When we arrived, we were in for a surprise - the place was labeled as a hotel, not a motel. The area around it was a bit chaotic, with teenagers making quite a ruckus in the parking lots. As soon as my parents and I stepped into our room, we felt an eerie vibe that made us feel like we were in a horror movie. Needless to say, we didn't stay long and left shortly after arriving. I've been to some challenging places, like Bur-Bees in Guyana, and found them to be quite manageable. But my experience in Schenectady, upstate New York, wasn't as positive. Despite Guyana being a third world country, I found it to be much better than Schenectady. It's hard to believe that this place is right next to a police station and a hospital. The door lock didn't even work! Please, do yourself a favor and never stay here!!!! They are breaking laws by not letting people use th.’re service animals!! -10/10!!
For individuals in the Schenectady, NY area seeking "Hotels Near Of Me," the Executive Inn, located at 759 State St, Schenectady, NY 12307, USA, is a lodging option that appears in various online directories. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the hotel, its environment, services, and features, based on the provided information and publicly available guest reviews, while maintaining a neutral stance given the nature of the feedback.
The environment of the Executive Inn, as described by guest reviews, suggests an urban setting on State Street in Schenectady. One reviewer noted that the area around the hotel was "a bit chaotic, with teenagers making quite a ruckus in the parking lots." This indicates a potentially lively street environment, typical of some urban locations. The reviewer also expressed surprise at the property being labeled a "hotel" rather than a "motel," which might suggest a visual appearance or layout that aligns more with a traditional motel structure, despite its listing. The immediate surroundings include a police station and a hospital, which are points of reference provided by a guest, possibly indicating a central, if busy, location. The general atmosphere perceived by some guests upon entering rooms has been described as "eerie," leading to immediate departures. This subjective perception of the environment and ambiance is a significant piece of guest feedback. The outdoor environment includes parking facilities. Without more specific details on amenities like outdoor seating, landscaping, or recreational areas, the focus appears to be on providing basic lodging within an urban context.
Regarding services at the Executive Inn, customer reviews highlight a mixed experience, particularly concerning front desk interactions and specific hotel policies. One review explicitly states that the "Lady at desk is rude as hell," and describes an incident where a guest's brother, who was staying with the primary guest's girlfriend, was threatened with a call to the police, with the front desk allegedly stating "no visitors." This suggests a strict visitor policy that may not be clearly communicated or is rigidly enforced. Another significant service concern raised is the hotel's reported policy regarding service animals, with a reviewer stating, "They are breaking laws by not letting people use their service animals!!" This is a serious accusation that, if accurate, points to non-compliance with accessibility regulations. The direct phone number for the hotel is (518) 393-6692 or +1 518-393-6692, which would be the primary point of contact for guests seeking information or assistance. However, based on the reviews, the quality of service interactions appears to be a notable area of concern. Traditional hotel services such as daily housekeeping, Wi-Fi, and complimentary breakfast are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, indicating that guests' primary focus was on more immediate and pressing issues.
The features of the Executive Inn, based on the limited information provided, revolve around basic room amenities and structural conditions. A critical piece of feedback pertains to room security: "The door lock didn't even work!" This is a fundamental safety concern for any accommodation. While specific in-room amenities like TVs, air conditioning, or private bathrooms are not detailed, the general impression conveyed by reviews is one of a minimalistic and potentially poorly maintained environment. The mention of "flea bag hotel" further suggests issues with cleanliness or pest control. The "small but you can sleep and live so good a lot of playground" comment is from a review for "Lake Country Cabins," not Executive Inn, so this information is not relevant to Executive Inn. Therefore, objective information about specific recreational or comfort features within the rooms or on the property is absent from the provided reviews. The property is described as a "hotel," which might suggest a multi-story building with internal corridors, contrasting with the "motel" label suggested by a guest's perception of the exterior. The presence of a parking lot is implied by the mention of "teenagers making quite a ruckus in the parking lots."
Given the nature of the guest reviews for the Executive Inn, promotional information or positive marketing efforts are not explicitly detailed in the provided context. The strong negative sentiment from guests, including warnings to "never stay here!!!!" and a rating of "-10/10!!," suggests that the hotel may struggle with its public image and customer satisfaction. Traditional promotional materials typically highlight amenities, services, and positive guest experiences. However, based on the provided information, the hotel's primary "promotion" might inadvertently stem from its competitive pricing, assuming it targets budget-conscious travelers. For any hotel, word-of-mouth and online reviews are critical forms of promotion, and in this case, the provided reviews indicate a significant challenge in attracting positive attention. Without an active public presence or specific advertised deals, potential guests searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" would rely heavily on user-generated content, which in this instance, presents a highly unfavorable view. The focus, if any, would be on providing very basic, no-frills accommodation. Any marketing strategy would need to directly address the severe concerns raised by guests regarding safety, service, and cleanliness to rebuild trust and attract new clientele.

Oct 20, 2024 · Brad IssacsI’d give this flea bag hotel negative stars of if I could. Lady at desk is rude as hell. I got a room for me and my girl but I got called into work so my brother went to stay there with her and lady is threatening to call the co saying no visitors.
Dec 23, 2024 · Rags To RichesThe lady I spoke to, Lydia was horrible, very nasty attitude. The nerve of her with that flea bitten dirty location. Reluctantly in an emergency I needed the service for my brother for 2 nights and she said they don’t rent for 2 nights. I’ve never heard of such, I’m contacting their corporate office first thing in the morning. She needs to get a more friendly attitude. They could’ve used that 2 night stay I’m sure. Who turns down profit?
May 29, 2024 · Sandra Thompson8 years ago they had me sign a release of liability that I think mentioned murder. Sirens all night, neighborhood kids playing in the parking lot their parents sitting on the stairs. I don't think I saw any other guests or their cars though. At the front desk said they were nearly full! The window was damaged, wouldn't lock. Was going to stay two weeks but I stayed less than a week and then moved into my rental car parked in a Glenville warehouse instead, much quieter. They increased my daily rate from the discounted two-week rate when I decided to get out of there.
Oct 06, 2023 · Tom HamiltonI would not recommend this hotel for a long stay. The room wasn’t dirty, but we did find some of the previous occupants garbage that hadn’t been noticed by the cleaning staff. Our fridge didn’t work, the TV was nothing but static, and the ice machine is old and clearly hasn’t worked in years. The AC system was outdated, as well as most everything else. The outlets were loose from the wall. You have to ask for the Wifi password, which constantly kicks you off. Also there was no continental breakfast- as advertised- and the coffee machine in the lobby was broken. The staff was fine and closeness to downtown was favorable, but the area in which the hotel is actually situated was not. It was fine for one night, especially since we spent most of our weekend out of it, but I wouldn’t choose to stay there again.
