park in his spot after his pm shift because the tiny area for parking only allows two cars! Rats right outside the hotel, roaches inside around the food area. I booked US TWO NIGHTS BUT DIDNT STAY THE SECOND NIGHT. NEVER AGAIN

I did not stay at this place but I needed a room last minute for myself and I called to check the availability, cause their price was reasonable, the staff did not answer his phone with any manner and he told me to call back when I am 5minutes away. It was late and I took Uber to get there. What I heard when I called him back, he said that someone else took the last room and it’s not available anymore. This was the worst experience out of all hotels I have dealt with and I would never ever even try to stay at this place. This kind of customer service would be a great way to judge what kind of hotel you were trying to stay and I would say this one is the absolute no.
