Jun 05, 2025 · Morgan ColyerI booked this hotel based on a great experience at another Holiday Inn Express while visiting Chattanooga a few weeks ago. However, the two hotels were a night and day experience. Upon arrival, the hotel had an unpleasant smell walking in. The front desk staff who checked me in was friendly but the hotel is very outdated at a glance and up close. The pool was dirty. The other elevator was out of order and the bathroom had ceiling tiles. Weird and also, why? Paint would go a long way and the inside of the one working elevator looks like it has not been wiped down in a while. It was only one night and I could have forgiven the absolute dingy look of the hotel had I gotten a good night's sleep and the breakfast I looked forward to but no. I was in Room 207, a king suite and the AC kept cutting on and off the whole night. Even with earplugs, I kept being woken up by the loud sound of the unit. The next morning, I woke up early to get breakfast. I already had my doubts when I saw that all the tops of the serving trays were left open instead of being closed. As a result, the food was not as warm as it could have been. The sausage was burnt and inedible and worst of all, the biscuits were hard and overcooked. As I walked to the table, one of the workers brought out more brown biscuits. Also, for anyone parking, be careful not to park too far from the hotel. I noticed broken car glass on the ground as I got out of my car and the area has a weird vibe at night. Definitely will not return and would not recommend staying here especially if you're spending more than a $100+. Go somewhere else. It's not worth it.
Jun 02, 2025 · Lena OvalleI said that was actually so nice that I stayed here multiple times during my trip that I had. I think the rates were very reasonable and the staff overall was friendly. I will say though that make sure you don't leave anything on the bed in case the housekeeping accidentally throws it away when they clean the rooms. Management was really respectful and the rooms over all were very clean and organized. I even had one incident where the people upstairs did not stop making noise and the front desk took care of it immediately which was really nice
Feb 22, 2025 · Laura HorowitzWe were unable to get home during icy road conditions. The Holiday Inn Express served as our layover for the night. The rate was good, and so was the free breakfast in the morning. I did try to make coffee with the in room coffee maker, but it did not work. Upon calling the front desk, another coffee maker was sent to the room. But it did not work either. So it was coffee at the breakfast downstairs. The hotel could use a little cleaning. The carpet in the halls showed that a good vacuum cleaner would clean them up. Some of the doors were in need of painting or stain to freshen them up. The clerks at the check-in desk were very friendly and helpful, even gave us a senor discount (don't forget to ask). Overall, this was a pleasant stay and kept us safe and warm for the night. I recommend Holiday Inn Express especially when you need to get out of the weather. If my review helped you please like it.
Jan 08, 2025 · JimBo' B. (JimBo')I was really hoping this was going to be a nice trip, but this hotel was very disappointing. Half the gym equipment was out of order. The pool was closed. The hot water dispenser is clogged which apparently has been like that for a few days. Apparently it's tradition for the friend of the person setting up breakfast to make a complete mess by the coffee area... Left the coffee running out of the dispenser. With breakfast the biscuits were undercooked. The sausage patties were over cooked. The cinnamon rolls seemed smaller and were still a little cold. The second day they didn't even have cinnamon rolls. Both days I stayed they opened breakfast at least 10 minutes later than stated with a line of people waiting. For an IHG hotel you'd think it was a motel with the way things are run. I hope this is not the new normal for IHG hotels. To top it off, their wifi was terrible. I kept getting disconnected
