Stayed a Friday and Saturday night. Host very friendly upon arrival and walked me though the property. Be advised that this is not a traditional hotel, but a rehabilitated house on a mostly residential street. My room was furnished with reclaimed vintage waredrobe and desk/table. Spacious common areas with a variety of board games and books avaliable. Large back yard with giant hot tube. Bed and bedding were very comfortable, and robe and slippers provided. The towels are fantastic, we will see if they all get stolen (yep, they are that nice!). It's right behind the Roosevelt inaugural site, and walking distance to either Allen Street or Chippewa restaurants and entertainment, and theatre district. The little details and amenities stand out as to the care and thought that went into this project. Enjoy!

May 20, 2025 · J. McGrathI absolutely loved my recent stay at the Buffalo Guesthouse! Check in was easy and my room and bed were very comfortable. Before turning in, my friend and I played chess in the game room, while sipping wine and enjoying the beautiful architecture of the building. I awoke to freshly brewed coffee and delicious egg bites. It was nice chatting with other guests at the large dining table. Before checking out, I tried the beautiful new hot tub, which felt incredible on a crisp Buffalo morning. The staff is super friendly and I even received a nice tour of the property. I highly recommend the Buffalo Guesthouse. Tell your friends! Support local businesses!
May 23, 2025 · Jennie TylecFrom the moment I walked in, I was greeted and welcomed. (thank you Maria) The building is beautiful and the interior is comfortable and well furnished with comfy recliners on the screened in patio. I booked a small room and it was clean and perfect. The bed and pillows were dreamy. I took a walk down to Nietzies and really enjoyed the small business vibe everwhere. There was a fridge in my room so I picked up sandwich and played some games with folks in the common area. Ill be back. Great stay for sure!
May 23, 2025 · Gettin late 2Buffalo Guesthouse is, without a doubt, the best place I’ve ever stayed. I traveled to Buffalo for a friend’s event and needed accommodations for just one night — this spot had the perfect combination of great pricing and an unbeatable location. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, even giving us a warm welcome tour since we were among their first guests. Although we forgot to pack swimsuits, the large hot tub looked amazing — definitely something to enjoy on a return trip. A friend of ours decided to join last-minute, and despite the unexpected booking, the hosts went above and beyond to make it work. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious complimentary breakfast while chatting with the owner, who shared the story of the renovations he had personally done. His care and craftsmanship really show throughout the space. The atmosphere is truly special — a thoughtful blend of old charm and modern touches. The decor is beautiful, the space is cozy and inviting, and the layout (including a fun maze of well-labeled hallways) adds character. Be sure to find the “Buffalo staircase” with its stunning stained glass windows — it’s a highlight. Another major bonus: the location is incredibly walkable. We had no trouble strolling to bars, restaurants, and even the original home of the Buffalo wing — all just minutes away. Even though I have no plans to return to Buffalo, I’d consider coming back just to enjoy this charming getaway again. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay!
