It was really nice except the mattress were terrible. The location was amazing. The owner of our cottage had a ring doorbell installed and it was very uncomfortable sitting outside was not private. We have stayed at Glendon Beach cottages before and never had any problems before. The property management company is excellent and very helpful. Also no ring doorbells on the rest of the cottages. We will definitely stay again just not this particular cottage.

This offers an unparalleled sense of convenience for beach lovers, eliminating the need for long commutes or complicated parking. This level of responsiveness contributes significantly to a positive guest experience.
Many of the cottages are well-equipped with features designed for a relaxing stay. For example, one spacious cottage boasts beds for at least 10 people, including a mix of queen, king, twin, and bunk beds, along with cribs and extra air mattresses, making it ideal for larger families or groups. Cooking facilities are generally comprehensive, with full kitchens in some units and kitchenettes in others, providing the option for guests to prepare their own meals. Appliances typically include coffee makers, refrigerators, microwaves, ovens, and stoves. For added comfort, some cottages feature whirlpool tubs, both off master suites and in private rooms, offering a luxurious touch. Outdoor amenities often include propane grills, tables and chairs for al fresco dining, and even foldable beach chairs and beach gear in sheds, making beach outings effortless.
The distinguishing feature of Glendon Beach Cottages lies in their nature as individual vacation rental cottages rather than a single large hotel building. This provides a unique sense of privacy and space that traditional hotels often cannot match. While the cottages are part of a resort-like community, they maintain their independent charm. Some cottages may have specific characteristics, as noted in customer feedback, such as the presence of a "ring doorbell" in one particular cottage which a guest found uncomfortable due to perceived lack of privacy. However, it's reassuring to know that this is not a universal feature across all cottages and the property management is noted for their proactive support. The diversity in cottage layouts and sizes allows for various group configurations, from smaller families to larger gatherings, ensuring there's a suitable option for different needs. The overall decor leans towards a comfortable, traditional Cape Cod style, creating a welcoming and relaxed ambiance. Many cottages also boast the advantage of a short, easy walk to the beach with no stairs, a significant convenience for all ages. Some even offer ocean views from their porches or living spaces, adding to the allure of a seaside escape.
Glendon Beach Cottages offer an excellent base for exploring the wider Cape Cod area. Their prime location means Glendon Road Beach is literally steps away, but other popular Dennis beaches like Haigis Beach and Sea Street Beach are also within a mile. The surrounding neighborhood is scenic and walkable, with a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops easily accessible. For dining, guests can find various options within walking distance, including the popular Sailing Cow, which offers food, music, and beach-style cocktails, and other local favorites like The Oyster Company, Sundae School (for ice cream), and Clancy's Restaurant. The convenience of having dining and entertainment options nearby enhances the resort experience.
Beyond the immediate beach access and dining, Dennis Port and the broader Dennis area offer a wealth of attractions. Nature enthusiasts can explore Plashes Conservation Land for hiking trails or enjoy the scenic Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking. Swan Pond River is also nearby for kayaking and canoeing. For cultural experiences, the Cape Cod Museum of Art and the historic Cape Playhouse are within a short drive. Families can enjoy attractions like the Cape Cod Water and Inflatable Park or Pirate Cove Mini Golf Course. The central location in Dennis also makes it a perfect launching point for day trips to other parts of Cape Cod, including the Cape Cod National Seashore, Provincetown, or ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
