First off I am a Hilton member. The hotel is pretty the service from front desk to the parking. My issue is $55 for valet parking, our room had no fridge (working) no microwave it was super hot in the room at night and this is our second time staying here. Both times the pool was not able to be used. I saw a review from 2 weeks ago and the pool was not available then. For them to be considered a top tier hotel this was definitely not it. Then on top of that all the money spent you have to pay for breakfast. We won't be staying here again. The view is nice

The view from our room was spectacular, especially at night. Really liked the easy access to the River walk. One of your employees named Ernest, went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He even took the time to tell us where the best views to the River walk were. Excellent customer service. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at the Hilton Palacio del Rio for 2 nights and overall had a fine experience. The hotel has a lot of positives, especially in terms of location and service. There was a fair amount of construction happening during my stay, which definitely impacted the overall ambiance—especially when it came to enjoying the balcony, which would normally be a highlight. Despite what seemed like a busy time (there may have been a convention or event going on), check-in was quick and smooth—a pleasant surprise. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel's location is excellent—perfect for exploring the River Walk on foot. We opted not to use the valet since it was on the pricier side, but the front desk was helpful in suggesting alternatives. The lobby is well-designed and welcoming, setting a great first impression. Overall, it was a fine stay. While the construction did affect the overall stay, I can see this hotel being a standout choice once everything is finished. I’d consider returning in the future.

I have chosen this hotel each time we visit San Antonio. Though it will be our last. I always have an issue and there is a like of pointing fingers with the staff and lack of communication. This passed weekend we had to cancel due to being charged $500 in tax. When I told the front desk what I booked the room under and my confirmation and price they said because they can't see a breakdown, I have to pay over $1000 for the room. She said it's just how they charge, but my previous time there, they charged me fairly. My previous visits had charges that I didn't ask for. I had food delivered. I let them know I didn't order it or touch it and they refused to refund me saying that the food part of the hotel is not associated with Hilton so they cannot refund. Although it is inside the Hilton. It is a great location, but that's it. We switched over to a much better Hilton near that hotel with excellent customer service. After speaking toa GM, I was informed that the hotel didn't make as much as they expected from visitors they assumed would go to the event nearby so the prices were risen. I have had a bad experience over and over so I am giving a two. I would give a one at this point but the location is great and close to the Riverwalk.

Understanding that rates will match the demand with Fiesta happening all around, but talk about nickel and diming! $5 ATM fee? Not even letting you keep your car there while you check out without charging $45 for valet service? I've stayed here many times for Fiesta and for the price, I should at least just be able to keep my car for an hour while I check out. I'm going to check out some of the newer hotels in the area next year that won't treat me like a piggy bank. Not once did I feel like they valued my business.
