This is not a hotel for travelers looking for a quiet place to stay to get a good night's rest. The walls and floors provide no sound buffer and there were guests with children who screamed and ran up and down the hallways all night long until the early morning hours. The running sounded like loud pounding from the rooms of other guests, including rooms on the lower floors. The hotel has no quiet hours and does not enforce a noise policy so stay at your own risk.
For individuals and families exploring options under "Hotels Near Of Me" in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the Best Western Plus Hershey, located at 1800 E Chocolate Ave, Hershey, PA 17033, USA, is a property that warrants consideration. Accessible by phone at (717) 745-2378 or mobile at +1 717-745-2378, this hotel, as part of the Best Western Plus brand, typically aims to offer enhanced amenities and services beyond a standard Best Western. However, recent guest feedback provides a more detailed and objective picture of what potential visitors can expect from their stay.
The environment of the Best Western Plus Hershey, situated on East Chocolate Avenue, suggests a location that offers reasonable proximity to Hershey's main attractions, while potentially being slightly removed from the immediate hustle and bustle of the downtown core. The external appearance and general ambiance of a Best Western Plus usually project a modern and inviting feel, aiming for a step up in quality and comfort. However, the internal environment, particularly concerning noise levels, has been a significant point of concern for some guests. Reviews explicitly state that "The walls and floors provide no sound buffer," leading to considerable noise disturbances from other guests, including "children who screamed and ran up and down the hallways all night long until the early morning hours." The impact of this lack of sound insulation means that "The running sounded like loud pounding from the rooms of other guests, including rooms on the lower floors." This suggests that the hotel's physical structure may not be conducive to a quiet environment, which is a crucial factor for travelers seeking a good night's rest. The absence of "quiet hours" or a policy enforcement further contributes to this challenging acoustic environment, which is a vital aspect for those searching for a peaceful "Hotels Near Of Me" option. While some guests might find it "quiet" at certain times, the potential for significant noise should be a consideration.
In terms of services, the Best Western Plus Hershey would typically offer standard hotel provisions, such as a front desk for check-in and assistance. However, the efficacy of certain services, particularly housekeeping and noise management, has been questioned by recent guests. Regarding housekeeping, observations such as "rather large dust-bunnies containing quite a bit of dark curly hair both underneath the desk and behind the bathroom door," and an "ice bucket (which is inexplicably kept in the bathroom) had a thick layer of dust on it," indicate that cleanliness standards may "left a lot to be desired." This suggests inconsistencies in the thoroughness of daily cleaning. Furthermore, a significant service omission noted is the lack of "no quiet hours" and the hotel's apparent failure to "enforce a noise policy." This absence of proactive noise management directly impacts guest comfort and implies a lack of responsive service in addressing disturbances, which can be a critical factor for visitors seeking a restful "Hotels Near Of Me" experience. While the individual staff at the front desk may be polite, as suggested by general expectations for a Best Western, the systemic issues regarding noise control and cleaning are points of concern for service quality.
The features of the Best Western Plus Hershey aim to provide guests with typical modern hotel amenities. Rooms are expected to include comfortable beds, private bathrooms, and a television. However, guest feedback indicates that the televisions are "not a smart TV," leaving guests "stuck with basic cable unless you bring a laptop or tablet." This limitation in entertainment options might be a drawback for those accustomed to streaming services. Connectivity is provided through "WiFi," but a significant concern is that it is "not secure and requires no PW," prompting a warning against connecting "any device that stores your sensitive information." This lack of a secure network is a substantial issue for privacy and data security in a contemporary hotel setting. While "the towels are nice," which is a small positive detail, the overall impression of in-room features is overshadowed by the lack of smart TVs and, more critically, the insecure Wi-Fi. A Best Western Plus property typically offers additional features like an indoor pool, fitness center, or complimentary breakfast, but these specific features are not detailed in the provided customer reviews. If present, their functionality and maintenance would be important to consider in light of other observed issues. The property's main feature, as with many "Hotels Near Of Me," remains its geographic location relative to Hershey attractions.
Regarding promotional information, the Best Western Plus Hershey, being part of a well-known brand, likely participates in the Best Western Rewards loyalty program, offering points for stays and potential member-exclusive rates. This acts as an ongoing promotion for repeat customers. The hotel's pricing is noted as being "for the price I guess its fine," suggesting that it positions itself as a moderately priced option. However, given the issues raised in reviews, potential guests should carefully weigh the price against the reported quality of the stay. While Best Western Plus hotels generally promote a higher standard of comfort and amenities, the specific feedback from this Hershey location suggests that guests should manage their expectations regarding noise levels and certain aspects of cleanliness and digital security. Any promotions, such as discounted rates or package deals, would typically be found on the Best Western website or through various online travel agencies. For those searching "Hotels Near Of Me," the key promotional message for this specific property would revolve around its brand recognition and potentially competitive pricing, but it's crucial for prospective visitors to factor in the candid feedback about soundproofing, Wi-Fi security, and housekeeping when making their decision. The overall value proposition is influenced by the trade-off between price and potential discomfort caused by noise and cleanliness issues.

May 06, 2025 · J UThere were rather large dust-bunnies containing quite a bit of dark curly hair both underneath the desk and behind the bathroom door, additionally the ice bucket (which is inexplicably kept in the bathroom) had a thick layer of dust on it - so housekeeping definitely left a lot to be desired. There isn’t a smart TV so you’re stuck with basic cable unless you bring a laptop or tablet, however the WiFi is not secure and requires no PW - so I would not connect to it from any device that stores your sensitive information. It was quiet, the towels are nice, and for the price I guess its fine.
Jan 04, 2025 · CaGirl93003We are staying at the red roof inn which is apparently ran by the best Western in the same parking lot. We ordered door dash and they delivered it to the best Western instead of the red roof inn. The cleaning crew decided to eat the food instead of taking it to the front desk and then the manager told us too bad there was nothing they would do about it 🤷♀️. It was $80 worth of food after a 13 hour drive and their response was deal with it? Shit customer service and employees I wanted to come back and edit this since the manager came to our room and apologized and gave us 50$ in cash (since doordash refused to refund our money because they had pictures of delivery even tho it was the wrong building) She also told us that they were going to start implementing a rule where all deliveries have to be dropped at the front desk to stop this from happening again. situation still sucked but we appreciated the customer service and hopefully this change helps in the future.

Mar 14, 2025 · Jason DubowitchWe came here for impromptu stay in the 14th, I was more than pleased with their service and accommodation. We got a double bed room as it was the only one avaibake but the beds and room were great and super clean. The staff is really nice and helps u out. The highlight of the stay would definitely be the pool and the rooms and the service. The breakfast was decent too. Special shoutout the front desk attendants Kortney, Kaityln and Jess.
