I booked a king size bed room for two nights in this downtown hotel based on it being rated 4-stars among other common reasons, such as the cost staying in it and its proximity in relation to an event my wife and I attended. We were surprised by how tiny the room size was and frankly disappointed by it, yet it was clean and comprised of a nice bathroom. So that you'd have a perspective of the room size, its width does not extend beyond the bed and its side cabinets. On one side the cabinet butts against the bathroom wall, and on the other side against the window wall. Hence there is merely a cabinet width path on both sides of the bed, and similarly in front of it, between it and a desk. It was a challenge to decide where to lay down our suitcases. The bed mattress however felt good and comfortable, and we thought was a good quality. Considering the size of the room, which I by the way were told is one of the hotel nicest (#501), the hotel's 4-stars rating is exaggerated in my view, yet I'm not an expert in this field. I regret not having taken pictures.

Apr 10, 2025 · Gideon KeidarThis is the only hotel I have stayed in that charges a nightly environmental fee....and they are not even transparent about it. The only way you know about this is if you read the fine print of the document they make you sign during check in. But, when asked about it during the check in, they lie to you and say that it is already included in the price you paid. I only found out about the charge a week later when they deducted an additional $10 per night I stayed in the hotel. To make matters worse, they are not contactable via any of the emails that they have on their website or via any third party booking sites (Agoda etc) to confirm if the charge was due to the environmental fee.
Apr 09, 2025 · Aaron AngI do not know how this place has good reviews. The 2 bed rooms are very small. I asked about room service, they said they had it, they didn't. The mini shampoo and conditioner bottles in the rooms are filled up from a larger container. Ours had shampoo all over the outside of the bottle. The $15 breakfast consist of the usual waffles that were good (DIY), pancakes (DIY) apples, muffins, yogurts. Not bad. The coffee machine that has pictures of a lot of great drinks you think you can have serves only coffee. For an extra $5 you can get fake eggs and 2 sausage. We did meet one very nice guy working at the bar on the 2-12-25. I believe he was filling in for someone else. He was the best thing about this whole experience. Very pleasant young man and very knowledgeable about the neighborhood. I will not stay here again and how they are keeping that 1 employee is beyond me. Please don't waste your money. It's not like the pictures. Our view.
Feb 19, 2025 · Person NscI don’t write many reviews, but had to put out a quick one for this little gem of a hotel. I wasn’t expecting it to be what it was, given the price that I paid, however, it was so much more. The rooms are modern and clean. The glass bathroom was beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. When we woke up there was a breakfast area that I had at first thought would be just a basic grab and go type situation, but there is an attendant there that made us fresh eggs and bacon. Overall I give this hotel 10 out of 10.
Nov 18, 2024 · Wendy MazerConvenient location about a 7-minute walk from 36th St. subway, which has an easy connection to Manhattan. Clean, up-to-date rooms, albeit a little small. Had a great view of the skyline from 5th floor. Courteous service and quick check-out process. My only main complaint was that the walls are a bit thin, I could hear a good bit of noise from the hallway. Other than that, would definitely recommend if you're staying in this area.
