If staying in the suites, it’s kind of a pain to get to your room as they are like a separate building and takes a bit of time due to probably the slowest elevators I’ve ever encountered. Hotel is a mix of modern and outdated. Could use some work. Bed was comfortable. Food was alight and overpriced (like most hotels). The service I’ve received was good. Saw some questionable interactions with other guests though. Update: dude working that bar my second night was less than pleasant. Fortunately he only charged me for one of two beers. However the gals that work the snack shop are fantastic. Location is great. Don’t know that I’d stay here again as there are better hotels in the immediate area for the same price range.

The hotel generally offers standard hotel services such as a front desk, concierge assistance, and luggage holding, which can be particularly convenient for guests with early arrivals or late departures who wish to sightsee before or after their official check-in/out times. For modern convenience, the hotel facilitates digital key usage and mobile check-in/check-out through their app, streamlining the arrival and departure process for many guests. While specific details on all amenities are not provided in the given information, Hilton properties typically offer services like Wi-Fi, fitness centers, and often on-site dining options. The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City presents a mix of features that contribute to its overall guest experience. The hotel's architecture and interior design are described as a blend of modern and outdated elements, suggesting that while some areas may have been recently updated, others retain an older charm or are due for refurbishment. Guest rooms are generally found to be comfortable, with comfortable beds being a recurring positive mention. The convenience of amenities like the digital key and mobile check-in/out is appreciated by those who prefer a streamlined, tech-savvy experience. The location is undeniably a major strong point, repeatedly highlighted as "wonderful" and "super conveniently located to prime areas," allowing guests to easily access the best of Philadelphia. However, some guest experiences also point to areas where the hotel could improve. The elevators, particularly for those staying in suite areas that are described as a "separate building," have been noted for their slowness. Food on-site, while available, has been described as "alight and overpriced," a common sentiment for hotel dining. Customer service interactions have also been mixed, with some guests reporting good service and others experiencing "questionable interactions" or finding staff "lacking" in welcoming demeanor or problem-solving. Issues with key cards stopping working before official check-out times and cleaning staff knocking on doors early have also been reported, indicating inconsistencies in operational efficiency and guest consideration. The cleanliness of facilities like the pool and spa bathroom has been a point of concern for some visitors, suggesting that maintenance and upkeep might not consistently meet guest expectations in these areas. Despite these varied experiences, the ability to hold luggage before and after check-out is a significant convenience that enhances the travel flexibility for many guests.
While specific promotional offers are not detailed in the provided information, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City, like other hotels in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, frequently offers various packages and discounts, especially during off-peak seasons or for extended stays. Guests interested in booking should always check the official Hilton website or contact the hotel directly to inquire about current promotions, loyalty program benefits (Hilton Honors), and special rates. Given the mixed reviews regarding some aspects of the hotel's condition and service, prospective guests might consider weighing the highly advantageous location against the reported inconsistencies in service and facility upkeep. It's advisable to cross-reference recent reviews and potentially contact the hotel with specific questions about amenities, particularly if the pool, spa, or specific room features are critical to your stay. For those prioritizing location and comfortable bedding above all else, and who are content with the convenience of mobile check-in and luggage holding, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City could still be a viable option. However, for guests seeking a consistently pristine environment, top-tier service, or a fully updated facility, it may be prudent to explore other options in the immediate area, as some reviewers suggest "better hotels in the immediate area for the same price range." The hotel's strong suits are its central location, the comforting touch of the warm welcome cookies, and the convenience it offers for exploring Philadelphia on foot. For local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in Philadelphia, this hotel presents a well-located option with the recognizable Hilton brand standard, but with specific aspects that potential guests may wish to verify prior to booking based on their individual preferences and priorities.

Mar 28, 2025 · Dennis SpurlockA wonderful location for people who want to be in Philly. It is very conveniently located to prime areas, super walkable and with an abundance of eateries nearby. The rooms were comfortable. I said in a queen high floor- didn't find it that fantastic for the up-charge but the room was clean. I found the digital key easy to use, checking in and checking out was available on your phone as well. The cookies are always fantastic and you should consider grabbing one! They are also willing to hold your bag before and after check out so that's super convenient for those we plan on doing some sightseeing before or after. Here are the negatives: The Sauna room was closed- literally locked and shut with no way to get in. The spa area bathroom wasn't super clean and there is no working dryer. The pool area wasn't the cleanliness. I used it in the morning to add to my workout but found it not the cleanest. Staff: I did not like the service. I found it incredibly lacking. The cleaning lady knocked on everyone's door at nine am which I found unusual since check out time was alive. My partner and I went to grab a breakfast before checking out and she asked if we were going to check out. I responded no but didn't understand why that was an appropriate question to ask since there is mobile checking out. We went back to the room before 1030 when our key card stopped working. Once again, check out was at 11 so we had to go downstairs to get access again so we can go grab our bags. It was very weird and something about haven't encountered before. I didn't find many people welcoming either so it was a shame. I probably wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. I think there are a lot of better options in similar price range in the city, but it's not the worst place in the world
May 10, 2025 · Victoria RodriguezWe just stayed here over the weekend and we had a great stay. The rooms were very nice and clean, plus the location is perfect for the theaters. We went to a concert on Saturday night and the subway was so convenient to get to the stadium. The front desk was also very helpful and nice. We stayed on the 19th floor, room 1921 and I would book this room again!
May 12, 2025 · Theresa FrickThe hotel rooms are very nice, and in a good location with a lot of food options nearby. The lady who did my check-in was a bit rude and did not give me a second key. Also, my shower gel was empty when I checked in, and they promptly delivered a replacement. The view from the room is very nice. It is a little hard to find the hotel, though, and had to do a couple of drive-bys. The parking is across the street and 38$ a night, so it is not a bad deal. Parking with hotel gives in and out previlage.
May 18, 2025 · Monkeyboi ReviewsOur room was perfect! City view, indoor pool, gym everything you need. Centrally located and quick access to Septa. I appreciated Megan who although was very busy took the time to assist us in our process. I can't wait to see the lobby revamped, and new renovations as this is definitely a land mark for the perfect stay. Since parking is scarce it's a plus being right in Center City no vehicle needed.
