Jun 07, 2025 · Charles TerhuneReally enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel, staff and service of all. The rooftop bar offered great drinks being served by great bartenders! The fine dining restaurants were awesome, food was delicious 😋! The location is right downtown where everything i wanted to do was in walking distance. Needless to say I'll definitely be returning when I'm visiting SA again.
May 17, 2025 · Robert JacksonI want to leave a honest review that the property itself was clean, decor of the location absolutely stunning, and super elegant. We stopped by after seeing the beautiful nonna osteria which is connected to the hotel, which living in Italy for 3 years seemed like a authentic and amazing choice. We did not have a chance to eat due to time constraints so we instead decided to stop by the hotel bar where we met the rudest, most unprofessional, and noisy female staff member who ruined our entire experience. She started out our interaction by making fun of how I said a drink name on accident which I ignored then after I asked a question about the restaurant which she rudely replied, lastly while me and my wife were talking she was making disrespectful faces as if she was listening to our entire conversation. Such a distasteful experience and I hope she is truly spoken to I left on our tab that I felt she was rude.
Jun 08, 2025 · Jacolby KearseThe Fairmount is a gem. The GM, bartender, The Sommelier (yes they have a sommelier!!) and everyone that works there is absolutely lovely, accommodating and willing to go the extra mile. Yes, it’s an old building…and like any old building it has it’s quirks…but this hotel has been thoughtfully and meticulously restored and remodeled by its loving team. The room was clean, well appointed and everything was new. I don’t know if the Hyatt relationship raised their bar, or vice versa…because the staff here is special, and deserve a nod of the hat. Did I mention there are two restaurants in the lobby of this tiny joint? One Italian and the other a steakhouse. I normally try and eat out to avoid eating at the same place, and to try and find genuine local spots while I’m away from home…but one look at the menu and I know I wasn’t going anywhere. I ate all my meals here, alternating between the two restaurants. Did I mention the front desk had breakfast sent to my room at 6am? Breakfast doesn’t get served for another hour, at 7, but they made it happen. I ate amazing food, drank great wine, slept like a baby and overall felt like I was on vacation during a business trip. Late checkout was arranged also. What did they NOT do for me?!?! Cannot wait to come back!! Almost forgot, live jazz on the rooftop on Thursdays.
Apr 26, 2025 · Diego Jose TexeraMy friend and I visited the Fairmount last Thursday, to listen to Jazz at their rooftop. At the door we were greeted by a man that was not friendly, warm or inviting. He asked if we had a reservation, and we did not. He escorted us to the rooftop, and assured us that he would accommodate a table, but he never did. We sat at the bar, and had the fresh seafood platter, amongst some other appetizers and drinks.the food was excellent. The girls at the bar were very nice, made excellent drinks but constantly forgot what they were asked. We asked for water they forgot, another drink they forgot. Didn’t give us napkins or silverware we had to ask for it. I blame this lack of service on management. As the guest arrived, only one couple stated they had a reservation, and the staff greeted guests by saying it’s open seating, sit where you like. I asked Brandon, I think that’s what he said his name was and he identified himself as the GM, pretty sad. I told him about the seating accommodations and he said that wasn’t true about open seating and said that he would talk to his staff. He visited the rooftop twice the entire time we were there appearing overwhelmed sweating and touching his greasy hair. He was very rude, unaccommodating, and threw his hardworking, but inexperienced staff under the bus. This was a horrible experience. Very disorganized .
