The beach is absolutely beautiful and the property was quiet but once you get into the room, the floors are worn out and rather shaky even on the first floor. We were constantly affronted by loose tiles or cracked tiles that would pop up when you walk on them so definitely watch your toes getting out of the shower or walking in the bathroom if you don’t wanna slip or stub your toe. The beds were super comfortable though. Our A/C kept going on the fritz as well so it would get really warm and you have to work the thermostat to get it cooled back down

However, some guests have reported issues with room maintenance, specifically "worn out and rather shaky floors" and "loose or cracked tiles" in the bathroom, which can be a tripping hazard. There have also been mentions of inconsistent air conditioning functionality, requiring manual adjustment of the thermostat. It is important to note that the resort does not have elevators, which could be a consideration for guests with mobility challenges, as they would need to use stairs to access upper floors. This layout is particularly appealing for families or extended stays. The resort is highly "kid friendly," making it an excellent choice for family vacations, with activities and amenities designed to keep younger guests entertained. The combination of indoor and outdoor pools, along with the hot tub, ensures year-round swimming and relaxation opportunities. While not explicitly detailed, resorts of this type often have a focus on creating a communal and engaging atmosphere, which can include resort-organized activities or events (though not specifically mentioned in the provided text). Given its affiliation with Ascend Resort Collection, it suggests a unique, upscale, and locally inspired experience. The property also features a fitness center and a picnic area with barbecue grills, adding to the recreational options. The absence of elevators is a key structural feature that guests should be aware of, particularly when requesting specific room locations.

May 12, 2025 · Matthew BreauxI vacation here at least once a year. They have a indoor and outdoor pool. Outdoor hot tub is also accessible. Beach is just steps away. Very kid friendly and free coffee in the mornings located in the main lobby is a plus. There are no elevators.
Jan 16, 2025 · Keke ButterfieldGreat ocean view from certain rooms. We felt bad for the people who had a view of the pool building. The property was clean with easy access to the beach. Our room was a little outdated, but comfortable. There is not a stove or oven, which was a little inconvenient. But it gave us a chance to enjoy the great restaurants in the area. We stayed at the end of the season, so some area amenities were already closed. The firepit was so much fun to sit around and meet new people. All in all, it was a great week and we'd definitely go back.

I’m a financial planner - CFP®️practitioner - with a focus on retirement wealth strategies, primarily serving business women and LGBTQ individuals. #VirtualPlanningCraftedWithCare®️) I’ve stayed here twice with my family. My review reflects both visits. First, the property is in a beautiful beachfront location. It’s all very well maintained and the staff are attentive and friendly. The two rooms I stayed in with my family were very different for each of my stays, and in different buildings, but both appeared well maintained. My first visit a year ago was a 5 star stay. We were in a two bedroom suite, it had a spacious full kitchen with dining table and chairs, 2 full bathrooms, and a living room space for lounging. There was also great internet access, making it suitable for all ages and everyone’s web access needs. We loved it so much that we returned this year, this time two weeks earlier. We got a different room due to less availability. This time it was a one bed with kitchenette and facing the water in a building father from the main area. Unfortunately this room/experience gets a 3 rating. The kitchenette was tiny, but worse, there wasn’t anything more than a couch and coffee table to eat at. Not sure how that’s supposed to work, even on vacation. Then we had zero internet access in that building. Hard when it winter time and the tv only allows for basic cable. The bigger issue is that if you’re planning to do any work from here, like I was, you simply can’t if you need to be connected. And anyone with medical devices that need to be connected, this won’t work for you either. In short, I found the first stay awesome. My second one was too costly for what amounted to a hotel experience. However, if you plan in advance, see the room first and pay full prices, you may get something better suited. I booked through my RCI vacation membership so that was a gamble. Either way, it highlights that not all rooms are what you see in the pictures. Moral of the story, planning ahead in great detail is essential for most things if you want the best experience.
