I've been coming to Fontana village for 5 years now to come drive the tail of the dragon with my friends. Every time, Fontana is our unanimous decision of where to stay. We appreciate how convenient the amenities are, the cozy cabins, great restaurant and the fact they have a general store on site which saves you a lot of drives into town for those longer stays. The staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We stayed in a renovated cabin this year and were all quite blown away by how nice it was too so good job on the renovations! I will make one suggestion though, we were 7 drivers with electric cars and the infrastructure on hand to charge is quite limited, 3x 240v hook ups for the entire place. It would be great to have more 240v plugs or even charging stations as electric cars become ever so more present on our roads. Coordinating our charging would be much easier with more access but we managed. Thank you for another great vacation and see you next year Fontana!

Our stay at Fontana Village and Resort was great! Hospitality was among the best we've had. Constantine in particular really went above and beyond. In particular, I'm very critical of having a clean room and this was outstanding. Our first trip down here and already looking forward to our next stay with them! Highly recommend!

In the heart of the Smokey Mountains with access to great local communities. If driving a car or motorcycle is your thrill this place will cater to your needs too. If you like rustic living they have campsites. If you like a hotel style room they have that. If you want a cabin they have that as well. My wife and I have been coming here for 10 years we have experienced weather that was great and not so great! The Fontana Village Resort & Marina has always come through and provided comfort, food and hospitality! We will return again in 2026 for the 23rd Gathering of Minis on the Dragon.

Excellent experience! Very friendly staff, nicely remodeled cabins, Flexible and accommodating. I’m looking forward to visiting again next year! EV charging is available on a limiting basis: this property would really benefit from additional J1772 240V charging stations.

I have stayed at Fontana Village numerous times over the years and have had many positive experiences - this was NOT one of them. If you don't want to read the rest of this just know - do not book a cabin that hasn't been renovated or you will regret it. I just came home from a stay in one of the 2 bedroom Hemlock cabins. It was one of the worst lodging experiences I have had and was definitely not worth the price paid. The cabin was not clean, the couches had rips, stains and pet fur to the point where we didn't even want to sit on them. We also had a major ant infestation in the kitchen area and had to move our food to other areas. I went to the front desk twice to ask them for assistance and never so much as even go an apology or a "how can we make this right". Both times the front desk people said they would put in a work order and nothing happened at all. When I went to check out there was not even a "how was your stay" or "thanks for staying with us" or any kind of "hospitality" at all. I want to come back for future events but this has made me question whether I want to spend my hard earned money and vacation time in a place that adds stress and health concerns to my travels. If management is reading this, then reach out to me and make it right - give me some money off or give me a voucher for a future stay. I'm willing to give another chance if there is any sense that management cares about people's experiences.
