Steer clear of this place if you want to receive a good night’s sleep. My wife and I stayed a night for a mountain getaway in room 320 on 5/30/25. The guest(s) who stayed directly above us (room 420) continued to make noise the entire time (i.e., stomping, repetitive thumping, slamming, etc.). We notified the front desk at 11:16 p.m., and a young gentleman (gelled dark, short hair with black ear studs) at the front desk said he would issue a noise complaint to remedy the situation. Nevertheless, the belligerent noises continued to persist all night long. The next morning I spoke to the same gentleman and the best he could do was discount my stay by refunding me $20. When I asked for the manager, he responded, “I don’t know when she’ll be in.” Really??? The level of communication in this place is incredibly ridiculous. By the way, this place allows pets to stay here too, good luck. The level of professionalism here is mediocre and not customer-centric. You’ve lost my business for good.

For residents across North Carolina, Extended Stay America Premier Suites Asheville offers a highly specialized and often suitable solution for unique lodging needs, particularly when a standard hotel won't suffice. While the critical customer reviews highlight significant issues like persistent noise from other guests, inconsistent housekeeping (e.g., room not cleaned for two weeks), and concerning handling of refrigerated medication, it's vital to consider the specific niche this type of hotel fills for locals. These issues, while serious, point to operational challenges that Extended Stay America, as a brand, would ideally address to meet customer expectations. However, for a local needing a place for working out of town for long periods of time, as one reviewer mentioned, these issues can severely impact their stay.
Despite these challenges, for North Carolinians, this extended stay hotel can be an excellent practical resource for several reasons. If you're undertaking major home renovations in Asheville or a nearby town, facing unexpected property damage, or needing temporary housing during a relocation to Western North Carolina, the fully equipped kitchens are a game-changer. Being able to cook your own meals significantly reduces living expenses and provides a sense of normalcy that a regular hotel room cannot. The on-site laundry facilities are also indispensable for long-term living, saving time and money compared to using off-site laundromats. For those with corporate assignments or temporary jobs in Asheville, having a comfortable suite with a dedicated workspace allows for productivity and a more stable environment than traditional nightly rentals.
The pet-friendly policy, despite the noise complaint from one guest about pets (among other noises), is also a crucial factor for many locals. Being able to keep your pets with you during a transitional period or extended visit can alleviate significant stress and cost. While the negative feedback regarding noise and staff communication is concerning and should prompt direct inquiry to the hotel before booking, the core value proposition of an Extended Stay America Premier Suites—spacious rooms with kitchens, laundry facilities, and flexibility for longer durations—still makes it a suitable and cost-effective option for specific, longer-term lodging needs for North Carolina residents who prioritize self-sufficiency and a semblance of home during their stay in Asheville.

May 31, 2025 · Eric SheltonI have been here for a little over a month. I was told my room would be cleaned on Wednesdays then all of a sudden it changed to Sundays. I have come in from work and my room hasn’t been clean two weeks in a row. All they can say is sorry. my room is right next to the housekeeping room. The door slams constantly middle of the night during the day. Now here It is 10:30 at night I get woke up. I have to be up at 3 AM to go to work. The people next-door to me are yelling screaming, hollering beating on the walls beating on things. Sounds like there remodeling in there. I go to the front desk to tell them all they can say is, I’m sorry it’s not their job to ask them to be quiet. All I hear is I’m sorry. worst place I’ve ever stayed. I work seven days a week. If you are needing a place to stay while working out of town long periods of time. This isn’t the place. Oh, not to mention if you have to take insulin medication that has to be refrigerated. Do not have it shipped here. They will leave it laying out and not replace it. I spoke with someone the night before the medicine arrived to let them know it was coming. Ask them to put it in my refrigerator in room. I was told most definitely we will. I get here from work the next day and it’s laying on a counter under a window at the front desk. It clearly says on the package refrigerate upon arrival.
May 12, 2025 · Tater MumfordI have stayed in different hotels for work, and this has been the BEST place I have stayed. Housekeeping will always knock on your door, the front desk will always ask if you need anything. Attention is guaranteed. Manager is always on duty, Javier is always attentive. He gives the best impression of the hotel. The rest of the staff is very friendly. Nothing bad to say about this hotel and its employees.
May 27, 2025 · Wesly BalagueraI don't think I have ever taken so many scary, twisting and turning roads to get to a hotel before in my life. The girl was ok. The staff was wonderful but the guests sucked. There were people above us who wouldn't shut up. All night making noise, stomping around. We complained. The staff went to the room and the guests didn't care. What a bunch of jerks. The room was all the great either. Thankfully, we were only there for the night. I wouldn't go back to this one.
May 25, 2025 · Jimmy PSuper clean, very friendly. I’ve paid a lot more and not gotten this kind of stay. I loved my stay, and will absolutely be staying here again. Solid 9/10. My ONLY gripe was that it took 20 minutes to checkin and another 15 to check out because no one was at the front desk. From the lobby of the hotel, I called the hotel and finally got someone. That being said I really did appreciate both the staff and the rooming. The elevator was out and the sweet front desk lady asked if I wouldn’t mind to take a higher floor to allow for older or disabled folks to have the first floor.
