The rooms are mediocre basic needs so cannot complain. Fridge keeps food ice cold. I can’t speak for everyone but my toliet didn't work and the Ice machine doesn’t work at all. For 80$ for 1 night I had higher expectations to what they had to offer. In the middle of a decent amount of restaurants and I few markets cannot complain there.
For local users and travelers searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, the Knights Inn Palmyra, located at 1071 E Main St, Palmyra, PA 17078, USA, might appear as a budget-friendly option. Accessible by phone at (717) 838-1324 or mobile at +1 717-838-1324, this hotel falls into the economy segment, typically aiming to provide basic accommodation. However, a comprehensive and objective review of recent guest experiences reveals significant concerns that prospective visitors should carefully consider before booking.
The environment of the Knights Inn Palmyra, situated on East Main Street, suggests a location that offers practical access to local amenities. Guests have noted that it is "in the middle of a decent amount of restaurants and a few markets," indicating convenience for dining and basic shopping needs, which can be a positive for those looking for "Hotels Near Of Me" with local access. However, the internal environment of the hotel, particularly the condition of the rooms, is a major point of contention and concern, according to multiple recent reviews. Descriptions like "unclean, unkept, and unsafe" paint a stark picture. A critical issue highlighted is the presence of "mold growing on the walls," specifically "Fuzzy mold resembling caterpillars," which indicates severe neglect and potential health hazards. This contradicts any expectation of a clean or healthy living environment. The discrepancy between the actual condition and online representations is also noted, with rooms being "nothing like what the pictures show online." This suggests that the visual environment portrayed may be misleading. Therefore, while the external location offers some convenience, the internal environment, as described by guests, appears to be significantly compromised, creating an atmosphere that is far from inviting or comfortable, and potentially hazardous.
Regarding services, the Knights Inn Palmyra is expected to offer basic front desk assistance, but the provided reviews highlight severe deficiencies in service quality, particularly concerning guest satisfaction and problem resolution. A guest reported that their "toilet didn't work" and the "Ice machine doesn’t work at all," indicating failures in fundamental room and common area services. More critically, when a guest "refused stay" due to the appalling room conditions, the "Hotel refused refund," and the "hotel owners are completely unreasonable." This reflects a significant lack of responsiveness, customer care, and accountability, which are core aspects of hotel service. The severe cleanliness issues, including mold, suggest that essential housekeeping services are either lacking or entirely insufficient. The overall impression of service, based on this feedback, is one of indifference and an unwillingness to address serious guest concerns or provide appropriate resolution for unacceptable conditions. Such a lack of service responsibility makes it a very risky choice for anyone searching for reliable "Hotels Near Of Me."
The features of the Knights Inn Palmyra, as described by guests, primarily cover very basic room amenities, but even these appear to be inconsistent in their functionality. Guests mention "basic needs" being met, such as a "Fridge keeps food ice cold," which is a functional positive. However, a significant malfunction noted is a non-working "toilet" in one room, and a non-functional "Ice machine" in a common area. These are fundamental features expected in any hotel, regardless of its price point. The most alarming feature, or lack thereof, is the cleanliness and safety of the rooms. The presence of "mold growing on the walls" makes the rooms "unclean, unkept, and unsafe," which fundamentally undermines any other basic features the room might offer. The expectation of "basic needs" being met is challenged by these severe deficiencies. While the hotel is in proximity to "restaurants and a few markets," this external convenience does not compensate for the critical internal failures. For the price point, one guest "had higher expectations to what they had to offer," which clearly were not met. The features, as presented by guests, highlight serious issues that compromise guest comfort, hygiene, and safety, making it difficult to objectively recommend this property based on its reported condition.
Promotional information for the Knights Inn Palmyra, while not directly stated in the provided reviews, would typically focus on its affordability as a budget-friendly option in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. The price of "$80 for 1 night" was mentioned by a guest, indicating its positioning at the lower end of the market. However, the overwhelming negativity in the customer reviews effectively acts as a counter-promotion, strongly discouraging potential guests. Phrases like "This place is an absolute nightmare. Do not stay here," and warnings not to "subject your family to such," are powerful deterrents. The suggestion that the "hotel needs to be looked into by the local department of health" further highlights the severity of the reported issues. While economy hotels often attract guests through low prices, the presence of critical health and safety concerns, combined with a refusal to issue refunds for uninhabitable rooms, severely impacts any positive promotional messaging. For those considering this hotel based on price or general "Hotels Near Of Me" search results, it is imperative to take these serious warnings into account. The perceived savings are clearly outweighed by the significant risks to comfort, health, and safety, making any promotional efforts by the hotel itself questionable in light of current guest experiences.

Nov 03, 2024 · Peter FarleyWe stayed here for a concert at Hershey Stadium, the location was perfect and within 10-15 mins on the venue. Everything else close by was double the price so since we were only going to be in the room for about 8 hrs after the concert we took the chance. The grounds were nice and pool looked well maintained, the rooms were not updated like in the pictures online and had older furniture and the rugs were in bad need of replacement. The hotel is right on the main rd and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes of the motel which was a plus. Since we didn’t have very high expectations we were ok with what we found but if we were staying for a longer time we would have voiced our concerns. If you are on a budget and want to stay as close to Hershey as you can this is a solid booking but is definitely in need of updates.
Aug 04, 2024 · Marc BattistelliThe old description was a little misleading. The rooms have been downgraded from what they used to be. There are no sofas. There is no box of tissues. It's a very basic operation at this point. That being said the rooms were clean and everything functioned.
Sep 30, 2024 · Harry BStayed here last night after going to a concert in Hershey, and found a bed bug on the comforter upon arriving back after the show. Searched the entire room and pulled out the furniture etc and found another bed bug, various other dead bugs around the perimeter of the room, a chicken sandwich wrapper, and a very large lighter. Also found a mark that appeared to be dried blood on the wall. Pulled another, smaller bed bug off of my shirt later. Was entirely grossed out. EDIT - Since there is no way for me to reply directly to your comment (owner) or message you in private, I can ASSURE you this is a review for the correct place. 1071 E Main Street Palmyra, PA. We were in room 210. The initials of the name the room was registered under are NB. Hope that helps. EDIT PART 2 - These pictures are from inside of your hotel. I’m not sure what you’re trying to accomplish by involving your attorney. It’s an honest review, and you can clearly see that the carpet and furniture match the inside of your hotel room. Nice try.
