The workers were kind, even though the man who helped me smelled like marijuana. I arrived late on a Friday night with my wife & 3 teenagers. I had reservations, and I requested a room with 2 beds. The only 2 queen bed room available had a smell. The kind worker said he could get me 2 rooms side by side instead. We thankfully agreed, thinking it would be a complementary room for our inconvenience. However, later I realized we were charged for the extra room. After many days and many attempts later to contact a manager, the assistant manager finally returned my call and told me that they could not give us the room free. He told me that we originally booked a king room and that it wasn’t their responsibility to give us the extra room free. I was disappointed that no one in hotel could accommodate us. We needed at least 2 beds and the best they could offer was a smelly room that already had reported complaints from a previous stay. I hoped that after explaining our situation to the Assistant Manager, Cedric Williams, that he would use his power to help us out. Unfortunately, he chose not to help my family. We were treated like a number instead of a family. I’ve lived long enough to know that what goes around comes around. There will be a time when the hotel and its operators will need grace. Will they receive it? Time will tell. I suppose that the money for an extra room for 2 nights was more important than a satisfied return customer. Next time I visit 2819 Church, in Atlanta, I’ll look for a different place to stay.

The minimum age for check-in is 25. The hotel is a smoke-free property indoors, with designated outdoor smoking areas. On-site self-parking is available, but typically incurs a daily fee (e.g., $10 per day).
Guest feedback on this hotel is mixed but often highlights key aspects. Many guests praise the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, with individuals like the morning front desk lady, mid-shift crew, and night shift crew receiving specific commendations for their service. The staff members involved in the shuttle service, such as Wanda and Stephen, are often noted for their promptness and helpfulness. The rooms are frequently described as decent for the price, with some guests finding them clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the food in the on-site restaurant is often complimented as "absolutely incredible."
However, some reviews point to areas for improvement. There have been instances of rooms having an unpleasant odor, such as the smell of marijuana. Issues with room allocation, where guests with reservations for specific bed types were not accommodated, have led to dissatisfaction, especially when additional charges for an extra room were applied without clear communication. Maintenance issues in rooms, such as broken items or general wear and tear, have also been reported. While the shuttle service is generally appreciated, some guests have experienced long wait times or difficulty coordinating pickups. There are also mixed opinions on the value for money, with some feeling the cost, especially with additional charges for parking and breakfast, can be high for the overall experience received. These varying experiences suggest that while the hotel generally offers solid amenities and good staff, consistency in room quality and handling of specific guest situations can differ.
Promotional Information and Value Proposition:
The Four Points by Sheraton Atlanta Airport West positions itself as a practical and comfortable choice for travelers flying in and out of Atlanta, or those needing convenient access to the airport area. Its affiliation with Marriott Bonvoy allows guests to earn and redeem points, which is a significant draw for loyal Marriott customers. The complimentary airport shuttle, on-site dining, and recreational facilities like the pool and fitness center are key promotional points.
The "Best Brews" program at the bar is a unique feature that appeals to those interested in local craft beer. The hotel's capacity for meetings and events also makes it attractive for business travelers and groups. May 16, 2025 · Adam LowreyThe absolute best hotel I have ever stayed at. Employees are very friendly and atmosphere is amazing. The rooms are very decent for the prices and the food is absolutely incredible. The morning front desk lady is amazing. She typically works 7 AM. The mid shift crew is great and even the Night Shift crew is awesome. They have really good staff which makes everything better 10 out of 10. I have to recommend. Great location right by the airport and they offer 24 hours shuttle service
Mar 28, 2025 · ChelseaXin at the front desk was the best. She was extremely accommodating with me needing to check in last minute and I watched her patiently explain to a customer how authorizations work. Most people would have lost their professionalism having to explain a normal situation for 45 minutes over the phone, but she kept her cool the entire time. Kudos to her!
May 20, 2025 · Kierrynie Todd5 Stars – Ade the Legend! If there were a Bartender Olympics, Ade from Four Points by Sheraton would take home gold, silver, and the honorary tequila medal. From the moment we walked into the bar, this man was serving up not only expertly crafted drinks, but also world-class vibes. He casually recommended we check out a spot called U-Bar last night… and let’s just say, we did check it out… and may or may not still be recovering. Was it fun? Absolutely. Was it responsible? Probably not. Would we do it again? Only if Ade tells us to. We stumbled back into the hotel bar today looking like we’d been hit by a party bus, and there was Ade—fresh as ever, all smiles, treating us and every guest like VIPs. His service? Flawless. Professionalism? Impeccable. Hospitality? Michelin-star level. Ade is not just a bartender—he’s a hospitality hero, a cocktail craftsman, and possibly the nicest human to ever wield a shaker. Someone get this man a raise, a trophy, and maybe a small island. We’ll drink to that—so long as Ade is pouring!
May 02, 2025 · Chris RWe had a long day of flight delays and cancellations but thought this would be a good option for our early flight out the next morning. As soon as we got out of the car, we could smell marijuana. The lady who checked us in was nice enough but the parking lot felt unsafe. Again the smell of weed was dominant in the parking lot. The room itself was clean and sufficient, but even the hotel lobby smelled of weed. Not sure what was going on that night, but we wouldn’t return based on the overwhelming stench of marijuana throughout the property.
