We recently stayed at Blue Ridge Tourist Court and our stay was fantastic. The entire motel has been renovated & restored. The entire motel is immaculately clean & we loved the personal touches and the “snack room” with the fireplace. The location cannot be beat as the hotel has a stop on AppalCart (free bus route around town & App State) AND is walking distance to Booneshine Brewing Company. We have traditionally stayed at a cabin but I think we’ve found a new place to stay when we visit Boone.

May 10, 2025 · Sandi CannonMy wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this delightful hotel. The owners did a fantastic job with every mid-century detail, from the happy colors to the furniture and fixtures. And everything was immaculately clean! The location is just a minute outside Boone and App State, so convenient to seeing our son who’s a student here. We’ve stayed at all the chain hotels in the area, and this is vastly superior! We won’t stay anywhere else on our future visits. We give 5 wholehearted stars!
Feb 02, 2025 · Paul PhillipsThis family-owned hotel is well-maintained, with thoughtfully curated rooms that feel cozy and inviting. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—one of the best I’ve ever slept in. The owners were responsive and accommodating, making the stay smooth and enjoyable. Sleeping well while traveling for work is usually a pipe dream, but this place changed that. Whenever I’m in Boone for business, I’ll be staying here!
