Stayed at Canopy for a staycation. Valet staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Check-in was easy and staff was also friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed. The balcony is a very nice touch. The room was clean and has all that a hotel room would need. The walls are thin as I can hear the conversation next door pretty clearly and they weren’t talking loud. The location is excellent. Walkable to several restaurants within a 10 minute distance (Harbor East neighborhood). Area felt safe and allowed for a nice stroll. Our roommate included breakfast and on checkout day we were looking to order room service from the restaurant within the hotel, Cindy Lou’s Fish House. I had trouble connecting to the front desk via the in-room phone so I used my cell phone to call. No one ever answered so I hung up and called back, choosing a different prompt. I was connected with a call center employee who also had trouble getting someone from the hotel on the line. Once she finally did, the quest to order room service didn’t get any better. I needed to be transferred to the restaurant to place the actual order. I was on hold and no one answered. I hung up and called the restaurant directly. It was then that I was able to place my order. It took 30 minutes to get to that point after multiple calls and holds. I would suggest making this process much more streamlined for guests ASAP. Despite the food ordering ordeal I was told a late checkout beyond 11:30 am wasn’t available (regular checkout is 11 am). Everything prior to checkout day was fine, but trying to get room service while having to rely on hotel/restaurant employees to do so left a sour taste in my mouth. I would stay here again, but unless I plan on going to get food myself, I wouldn’t do room service again. The restaurant food was good though!

Nice views, clean rooms. Location is quiet yet very close to fells point and harbor. Beds are decent. Bathrooms are clean but nothing fancy. Service can improve! Check in woman could have been nicer. No upgrades for diamond member. They never picked up the phone so unable to request food or service from our room. No access to the parking next door (which is by the way a bit too pricey) was a bit annoying but no big deal. Value for money was ok considering the location and views. Thank you for hosting us.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Robert at the front desk--he went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Also great was the contracted out valet parking service (metropolis.io). Another special shout out to Michael, who was just wonderfully pleasant and helpful. Robert and Michael are models for what the hospitality industry worker should be!

This hotel seemed way too expensive for its own good. I guess location makes is $400 a night. And they try their best to make it seem upscale, but the rooms are basic mostly bc the Beds feel old. But the restaurant, though carries most basic things had good food.
